This machiya is undoubtedly a hidden treasure in Kyoto. It perfectly marries the charm of a traditional Japanese house with the convenience of modern amenities.

The nostalgic atmosphere of the room and open-air bath will soothe you.
Comes with IH heater and sink. Glasses and tableware are also available, so you can prepare simple meals.

My husband and I are very picky travelers and we were nervous about staying at a ryokan instead of a familiar luxury brand hotel; but Yoshida Sanso surpassed our expectations.

Our bus tour of Japan took us to the Yoshida Sansa for a ‘be my guest experience’ in a traditional ryokan and we had a beautiful, carefully made lunch in this beautiful hotel.

Such a lovely home in a great location. Within easy walking distance of the historic temple district, together with it's charming shops, cafes and restaurants.

Walking distance to Kiyomizu-dera. Charming neighborhood with eateries and shops.

Very nice quiet accommodation with everything you could need. Host was very welcoming, gave us good information.

It was so fun in a traditional Japanese home our family slept all Togther and the Wi-Fi was good also we have a famous ramen place next door.

Machiya Residence Inn, you exceeded my expectations again. Stayed at Tasokare in June. This was my 3rd stay at one of your machiya (4th for my husband).

My friends and me have a nice stay for the 3 days in Kyoto with Shiki Sen.
The ryokan-like accomodation was really spacious and the futons are comfortable and warm.

It is a nice place. The floor warmers in the kitchen/ dining area was very nice even though the ones in the bathroom didn't work.

Everything is well worth the price. The only minus point is that its location isn't perfect. The location is in a quiet neighborhood so if you prefer this then you can ignore my last point.

It was the day before a three-day holiday, but it was empty, so I made a reservation online for sightseeing.
It's a love hotel, but you can make reservations!

My experience was the best in this hotel. After staying at the onsen "Tenzan no yu" (Very good onsen). I Look around hotels to stay one night.
