An amazing stay. The location is excellent, short walk from the bamboo forest and lots of little shops including a big kimono rental chain.

We stayed for one night and it’s a very exceptional hotel. The staffs are very nice and welcoming, making us feel right at home.

This ryokan was incredible! The staff was amazing, the room felt so calming and grounding. It was my favourite hotel experiences by far.

This was our first time staying in a traditional ryokan, and Ryokan Ohanabo made it unforgettable.

Staying at Seikoro Ryokan was one of the best experiences of my life. This is my 3rd trip to Japan and 2nd trip to Kyoto. The first time, we stayed at the Four Seasons in Kyoto.

This was the best ryokan we have stayed at. We stayed at a few 5-star hotels in Japan and this was better than them all! Beds were the most comfortable and our suite had so much charm.

The rooms are spacious and clean, beds are good and the airconditioning works well. The staff is very friendly and there are bikes for rent outside the hotel.

The room is nice but wherever stay Sakura place that you booked, the check in person only stay in Stay Sakura Kyoto Tsubaki.

This apartment is in a great location about midway between Kyoto Station to the south and downtown Kyoto and Gion district to the north.

Wonderful stay at this place. The place was very clean and had all amenities. Wonderful hosts as well. They were really accommodating to all our requests.

The staff here is super duper kind. The whole place breaths the boutique hotel atmosphere. Beds were very good and rooms and furniture seemed new.

Highly recommend! I spent 2 weeks here with my husband — we had the private Japanese room. It was quiet, SUPER clean (they use a Dyson vacuum!

My boyfriend and I stayed here 4 nights two months ago for our anniversary. We couldn't have dreamt of a better "home" in Kyoto, especially after reading 'In Praise of Shadows'.

We really enjoyed our staying at your place! The house itself is amazing and unique! Very beautiful and comfortable. It was warm and cozy! We enjoyed morning tea from Japanese cups.

Good for the price and space but check in process is a bit awkward. I enjoyed the stay but if you're not going to have the patience to check in by Kyoto station (30mins) I don't recommend.

Stayed here for 4 days and it was perfect for first timers and seasoned visitors. It is located in between Kyoto station, Higashiyama district and downtown. All within reasonable walking distance.

I rented a bicycle for 500 yen a day. The tire was extremely old and had deteriorated, and the tube came out from the side.

Best experience. A peaceful and bautiful place to stay with clean traditional rooms.

Typical Japanese experience. The room is spacious, we slept on the tatames/futons which the staff makes for you. And kudos to the staff that are beyond helpful and gentle.

It was good to experience a Japanese ryokan. The room was fairly big as compared to other Japanese hotels we stayed in. The Wi-Fi was very bad in the rooms though.

Our group of 4 loved this spot in the heart of Kyoto in a charming neighborhood of narrow streets, near rivers and many restaurants and bars.

I love the facilities there. The blanket and mattress is comfy. And there is basin in the room. For those who arrived after 9pm.

Really nice hostel with modern facilities. Breakfast offered is toast and tea/coffee which is a nice touch and saves you having to worry about where to eat.

My husband and I are very picky travelers and we were nervous about staying at a ryokan instead of a familiar luxury brand hotel; but Yoshida Sanso surpassed our expectations.

Our bus tour of Japan took us to the Yoshida Sansa for a ‘be my guest experience’ in a traditional ryokan and we had a beautiful, carefully made lunch in this beautiful hotel.
