First time traveling to Japan, we found out this place to practice traditional Japanese archery. Really kind people working in there and amazingly friendly people.

The location is great. Literally on the street with many stores, restaurants and activities.
The room is large, no huge. It has both a traditional living room with tatami and a modern living room.

We had a great stay at this hotel. We lived there for a week. I decided to put review because many negative ones. It was tidy and very cozy.

Great location in the City. Rooms are small, to use two suitcases we moved the furniture around :) Very good facilities and helpfull staff!

This hotel is so cute and cozy! So far, it is my absolute favourite hotel in Japan!
The Gion District is beautiful and quiet, and this hotel is a short walk from some of the main tourist attractions!

Great location, right next to the Gion district and close to a few temples, that made it easy for us to walk. Rooms were clean and as well spacious. One of the better hotels I stayed at in Japan.

A beautiful unique traditional stay with the warmest greeting. In a lovely quiet area but easily accessible to many popular areas of Kyoto. Such a nice break away from the big hotels.

We had a very lovely time at INA house gion. We really got to feel the real Kyoto vibes, bonus points the room was the biggest that we stayed in during our stay in Japan.

I'll definitely book a room with them again. Room is very clean.
I like the fact thag they're not using any deodorizer to hide/mask the smell.

We loved our stay at Enso! Our room was large, comfortable, and authentically designed. The staff were warm and attentive.

Absolutely love this place. The staff were so so friendly, kind and considerate to all our needs. We booked two rooms on the downstairs floor and they were both incredible.

Everything went really from the check-in to the checkout. Staff, breakfast and room were super nic.

We stayed for 3 days and it was an absolute plessure. Everybody is so friendly, polite and attentive. It is the best place to have an authentic ryokan experience. The breakfast was very delicous.

A very Cosy and nice hotel, run by Emiko and her family. Everyone Was super friendly and helpfull. I had no Problems getting to arashiyama or othere places.

The location was right off of busy area of Gion, super convenient yet quiet. The rooms are sooo spacious with the biggest and comfiest bed!

Art Mon Zen Kyoto is as close to perfection as any hotel I’ve ever experienced.

I enjoyed my week long stay here. I have no complaints. The room and bathroom was clean upon arrival, the staff was friendly and it was a reasonable price for my time in Kyoto. I recommend.

Absolutely our favorite hotel of our trip! Free washing machine. A kitchen with fridge freezer! Clean room! Great bathroom! Absolutely loved it. Well recommended. It was also an insanely good price!

Extremely convenient location. There's something new around every corner! Spacious room. Washing machine and drying room for your clothes is excellent! Bed a bit firm.

The hotel apartment in Kyoto has a convenient location with three nearby stations within walking distance.

Haven't been in hostels in a while as there not as common in japan as in other country traveled in.
Dormitory was great big bed usb plug and lights curtains on the bed side.

Confortable (and big) beds and nice shared spaces that are well kept. Bus and train station are 5 minutes away. Although one toilet for so many people might not be ideal.

The owners were friendly and hospitable, even made us some tea when we arrived. The room was exactly what I had hoped for and we left feeling very positive about the experience.

A wonderful “hidden” gem to stay at in Kyoto! I enjoyed my stay here, traditional styling to make you feel like you are in a movie!

This was our favourite hotel in Japan. Staying in a traditional Japanese building in Kyoto made the experience feel truly authentic.

The owners were very kind and attentive, new towels and bins each day and positive interactions with the owners!

Excellent place. The owners are very kind and accommodating. The rooms are so cute and the location is excellent — there's a lot to do nearby but the area is also quiet and relaxing at night.

Definitely recommend! Only visited for an afternoon and totally worth the journey there.
