Kyoto Hotels near Harema Head Office

We stayed here for our 4 nights in Kyoto on our three week tour of Japan.

Where to begin, they're part of the Banyan group so you expect a level of service and luxury and Dhawa Yura did not disappoint.
A beatutiful hotel and space in general.

Amazing location on a central street in Sanjo, within walking distance of all the main shopping areas and with easy access to sightseeing spots and other cities.

Had a lovely stay here — The location is ideal as it is on the main road in central Kyoto as well as close to the river, however not noisy at all.

We recently stayed at Sowaka for four nights and had an excellent experience.
Our room, 209, was spacious, comfortable, and cozy. It provided a peaceful retreat after a full day of exploring Kyoto.

“Authentic luxury” Although the bedrooms are Western style, the feel is pure Kyoto. Beautifully presented breakfast.

Super nice hotel!

We had a very comfortable stay at KABIN Taka. The room was clean, minimalist, cozy, and well-maintained, making it a relaxing place to return to after a day of exploring Kyoto.

My husband and I had a great stay at Mitsui Garden in Kyoto. It is located right near the shopping streets, which made everything very convenient.

Amazing hotel in a fantastic location. We stayed in 5 different hotels for our stay in Japan and this was hands down our favourite.

Wonderful hotel and staff rooms are great but the hotel is a bit dated.

My wife and I had a great stay at Hotel Alza Kyoto. The room was surprisingly spacious and very quiet, even though the hotel is close to the main areas of Kyoto.

Amazing hotel with lots of updated rooms and showers. Easy access to lobby and rooms with great amenities. Very clean atmosphere and friendly service!
Very clean rooms and bathrooms!

I was very happy with my stay here. Kyoto was towards the end of my trip and throughout the past two weeks I’ve gotten very used to tiny hotel rooms, with tiny bathroom and showers.

I found the bed really comfy here! Room sizes are Japanese-style ie quite small for westerners, but totally adequate. The charging ports in the room by the beds are a nice touch.

This was my first trip to Japan and I stayed in Kyoto for three days and two nights. The Grand Bach was absolutely awesome and I would recommend it for anyone but especially solo travellers.

Beautiful hotel with a perfect location. Room was clean and spacious. Only thing to be aware of is the bathroom. There are glass windows into the room.

We had a wonderful stay at Good Nature Hotel Kyoto, and it was a big part of why we enjoyed the city so much.

I can’t help but thinking this is the best hotel in Kyoto!

I stayed at the Tassel hotel 6 nights in September 2025.
I really liked the hotel: it’s comfortable, clean, nice and modern, with a great location to visit Kyoto and helpful staff.

Location is great! It’s an easy walk to many restaurants and all the hidden gems that Kyoto has to offer.

I stayed in 4 different hotels on my trip to Japan, and this one was my absolute favorite. The decor, the rooms, staff, and location was all 10/10! They were very helpful and friendly too.

A excellent hotel!
The building itself beautifully reflects the historic character of the area from the outside, while the interior is nothing short of stunning.

Stayed for 4 days in June 2026. This hotel very conveniently located. It’s easy to reach from the subway Station and this made us getting around the city simple.

Everything was perfect. Prior to our arrival the communication via email was great. The day of our arrival we got there late and they waited for us and received us pleasantly.

Higashiyama Shikikaboku is simply one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in — full stop. From the moment we arrived, the staff set the tone for the entire stay.

The good: very friendly staff, options to have more pillows, an iron, electricity plug converters, etc. Great coffee and nice toiletry selection. Modern-looking and comfortable rooms.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at STITCH Hotel in Kyoto and I’m so grateful I booked it based on other people’s reviews ~ every single positive comment turned out to be true!

Totally worth it. Spacious room for a budget-friendly hotel in Japan, beautiful neighborhood, friendly and helpful staff. Bus stop is less than 5 minutes away.

Nice hotel. Own spacy shower room. Has everything you need. Some towels seems dirty, but you can easily get new ones. Nice room size.

This hotel was located a 20 minute walk from the main Kyoto station…. Temples and viewing tower. Approximately 10 minutes to the main town — Gion region and old town (beautiful).

Room was comfortable, clean and inviting. The view of the skyline was enjoyable. Walkable everywhere we wanted to go and very close to the local train station.

Kyoto Shijo Takakura Hotel Grandereverie is a charming boutique hotel that delivers a more personal and spacious experience.

What a lovely hotel!
The design is great, rooms are spacious, well equipped and very clean.
Location is awesome, close to the center.

Pros:
-Staff are beyond nice and very helpful!
-Zashiki Twin Room was actually massive by any hotel standards, not just Japan hotel standards.
-Room was super cute, futons were comfy.

I couldn’t have picked a better place to stay in Kyoto!

Perfectly located next to Gion and just a 5-minute walk from the bridge to the city center. Convenient access to Kyoto’s main temples and attractions, either on foot or by a short bus/metro ride.

The place is lovely and new, good area, and the staff are lovely. Beds are on the firm side, but very comfortable and with good quality linen. Very happy with our choice.

The hotel has a great location, close to the station, and within walking distance of many attractions. The shopping centre is just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel service was excellent.

It’s in a very popular location — right in front of the Kawa River, and within walking distance to Yasaka Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple.

Comfortable beds and reasonable sized room, plenty of amenities and in a good location near to old streets of Gion and close to two subway stations.

Great location in the heart of Gion so you can stroll at night the touristy spot nearby without the crowd (go to the shrine near the park it’s stunning at night).

For the value, I would still stay here again now that I know how to handle the room/hotel issues.

The location is great as it’s in the heart of the traditional Kyoto, the Gion.

We had a lovely stay at Matsui Honkan in a Japanese style room. There was plenty of space for the family (4 of us) and the Japanese breakfasts served in the room were very good.

We really enjoyed our stay at Matsui Honkan. We stayed in a traditional room, which was very spacious and quiet.
