My recent stay at KYOTO GION HOTEL during my trip to Kyoto was an absolute highlight, perfectly capturing the city’s timeless charm while delivering exceptional comfort and truly heartfelt,

Location is very good. Everything you need in the room bedding a little bit hard staff very friendly. Rooms are a little bit small but there’s a Japanese style.

After travelling through more than 34 European countries and staying in numerous hostels, this one stands out as by far the best.

This is a hidden gem. The rooms are very comfortable, and being able to have a solo room for this price is a superb value luxury.

Amazing place and service, very nice women helping you with the sukiyaki, lamb sukiyaki was amazing, very tasty and tender. Chicken curry and the japanese beef steak box were very tasty too.

We got the lamb for 2 lunch special, which comes for miso soup and white for both people. So good! It was a great meal.

I stayed here during my trip in Kyoto, I would definitely come back again! This place is really recommended!

I had a truly wonderful stay! The hospitality of the hosts was exceptional — warm, kind, and always willing to help. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.

We stayed in this beautiful Ryokan in Kyoto for three nights. Small and secluded the spaces so tranquil and our room was beautiful and comfortable.

Amazing Japanese — style hotel. The staff was so kind and helpfull, could not ask for more. The room was in great shape and well cleaned. 10/10 experience.

Conveniently located just a short 5-7 min walk from Kyoto station (There is a subway connecting the entire stretch — helps in case it rains). The hostel is clean and nice.

Within walkable distance from Kyoto station and is very easy to find. The staffs are friendly and kind.
I stayed in the tatami room and didnt regret anything. Clean, spotless, and comfortable.

The staff here is super duper kind. The whole place breaths the boutique hotel atmosphere. Beds were very good and rooms and furniture seemed new.

Loved my stay at K’s house kyoto! The hostel is in a really central area which makes it really easy to get around to everywhere.

I only have positive things to say about this hostel. The people who work there are SO lovely and helped us with all the questions we had (a lot).

The stay was nice. Showers were clean and there was free coffee. The traditional beds were oke for a couple of days, but not for a week. I was looking forward to a place with curtains and a good bed.

We stayed for 6 nights and loved it. Very helpful, friendly staff, great location and well equipped kitchen with free coffee you can make in individual drip. Amazing hot water for showers.

A really nice place to stay.
Basic room with a futon mattress on the floor which might not be to everyone's liking but very comfortable and everything I needed.

Friendly and welcoming. Good sized room. Shared areas clean and well equipped. Not on the centre, but well served by public transport and easy to get around to all the main sites.

We stayed 4 nights at Sui hostel and we had a lovely stay. Once we entered, there were warm lights, soft music with incense! Amazing!

Stayed here in March and it was my favorite place to stay at in Kyoto.

I think this is the only hotel-like environment hostel from all the hostel I went. Super friendly and warm staff that helps you whatever problems you might have.

Really hidden gem. Well maintained, clean, and very helpful staff.
The atmosphere is really comfortable, come with Japanese traditional design indoor and outdoor.

The futons were comfortable, the room and house were beautiful and the staff were kind, knowledgeable and thoughtful. Taro-san is a one-in-a-million host.

We came to Len for breakfast every morning during our four day visit to Kyoto, as it was a very convenient few block walk from our hotel, and there was always a table available.

We really loved our time at the Guesthouse Kioto, the hosts are lovely and we got a fantastic japanese breakfast too, with slight variations on multiple days.

If you’re looking to experience a traditional ryokan with the luxuries of modern Japan (Airco, great shower, etc) look no further. A really amazing and magical place.

I stayed in a two-bedroom room, and we slept really well! The breakfast were ''ok''. The place is clean and located in a quiet neighborhood, close to many of the city’s highlights.

Really clean and quiet hostel. Around 7 minutes walk from shijō station.

Hibari hostel was exactly what we were looking for. Friendly, simple accomodations.

We took the Annex room.
Its basically a closet with tatami Mats — but pretty good for the price.
The lobby and sanitary facilities are good and clean.

Great place, and everyone was so kind and helpful, giving you tips for nice areas to visit. Would highly recommend.

This was a great location with beautiful scenery and easy access to transportation to explore Kyoto! There are many different shops and restaurants lining the streets, and the staff were very helpful.

It locates in a quiet neighborhood. The building is an authentic Japanese style wooden house. You can really see how Japanese lives in daily life. The staff is friendly and willing to help.

Great location. Very cute and authentic. Staff are very nice! Cafes and laundry around. They also have lots of board games and coffee and tea, and a map of Kyoto vegan food etc super helpful.
