This is a PERFECT hotel — especially for families.
We stayed at the hotel with the kids — the room was huge and had 2 bathrooms and 2 showers, so no fighting over these!

I don’t think I can say enough about our experience at MIMARU Shijo. My family and I (4 people) stayed for 8 nights.

Not one to normally write reviews, I felt compelled to write one after our stay at Mimaru Kyoto Station.
Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff who were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

I’ve stayed in many hotels and I can say without a doubt that the staff at Mimaru Kyoto Station are the best front of house team I’ve ever encountered.

The apartment was spacious and well equipped, which made our stay comfortable overall. We appreciated having kitchen utensils, and everything necessary to make daily life easier during our trip.

This was the perfect place to serve as a base for our holiday in Kyoto.

Cheapest price weve paid out of 3 bookings weve made and it was the best one. Close to the bus stop, everythings withing walking distance. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

The room is fairly large and comes with a kitchen and washer. The shower room can also be used to dry your laundry. I used the luggage transfer service, and it went flawlessly.

We loved staying at Ben’s guesthouse. It was the perfect spot for our family of 4 while we visited Kyoto. Ben and his staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed for 6 nights and the room felt like a home away from home. The spaciousness of it was a welcomed treat after many small hotel rooms in Japan.

We had a great stay at the Apartment Hotel Mimaru, in Kyoto. The location of the hotel is reasonably close to the main shopping streets of Kyoto and the local train station a short walk away.

There are six rooms per floor. Two face the back, one the side, three the front. We were thrilled our room faced the back, because the street in front is so busy you can hardly run across.

A little apartment with everything you need for your time in Kyoto. Includes washing machine, microwave, cooker, hairdryer and fridge freezer. Location great for the old parts of Kyoto.

Check-in could only be done at 3pm sharp via a Skype call with their remote customer service team through an iPad they have at the reception.

Stayed here for 2 days and it was wonderful! We stayed in one of the bigger rooms and it had a large kitchen, a big bathroom with a washing machine and a spacious seating area!

After 4 days in a cage in tokyo, this apartment was god sent. Self-checkin was smooth. No problems whatsoever. Plenty of space for luggage.

Stayed here 4 nights with family of 3. There is no front desk but one staff present during check in time (3-10 pm) to give key.

We enjoyed the extra large space (separate bedroom; living room; kitchen/laundry; bathroom. ) There is no front desk staff so any needs you have (ie: extra towels, etc.

Location was very good as it was in a quiet side street although close to quite a busy tourist track to a nearby temple. The person who checked us in was very helpful.

Great rooms for a great price. Modern, comfortable and stylish. Bathrooms have a soaking tub and shower. Comfortable dining area to spread out if you are in Kyoto for a couple of days.

This is the first time I've stayed here, we got the suite, the room is so clean and so much newer than the photos on the website.

Me and my twin adult sons have been traveling the world for almost 10 years and these accommodations beat ANY other pound for pound.

I went to Kyoto with friends and stayed at Hotel Bon Kyoto Station for 9 nights in November. The location is convenient and room/facilities are nice too.

Sometimes you just find a hotel that has everything.
I mean literally everything you need in a hotel room.

The place is lovely and new, good area, and the staff are lovely. Beds are on the firm side, but very comfortable and with good quality linen. Very happy with our choice.

I would definitely stay here again. Great location and price when I stayed 1 night.

This is a really great hotel with very affordable price and quite near to Kyoto Station. The house rules are kinda overwhelming at first and it's fully self service.

I can't fault this place for the price that wouldn't cover the cost of the cleaner in Australia. Easy to find on a lovely quiet street a short walk from. The station.

Absolutely our favorite hotel of our trip! Free washing machine. A kitchen with fridge freezer! Clean room! Great bathroom! Absolutely loved it. Well recommended. It was also an insanely good price!

We had great stay w my 10 years old daughter, thought the hotel was missing a parking for the bicycle.

This is the best hotel in kyoto, rooms are very spacious. Only a train away from gion district. The beds are very comfortable and service is top notch and I loved staying here.

Very accessible as its 2 trains away from ether kyoto or osaka station. Staff were very nice and responded to chat even when we checked In late.

The check in process was fast and easy. The room was nice and fully equipped. It will be more helpful if you provide a washing machine with dryer so we need to hang our clothes to dry.

Great location and very quiet despite being on main road.
Room sheets not clean and extra bedding not set up, we had to do all of this ourselves.
Needed to get new sheets without stains on them.

I have been studying abroad in Japan for a little over 3 months, and stayed at Stay Sakura for around 50-60 days over the course of these past 3 months.

Room was reasonably sized for two people, clean, and comfortable. Hotel is in a quiet residential area, but also very conveniently located near a bus stop and a train station. Staff were friendly.

Super affordable, but still lovely/clean hotel close enough to inner Kyoto.

Staff were kind, knowledgeable and helpful.

Very nice quiet accommodation with everything you could need. Host was very welcoming, gave us good information.
