An excellent stay in Kyoto. We stayed in the executive King Room which had a view of Yasaka shrine…Big room with lovely bathroom, and huge comfortable bed.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Nohga hotel in Kyoto! We were impressed with the cleanliness and the thoughtfulness they had with designing the space.

Stay here in kyoto if you can. You won't regret it.

I don't know where to start on how much my husband and I loved Hotel Seiryu. From the moment we turned into the drive we felt in awe. Check-in was very smooth and our room was GORGOUS.

Our stay at the Park Hyatt Kyoto was, quite simply, the pinnacle of hospitality.

Our stay at Park Hyatt Kyoto was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless, thoughtful, and truly world-class.

We thought this hotel was fine. It was very easy to get to (we used the 206 bus from Kyoto which stops right outside) and was a 15 minute walk from the centre of Gion.

Loved my stay at Gion Elite Terrace so much that I cancelled the check in at another hotel so I could stay an extra night. We booked the superior king with sauna and it was worth every penny.

My wife and I stayed two nights at Six Senses from Feb. 16 until the 18th, 2026. It was our 15th anniversary and the hotel staff provided two really nice hand written anniversary cards.

I had a very pleasant stay so I’m giving it 5 stars. Very close to the train station and 3 convenience stores. At scheduled times, they would provide free udon and alcoholic beverages.

For the value, I would still stay here again now that I know how to handle the room/hotel issues.

The location is great as it’s in the heart of the traditional Kyoto, the Gion.

Loved this hotel! Favorite stay while we were in Japan. Our bed was comfortable, our room was a good size and luxury bathroom.

Would book again, 100/10. The hotel location was walkable to many of our must visits, and, was just a few minutes from the bus stop. Shopping and food options within the area, and it stayed quiet.

Location is very good. Everything you need in the room bedding a little bit hard staff very friendly. Rooms are a little bit small but there’s a Japanese style.

Poor sound isolation, so you can hear everything on the streat.

The room was clean, there are a lot of facility. However, No one support you at front of hotel. When you will check in, you need to go another place.

Based on facilities it's not a 5-star hotel, but it sure comes close. The room was small but well equipped and spotlessly clean. Excellent bed. Well-equipped bathroom with American shower.

Possibly the loveliest, most relaxing hotel I have ever stayed in. This is a 19 room hotel on the riverside in a quiet part of central Kyoto.

This is an amazing hotel, you won’t believe what you are walking into from a busy street. The little path way leads into a quite luxurious boutique Japanese building and garden.

Hidden gem in Kyoto. The rooms are massive. Very hard to find rooms this big and unique. The room includes a tea room, and a balcony with a beautiful view of Kyoto.
