Totally worth it. Spacious room for a budget-friendly hotel in Japan, beautiful neighborhood, friendly and helpful staff. Bus stop is less than 5 minutes away.

Nice hotel. Own spacy shower room. Has everything you need. Some towels seems dirty, but you can easily get new ones. Nice room size.

We had an incredible stay at Six Senses Kyoto. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming in a way that felt effortless rather than scripted, which set the tone for the whole stay.

We loved our stay at Yasaka Yutone. The room was comfortable and spacious. The cypress bath was lovely for a relaxing soak.

Amazing location to stay in traditional Kyoto. This Ryokan has a bit more luxury than the traditional ones and we had a lovely stay.

Other people say the service is unfriendly but my experience strongly disagrees.

Ah, one of the best hostels in Gion because you will meet so many foreigners here & make friends at the dining table. The best part was the kitchen & shower area. Super clean.

I stayed at The Ryokan Hostel Gion in Kyoto and had a great experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the entire place — including the showers and bathrooms — was spotless.

The facility is very new and had decent amenities. I'm glad they had washer and dryers. You can't beat the location. However, the room was small for the cost.

Rinn Kyoto Gion Shinbashi is a very well located hotel, with clean rooms and excellent facilities.

Shizuya is a beautiful hotel, I loved the cosy atmosphere starting from the lobby.

I found this kind of accommodation rather often in Japan recently.
Compact and it reminds me of rubik cube somehow.  
The wall is very thin and it is not soundproof.
