Kyoto Hotels

Loved the bathtub!
The room was comfortable and big enough for us.
The free (great) coffee was a wonderful add on, and the common area was spacious and comfortable.

Very convenient location. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Pretty close to Gion and Nishiki market.

Place is far from kyoto Station but very close to a lot of tourist attractions. Ideal if you want to head over to the attractions early in the morning before any crowds.
Place is ideal for families.

The cleanest and the most comfortable stay i've ever had! Was here in Kyoto for our 4D3N honeymoon. Highly recommended for young couples/ people who don't mind climbing up a little bit of stairs.

The place where you feel like home❤️the owners are true gem❤️❤️❤️accommodation, food, location — 100 out of 10💖
Best homemade Japanese vegan food ever💖
Despite its the traditional house they have the

Best experience ever, the mutu family were super friendly and welcoming, they are very nice people really, the house is so adorable and sleeping on floor was best sleep I had.

Great hotel! like a 20min walk from kyoto station, a little bit up hill tho. Check in at 4pm.

Overall, I was happy with my experience with this hotel. However, there are some issues that would prevent me from returning or recommending the hotel to solo travelers in the future.

Lived here for 5 nights, rooms are equipped with cooking top, fridge and washing machine. Very comfortable and 2-min walk close enough to subway station.

I had a wonderful stay at Tanimachikun HOTEL Kyoto Station Higashi 29!
The location is very convenient, with easy access to transportation and nearby facilities, making travel around Kyoto very easy.

I stayed here last year during summer, and it was absolutely amazing. The room is beautiful, clean and has great air conditioning. The service was really good and thoughtful.

Beautiful Japanese style room with modern finish. We were greeted with ice cream and allowed to check in early for no extra cost or problem at all. The lady who helped us was very nice!

Was a fun stay in kyoto! Rooms are a bit small but have all you need in the form of a place to sleep and bathroom.

The location of the hotel is very good and the facilities are very complete.

On our third trip back to Japan, we wanted to experience a temple stay.

My partner and I spent one night at this wonderful and historic place, and I can honestly say it was an experience beyond anything we expected.

The room was really nice and super relaxing 😊 Loved the quiet atmosphere.

You have everything you need inside, small kitchen and wash&dry machine, microwave, TV and air conditioner, private bathroom. Clean and well maintained + reasonable price.

Fantastic experience staying at this traditional ryokan just down the road from the iconic Kiyomizu Dera.

Had a super nice first ryokan experience here!

Our stay at Shorenkan Yoshinoya was an absolute masterclass in Japanese hospitality!

Traditional ryokan. Fantastic food and service. Open air onsen good. Nice quiet neighbourhood.

We got a room with two double beds, enough to sleep 2 adults and 2 small children, with decent space.

Good hotel, nice spacious room and clean.

The exact ryokan experience we were hoping to get in Kyoto. Beautiful, traditional building and rooms, absolutely incredible Japanese breakfast each morning, and comfortable futons.

I stayed in the single room at Inn Kawashima for 7 nights. It’s a quiet place to rest and recharge after going out for the day.

I stayed there for 5 nights.
The hostel is located around an hour (by foot) from kyoto station.
The street was calm, quiet and dark at night perfect for sleeping.

If you are fed up with the monotonous hotels that are common in Japan, this is the place for you. If you are looking for excessive quality, I recommend staying at the Hilton Hotel.
