Kyoto Hotels

Prime location with few steps access to Kyoto Station where you can find a few tons of options for dining and shopping. The room was clean and breakfast buffet was good. Very friendly staff.

Extremely strategic location.
Literally a short walk from Kyoto Station, making airport transfers and JR connections very efficient.
Reception team was polite and fast during check-in.

We have stayed in 5 different hotels during our stay in Japan and the Mimaru Kyoto Shijo West was by far the nicest.

The staff were so friendly alwayd welcoming us back and spoke English very well. The Pokémon Room was the best decision.

Just returned from Japan and one of our stays was at The Machiya Ebisuya when we visited Kyoto. Beautiful traditional inspired hotel.

As of May 29th, the location was very convenient, with easy access to the city and nearby attractions. The transport connections were also good, making it easy to get around Kyoto.

Hotel has a nice entrance and reception is reached via a lift to the 2nd floor. Check in staff are friendly and helpful.
We booked a triple room, grandma, mother and teenager.

Much cleaner than other 3 star hotel. My skin is not allergic to the bed sheets at all!
The room is slightly bigger and well designed than other hotel in Kyoto.

When in Kyoto, staying at Dusit Thani would be a great choice that would not disappoint you. This concept hotel is a chic, luxurious delight for travelers looking something extra in a hotel.

​My friend was craving Thai food, and we were so glad to find this all-day dining spot. A huge plus is that their last order is at 21:30, which is perfect for a late dinner.

Great central stay in Kyoto. Highly recommend. We stayed here for 5 nights. The staff was nice and friendly. The small room was comfortable enough and the shower was divine.

Room was quite small but good enough for a couple. They have great amenities and you can get extra towels from the 1st floor by yourself.

This hotel was one of the best surprises of our trip to Japan and truly a hidden gem in Kyoto.

Amazing stay, only 2 nights, but so good. The location is perfect for walking to several tenples, and there are restaurants everywhere. Coffee, beer, wine, sake, shopping, and plenty of sightseeing.

It is Ryokan so you should expect things to be there like in Ryokan.

Very beautiful and quiet place to stay in Kioto traditionally decorated with tatami bed and shogun doors inside the room.

Muni was a really beautiful experience. Right outside the front gate is Arabica by the lake, which is beautiful by the way.

Had a great stay here. The staff were super friendly and helped us book restaurants (a must in Arashiyama since places fill up fast). Room was very clean with a nice mountain view.

The hotel is stunning and feels way more elevated than the DoubleTree hotels in North America — beautiful lobby!

I really liked my stay at the hotel. The staff was cordial and tried its best, even with the linguistic barrier.

Perfectly located just opposite Toji station with literally a 5 minute rail ride to Kyoto central station. Rooms are nice, quite spacious for Japan, and the breakfast is good.

Flawless check-in, spacious clean room, thorough daily cleaning, but the real stand out is breakfast — wow.

I stayed in 4 different hotels on my trip to Japan, and this one was my absolute favorite. The decor, the rooms, staff, and location was all 10/10! They were very helpful and friendly too.

The room is fairly large and comes with a kitchen and washer. The shower room can also be used to dry your laundry. I used the luggage transfer service, and it went flawlessly.

We loved staying at Ben’s guesthouse. It was the perfect spot for our family of 4 while we visited Kyoto. Ben and his staff were very friendly and helpful.

My stay at the Granvia was beautiful. The rooms, beds, pillows were so comfortable I didn't want to leave the room. Thankfully the beauty of Kyoto dragged me out!

Quiet and centrally located. I was nervous because there were so few reviews and one mentioned a bug problem but it ended up being for nothing. The room was large and clean.

Kyokoyado Muromachi Yutone Ryokan is a wonderfully welcoming place that truly makes you feel at home. The rooms and common areas are very nice, clean, and tidy, with great attention to detail.

The location is very central to Kyoto, but did not feel too crowded and overwhelming.

My partner and I stayed at sequence for 3 nights in October 2025 in a twin room.
We initially chose it for the amenities and value for money. The room was spacious, modern and stylish.

Very clean and modern looking rooms. The staff is really polite and they offer a lot of additional free benefits.
You get a bunch of value for the price. Can't recommend ot enough.

This was the 3rd hotel we stayed at during our Japan trip. Short walk from the station. While the rooms are small compared to US hotels, it is pretty spacious for Japan hotels.

Absolutely loved my stay at hotel androoms. Room was large and comfortable, with a beautiful bathroom. Coat brush and shoe horn provided, as well as pajamas and other amenities.

We stayed at hotel tou for a total of 5 nights in October. We stayed at the superior queen suite for 3 nights and the terrace suite for 2 nights.

We stayed here for 5 days to explore Kyoto and Osaka. Several things about the hotel stand out. The friendliness of all the staff, both at reception and in the breakfast room.

Had a fantastic stay here :) the service is great, check in was easy and quick, and we got free welcome drinks/coffee. The rooms are small but clean and cozy with a desk, and the bathroom is great.
