What a pleasant stay! Nice rooms, all well managed. Breakfast could be better, I mean they are ok, but could be more rich. Otherwise, I definitely would stay again.

It's a good hotel of you come here alone. The room are not big, I think it's a standart of hotel room in Japan.

I absolutely loved my stay at The OneFive Kyoto Shijo. Among the three hotels I stayed at during my trip across Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo, this one was by far my favorite.

The room was very spacious! especially the bathroom. The room overall was well above Japanese size standards. The room was super clean, great air conditioning. The location is also perfect.

I stayed six nights in one of the tatami rooms and really enjoyed it. The studio felt modern yet traditionally Japanese, and while it’s set up for three people (which might feel a little crowded),

Great little hotel. Stayed 8 days. Servicing every few days with the ability to swap towels on a non serviced day.

Amazing service and location. Right next to Gojo Station and only 1 stop from Kyoto station.
Rooms were clean and towels were changed every day. They also cleaned the garbage every day.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I almost skipped out to book a hotel since I wanted something nicer than hostels but this is far from a traditional hostel. It feels like HOME.

Ground floor apartment, very spacious, brand new, and immaculately clean. The linens were spotless and smelled great. The apartment has everything you could need during your stay, and more!

Very nice accommodation. The hosts are great, the place is great and the location is great. Great cats too.

Very cute little coffee shop and homestay. They have a lot of home made bagels that are served with cream cheese or some other toppings. The bagels are nicely chewy.

Absolutely amazing food and very kind people, would recommend visiting if in Kyoto and the ham cheese bagel plus scrambled eggs is fantastic.

Stayed here one night for filming. The room was so much more spacious than the rooms we stay in by the Haneda Airport. The view here is great too.

On vacation, my wife booked an excellent room at this hotel. It was a little expensive, but breakfast was included.

Although this is a self serving hotel, everything else is just perfect! The room is very spacious and clean. I love the fact that they have separate shower/tub, sink and toilet.

A great spot to stay if you're looking to see Kyoto — it's really close to the train station and so is ideal if you're planning day trips to Nara/Arashiyama/Osaka/Kobe as well.

The rooms were clean and had amenities. It was within easy walking distance of the city for us. There is good security.

Very new and clean Airbnb. Has got washing machine, big fridge, stove, kettle, microwave. The only minus it's as it's not a hotel, they cant do luggage transfer service between hotels.

Positives:
-We had a whole apartment to ourselves — it was nice having 2 separate rooms, one western style, one Japanese style.

Fantastic service with very friendly staff. Super clean, great public transport via bus and train 👌🏽 would stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Rinn Kitagomon, it was in a quieter part of Kyoto but a short walk to a Main Street and walking distance to other parts of Kyoto. The staff were kind and helpful.

Peaceful area that is about a 10 minute walk from the busy area of Kyoto that you want to be at. Very nice, spacious room with great service and a relaxed vibe.

I just moved from a 4 star to this 3 star and the beds are bigger, comfier and the room is more spacious. Self check in was simple, Wi-Fi works and AC too.

Just enjoyed our 5D4N at Kyoto & we stayed at Hiz Hotel Gion Shirakawa as our base. Very charming apartment hotel.

We were so happy when we got to Kyoto and found this hotel as it was very hot and we'd only been in Japan a couple of days. Bus stop was a minutes walk which helped.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with huge rooms, tatami floors, whirlpool bathtubs, unrestricted tv's, and a gorgeous private onsen that you can book. Fantastic location in the heart of ancient Kyoto.

Banyan Tree hotels always feels more than just another accommodation, its a retreat and home away from home.

A new, clean, Japanese-style hotel with excellent service. The best thing about it is its location, right in the heart of Kyoto's train station.
