Kyoto Hotels

Good value for money.
Despite arriving much earlier than official check-in time (arrived at 2pm, but room is available by 4pm onwards), we are allowed to check-in to our room.

The hotel is in a very strategic location, just a short walk from Kyoto Station and Aeon Mall. The service was excellent, and the stay was very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Stayed here one night for filming. The room was so much more spacious than the rooms we stay in by the Haneda Airport. The view here is great too.

On vacation, my wife booked an excellent room at this hotel. It was a little expensive, but breakfast was included.

We LOVED our stay at Sumiya Kihoan. My boyfriend and I visited along with our friends who are also a couple and we all had a wonderful experience.

Our stay at Sumiya was the highlight of our trip. We were looking so forward to the private onsen in our room.

Hotel Route Inn is located very near to JR Kameoka, making travelling very easy for fellow tourists/travellers.

Great clean rooms, spacious, kitchenette and washing machines (in our room option). Perfect for long term stays and with an infant. We liked the location — not super touristy.

Stayed here in January with my husband and 1 year old. The apartment was great for someone with a small child as it was mostly baby proof.

I can only recommend this guesthouse! The premises are clean, in a nice area, stylish design. Rooms are big, prices are cheap. I even met the owner, we had a nice conversation about Japan. 5 stars!

Super friendly and helpful staff and fellow travelers! Conveniently located near the subway as well as some tourist spots.

The best hotel we have ever stayed in! Absolutely beautiful, tranquil accommodations with gorgeous design.

As much as we wish we could keep this gem a secret for ourselves, the world deserves to know about this incredible place, and Higashiyama Shikikaboku deserves to be recognized for its world-class

Stayed in this hotel for three nights. Location is good. Railway station, bus stand at walking distance. Shops like lawsons nearby. Shopping malls, shops, eating places at walking distance.

The location of this hotel is honestly the best part – it’s right across from Kyoto Station, so getting around is super easy with buses, metro, and JR lines. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Train stations, restaurants, bars and shops all around. Staff were very helpful and informative. They went above and beyond to help with anything we needed.

Our family of 4 Stayed in 2 rooms (with the double/twin bunkbeds). Very clean and new/modern facilities, staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.

We booked family room and stayed all family for 4 days. It is very clean and specious room. Facilities enough. Hotel is quite and we could rest well. Location is great, one station from Kyoto station.

Loved this place. Best shower I have EVER taken. The water pressure was incredible.

Good location. Very friendly staff at the front desk, but won’t be there all the time. Clean, comfortable, lot of storage space, enough utensils for 4 people. The kitchen fan is noisy.

I honestly love the room as it is so spacious! This hotel is right next to the Kyoto station making transportation easy and for kids it is next door to a cat cafe.

The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, so it may be a bit difficult to reach by public transportation. However, this makes for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Welcoming staff and clean, spacious room, with laundry machine in the second flour, quiet convenient. The bus stop is right in front of the building so it is really easy to move around the city.

We stayed at this hotel for six days and had a very pleasant experience overall. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and exceptionally clean.

I absolutely loved my stay at The OneFive Kyoto Shijo. Among the three hotels I stayed at during my trip across Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo, this one was by far my favorite.

Tabist Groove in Kyoto exceeded all my expectations.

The staff was very helpful with any questions I had about the city and were very nice. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed.

Kahori, the owner, is absolutely 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I stayed here on a long solo trip through Japan, and Chita really felt like home.

Very good and the lady is very nice!

Nice chill place to stay in a very convenient location. You're really close to the station and there are a lot of conbinis around.

Conveniently located just a short 5-7 min walk from Kyoto station (There is a subway connecting the entire stretch — helps in case it rains). The hostel is clean and nice.

We had an incredible stay and can’t recommend this hotel enough. The atmosphere is so relaxing, the rooms are beautiful, and the food is top-notch.

It was a amazing experience to stay in Ryokan shimizu. Loved how quietly it was and the private bath was amazing. Had the chance to try calligraphy, I think I did well 😅.

This is probably our favorite hotel in Japan.
No competition whatsoever.

We booked the 4th and 5th floors (double bedroom and private bath. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful! It's a great location.

Amazing rooms, even better staff.
I can’t say enough good things about La’Gent hotel. The rooms are beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable to return to after a long day of exploring.

Really nice hotel, very good space compared to other Kansai hotels. Rooms were very clean and smelled nice. Were a bit dry but humidifier provided was easy to use and helped a lot.

For the price of two, location wise, amenities and services, and in Kyoto? this place is superb!
Major points to consider of this hotel:
* walking distance from Kyoto Station for around 10-15 minutes.

The accommodation was great, and the reception staff were enthusiastic.

I stayed here in early May for two nights with their breakfast option checked. Not sure why the reviews seemed mixed but it was a lovely, clean resort.

A very tranquil vibe — the hotel is located near Amanohashidate viewpoint station and just opposite of the entrance to the Amanohashidate Viewpoint.

I had an absolutely beautiful stay here in February. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I felt incredibly looked after.
This was my most comfortable sleep in Japan.

This joint is a bit of a hit-&-miss for my family and me. We love the location — can't beat it. Close by to key attractions — the chair lift & monorail up to the scenic lookout and amusement park, as

Thank you for making our engagement weekend so special ~ ♥️
The service was incredible and the ladies that looked after us were very attentive and kind.

Exceptional hotel with big rooms and beautiful views. Very clean and exceeds our expectations. Dinner and breakfast are so delicious and special. We definitely will come back again.
