Totally amazing. Small comfortable hotel with everything that you need and nothing that you don't need. Towels and water supplied daily. Near Tanbaguchi station.

I stayed for four nights at this location, the customer service was excellent, we arrived at 10 AM and stored our luggage at the reception, when we came back our luggage was inside our rooms.

I enjoyed my week long stay here. I have no complaints. The room and bathroom was clean upon arrival, the staff was friendly and it was a reasonable price for my time in Kyoto. I recommend.

Absolutely our favorite hotel of our trip! Free washing machine. A kitchen with fridge freezer! Clean room! Great bathroom! Absolutely loved it. Well recommended. It was also an insanely good price!

The hotel was a great choice for my five-day stay. It had everything I needed and is very well located in Gion, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable.

This is a very small hotel located at the edge of Gion, 2 km from Kyoto station. There are just less than 20 rooms, very quiet.

Very clean. Centrally located. Rooms bright and airy. Bunch bed style.
Towels are 300 yen. And then there is 200 yen per day tax. Did not see this info on booking page.

Jam is wonderful! I have stayed there a few times, and would absolutely go back. The owners are incredibly friendly and kind, with great English.

Great location and really cool historic kyoto building. The landlady was also super helpful and very patient with my bad Japanese. The private baths were also a plus.

Such a wonderful experience to have while visiting kyoto. Beautiful location, and great hosts. We enjoyed a private traditional breakfast during our stay. Would definitely recommend.

We really loved our time at the Guesthouse Kioto, the hosts are lovely and we got a fantastic japanese breakfast too, with slight variations on multiple days.

This homestay caught my eye at first, I loved his Japanese-style.

So I definitely didn't look at the description/photos closely enough. For context this was my first time traveling to japan and traveling alone, so I booked the tatami room for myself.

Booked a deluxe twin room via Agoda. Reasonable price for two beds and a connecting room where a sofa bed was. The bathroom was very spacious and clean.

Employees are very nice, but some of them can get confused easily. The layout of the room is cluttered. The location is close to JR Saga-Arashiyama Station and the hotel provides free shuttle service.

This place feels brand new. It's very much a luxurious hotel feel. We have a twin bed room and it's very comfortable.

Spent five nights here and our stay was even more enjoyable than expected.

Great value esp for duo travelers. Cozy, great distance from inari shrine so you can beat the crowds. Close to station. Tatami rooms without the price of a fancy hotel. Service is self serve.

What a lovely guesthouse! When I arrived at the reception, I just fell in love with the vibes of the room—simple but feels warm. 💛 The receptionist was friendly and nice.

I stayed for a week at Gurst Hotel Saikaan Aoi, as a solo female traveler. It was very, clean, safe and comfortable as I am traveling through Japan.

If you want to sample a Japanese style hotel, this a wonderful place to stay. Very welcoming and d helpful staff, and centrally located in Nishi Maizuru.

Great cheap hostel with very friendly staff. The location can not be beat. Visited in the winter it was cozy and warm, small but comfortable.

Stay at this hundreds of years old house if you are in Kyoto. The Property Manager is one of the kindest people you'll meet in Japan.

Everything was great and we really enjoyed our stay at this traditional ryokan hotel. Check-in was easy and we were able to check in a little earlier without issues.

Nice small Hotel with good equiped rooms. The location is near the subways and the Nijo castle.

I have very good experience staying in this hotel, best location serounded with many restaurants, convenient stores, and just 2min walking distance to metro station.

This is the best hotel in kyoto, rooms are very spacious. Only a train away from gion district. The beds are very comfortable and service is top notch and I loved staying here.
