Very nice small self check in hotel. We got all the info by mail. Rooms very clean. I definitely recommend.

The hotel was nice all-in-all. A bit dusty in some spots and our room had a handle broken. Also the "bar" downstairs had a soda stream but couldn't find bottles anywhere.

Simply beautiful. If you want a true authentic experience but with all the amenities come here. Almost didn’t want to go out of the house.

Great location, big machiya, modern amenities. No stovetop, but has a small induction top that plugs in. Loved it.

A lovely traditional-style accommodation. Staff were warm and accommodating and the rooms were comfortable.

Lovely old traditional houses are part of this accommodation. Not for those expecting privileges of modern living and or the modern capsule hotel type space.

Traditional style of Japanese hotel. I really love it! It's also clean and quiet. There is a parking lot nearby. Good for hotel guest who arrived by car.

An old townhouse has been completely renovated into a modern Japanese facility.
The neighbors also greet you casually and make you feel as if you live there.

It's in a great location in the center of Kyoto, and we had a great time at the Kyomachiya. The facilities and amenities were also attractive.

Wonderful motel. We felt very lucky to stay here, although the beds were seperate, we had a wonderfully sized room with plenty of space for us that felt 100% authentic.

Stayed there for a night. A nice boutique hotel. Walking distance about 10-15 mins from Kyoto station. Plenty of parking nearby. No breakfast provided. Self serve washroom amenities at the front desk.

First thing I wanna point out is that, I posted this review a little too late. I visited a month prior to this review. And here are some things I'd like to share!

Helpful host. He gave us good info of where to explore. Great central location, a little difficult to find so make sure to get the details from the host first.

Great apartment with a lovely host who used Google Translate to explain everything. Fabulous location very close to Nishiki market. Very fast Wi-Fi also!

We stayed here with our ten month old baby. It was perfect for our short stay in Kyoto. Highly recommended guesthouse in a fantastic location, just minutes from Nishiki markets.
