There are 2 Lawson nearby, one is the Groceries Supermarket and the other one a Combini. Stops basically in front of the place. About 10 mins walk to the Train station.

We loved our stay here as the room was spacious (by Japanese standards), clean with a small balcony that provided plentiful natural light and fresh air if wanted.

A beautiful spot run by a lovely, generous couple. The food was incredible along with everything else!

Good apartment hotel in the centre of Kyoto. The interior is new. Double glazed windows are installed for perfect noise barrier. Parking is available nearby.

Excellent room with everything you need, very clean, washing machine, bath are great. The location is quiet with quirky local businesses around. Close to a bus stop which makes it easy to get around.

I've traveled to Japan many times, but there's no better accommodation than here. If you want to enjoy your trip to Japan properly, I highly recommend this place!

Stayed here for Christmas and I think overall we had a good experience. The owner was very polite and gave us a gift and also kindly gave us a ride to the train station.

The inn is in the Gion preservation district full of antique shops and small restaurants. The building is a traditional Kyo-machida and the owner, Kazuhiko says it’s been an inn for 50 years.

This is a very traditional Japanese house turn in to inn.
Owner is very nice, as soon we arrive he seat us down and explains all the attraction and ways to get there easily.

I just moved from a 4 star to this 3 star and the beds are bigger, comfier and the room is more spacious. Self check in was simple, Wi-Fi works and AC too.

Just enjoyed our 5D4N at Kyoto & we stayed at Hiz Hotel Gion Shirakawa as our base. Very charming apartment hotel.

Quiet and centrally located. I was nervous because there were so few reviews and one mentioned a bug problem but it ended up being for nothing. The room was large and clean.

We've been there for 3 night in second night we find out that the smell in the bathroom going worse.

Rooms are nice and clean but can do with a little maintenance. Our bath had a leakage but the hotel manager fixed this up nicely. Breakfast is a skip in my opinion.

We had a wonderful stay here (booked through Airbnb). The location is close to Nijo Castle, so though it is a bit far from Kyoto station, it is still very accessible.
