A good place to stay overnight near Nishiki Market. I appreciate the clean bathroom, although the bedroom is quite small and a bit cramped.

The rooms and the shared spaces (bathroom/washroom) are exceptionally clean. I think also the location is very good.

Pros: Loved this little Machiya House. Exactly like the pictures. Felt traditional and authentic. Futon was comfortable and location was pretty. Ticked off my Machiya Experience.

If you want the Japanese-type room experience, book here. Caution for those with lots of bags or huge luggages, they don't have an elevator, so you'll have to carry it yourself.

It is a very traditional TingRoom in Kyoto. Everything is very beautiful and likely to be as elegant as it is expected. And it is very clean.

It's the best location if you want to explore Gion. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The best thing about the place is the atmosphere, it's pure Japanese style.

Great location and really cool historic kyoto building. The landlady was also super helpful and very patient with my bad Japanese. The private baths were also a plus.

Having arrived earlier than usual check in time at Hotel Minato, we were made very welcome and told that we could check in and leave everything in our rooms.

Place is far from kyoto Station but very close to a lot of tourist attractions. Ideal if you want to head over to the attractions early in the morning before any crowds.
Place is ideal for families.

The cleanest and the most comfortable stay i've ever had! Was here in Kyoto for our 4D3N honeymoon. Highly recommended for young couples/ people who don't mind climbing up a little bit of stairs.
