Kyoto Hotels near Old Rissei Elementary School

The room was really nice and super relaxing 😊 Loved the quiet atmosphere.

You have everything you need inside, small kitchen and wash&dry machine, microwave, TV and air conditioner, private bathroom. Clean and well maintained + reasonable price.

The host is very friendly, providing personalized sightseeing recommendations on hand-drawn notes that are both cute and detailed. The location is excellent! The house is clean and well-maintained!

Amazing location and perfect place to experience the real Japanese life! Walking distance to many places, the owner is super friendly and supportive! I recommend staying here!

My partner and I loved our stay here! The rooms were so clean and we had SO much space all to ourselves!

The guesthouse is in a perfect location – quiet, yet very central. It’s exceptionally clean and perfectly equipped.

Absolutely amazing, centrally located and affordable. Li, the owner, goes put of his way to make you feel at home. Lots of toiletries to use and laundry service.

Great location and really cool historic kyoto building. The landlady was also super helpful and very patient with my bad Japanese. The private baths were also a plus.

Such a wonderful experience to have while visiting kyoto. Beautiful location, and great hosts. We enjoyed a private traditional breakfast during our stay. Would definitely recommend.

Great Ryokan located in the middle of the tourist district of Higashiyama (walking distance to Kodaiji, Yasaka Jinja, Ninenzaka, SannenZaka, KiyoMizuDera, etc; no need to fight the crowds on the bus!

I stayed here for almost a week and I really enjoyed my stay. It’s a family run ryokan and the family is very hospitable and friendly. They made me feel very welcome.

My second visit to this amazing family-run inn. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The rooms have been cool in summer and cozy in winter, and always quiet.

We LOVED our stay at Kikutani!

The hotel is great and has a really great location. The room is a bit too small for 4 people but for Japanese standards it’s okay. We really wished there was a accessible table.

I just moved from a 4 star to this 3 star and the beds are bigger, comfier and the room is more spacious. Self check in was simple, Wi-Fi works and AC too.

Yutaka was such a fun and helpful host, the best we had during our stay in Japan! We also loved how quiet it was at night despite being so well situated in one of the most popular areas of Kyoto.

Perfect for a family of us 5. Located in a.
Great location to walk to everything with a very helpful and friendly staff.

This hotel was located a 20 minute walk from the main Kyoto station…. Temples and viewing tower. Approximately 10 minutes to the main town — Gion region and old town (beautiful).

Room was comfortable, clean and inviting. The view of the skyline was enjoyable. Walkable everywhere we wanted to go and very close to the local train station.

This is a brilliant place to stay — it’s really big and comfortable with an amazing bathroom with two soaking tubs, one inside and one out!

This is an amazing place in a beautiful district, and it’s super convenient—you’re just a short walk from the bus and metro stations!

Modern look building but surprisingly being an old machiya with 100+ years history, amazing!
Good location, facilities and service. Definitely will recommend to friends who want to taste Kyoto.

This guesthouse is a over 100 years old Machiya, Japanese traditional house. So beautiful and convenient. 3 minutes to nearby subway station by foot.

Having arrived earlier than usual check in time at Hotel Minato, we were made very welcome and told that we could check in and leave everything in our rooms.

Great stay at the hotel. Service was amazing, they really went out of their way for us. Breakfast and coffee was excellent — filling and delicious. Rooms are clean and nice.

Superb. Friendly team at reception desk. Spacious room for our family of five. Complete with shower, washing machine, heater, kitchen and cutleries and Wi-Fi.

Ultimately a clean and lovely room. I had no trouble with the firmness of the bed, I had a comfortable sleep.

Very decent service-apartment-styled hotel. Spacious, clean and well designed.

Only electronic iPad checkin with only a Japanese number to call, no WhatApp, no Messenger. We had to through our daughter in Australia.

We had a lovely stay at Matsui Honkan in a Japanese style room. There was plenty of space for the family (4 of us) and the Japanese breakfasts served in the room were very good.

We really enjoyed our stay at Matsui Honkan. We stayed in a traditional room, which was very spacious and quiet.

The service here is really great, the front desk staff and all are friendly, polite and helpful, beyond the 3 star designation that it has (I think that's to do with the facilities, but I digress).

Totally loved it! We stayed here for a few nights. We had to do the bedding but it was worth experiencing the traditional Japanese room space.

Before coming to Japan, we thought the room here would be very small based on the photos.

Super cute hotel! I loved the designs of everything. I thought the room was going to be dark all day, but there is a huge window that allows lots of natural light in the morning.

This funky hotel had a lot of charm and some good amenities. The lobby felt like an elevated hostel where lots of people were hanging out with coffee/tea always available.

We stayed at Hotel Amanek Kyoto and had a very good experience. The staff were super friendly, and the rooms were very clean.

Great service and lovely staff, has its own sento which was always quiet. They also gave free juice/tea. It was easy to walk to the centre and there were frequent buses right out the front.

A hotel with really good size rooms in Kyoto! Enough for two large suitcases to be open on the floor. Unheard of in Japan!

Room was very chill, but mattress was very hard.
I could Hear the springs when I was breathing.
Other that that nothing to Complain.
