Hotels in Kyoto with Breakfast near Old Rissei Elementary School

We stayed here for our 4 nights in Kyoto on our three week tour of Japan.

Where to begin, they're part of the Banyan group so you expect a level of service and luxury and Dhawa Yura did not disappoint.
A beatutiful hotel and space in general.

I was on the female’s floor and the only negative thing I experienced was the people waking up early (around 6am) and not being very quiet whether it was with their suitcases or their friends.

Perfect cheap stay for people who want the better hostel experience.
Pods are roomy enough and beds are comfy as heck. Central location makes it easy to go to most places within a short time.

We recently stayed at Sowaka for four nights and had an excellent experience.
Our room, 209, was spacious, comfortable, and cozy. It provided a peaceful retreat after a full day of exploring Kyoto.

“Authentic luxury” Although the bedrooms are Western style, the feel is pure Kyoto. Beautifully presented breakfast.

My husband and I had a great stay at Mitsui Garden in Kyoto. It is located right near the shopping streets, which made everything very convenient.

Amazing hotel in a fantastic location. We stayed in 5 different hotels for our stay in Japan and this was hands down our favourite.

Wonderful hotel and staff rooms are great but the hotel is a bit dated.

My wife and I had a great stay at Hotel Alza Kyoto. The room was surprisingly spacious and very quiet, even though the hotel is close to the main areas of Kyoto.

We loved this hotel! Our space was small as expected for Japan but also perfect for two people. The facilities were clean and comfortable.

I found the bed really comfy here! Room sizes are Japanese-style ie quite small for westerners, but totally adequate. The charging ports in the room by the beds are a nice touch.

Beautiful hotel with a perfect location. Room was clean and spacious. Only thing to be aware of is the bathroom. There are glass windows into the room.

We had a wonderful stay at Good Nature Hotel Kyoto, and it was a big part of why we enjoyed the city so much.

Amazing hotel with lots of updated rooms and showers. Easy access to lobby and rooms with great amenities. Very clean atmosphere and friendly service!
Very clean rooms and bathrooms!

I was very happy with my stay here. Kyoto was towards the end of my trip and throughout the past two weeks I’ve gotten very used to tiny hotel rooms, with tiny bathroom and showers.

Location is great! It’s an easy walk to many restaurants and all the hidden gems that Kyoto has to offer.

I stayed in 4 different hotels on my trip to Japan, and this one was my absolute favorite. The decor, the rooms, staff, and location was all 10/10! They were very helpful and friendly too.

A excellent hotel!
The building itself beautifully reflects the historic character of the area from the outside, while the interior is nothing short of stunning.

Stayed for 4 days in June 2026. This hotel very conveniently located. It’s easy to reach from the subway Station and this made us getting around the city simple.

The good: very friendly staff, options to have more pillows, an iron, electricity plug converters, etc. Great coffee and nice toiletry selection. Modern-looking and comfortable rooms.

Stayed 3 nights in the Moderate Double Room.
CHECK-IN.
Smooth, nothing much to comment. Agoda stated guests would be charged at check-in for the city tax.

Totally worth it. Spacious room for a budget-friendly hotel in Japan, beautiful neighborhood, friendly and helpful staff. Bus stop is less than 5 minutes away.

Nice hotel. Own spacy shower room. Has everything you need. Some towels seems dirty, but you can easily get new ones. Nice room size.

This hotel was located a 20 minute walk from the main Kyoto station…. Temples and viewing tower. Approximately 10 minutes to the main town — Gion region and old town (beautiful).

Room was comfortable, clean and inviting. The view of the skyline was enjoyable. Walkable everywhere we wanted to go and very close to the local train station.

Kyoto Shijo Takakura Hotel Grandereverie is a charming boutique hotel that delivers a more personal and spacious experience.

What a lovely hotel!
The design is great, rooms are spacious, well equipped and very clean.
Location is awesome, close to the center.

Pros:
-Staff are beyond nice and very helpful!
-Zashiki Twin Room was actually massive by any hotel standards, not just Japan hotel standards.
-Room was super cute, futons were comfy.

I couldn’t have picked a better place to stay in Kyoto!

The rooms are clean and this hotel has some super fun amenities.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived earlier than check in, and the hotel allowed us to store our luggage. Having laundry was great.

We had a lovely stay at Matsui Honkan in a Japanese style room. There was plenty of space for the family (4 of us) and the Japanese breakfasts served in the room were very good.

We really enjoyed our stay at Matsui Honkan. We stayed in a traditional room, which was very spacious and quiet.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Gozan and couldn’t have been happier with the experience.

Our stay at this hotel exceeded all expectations—it was truly wonderful, and we would absolutely stay here again in the future.

My recent stay at KYOTO GION HOTEL during my trip to Kyoto was an absolute highlight, perfectly capturing the city’s timeless charm while delivering exceptional comfort and truly heartfelt,

Location is very good. Everything you need in the room bedding a little bit hard staff very friendly. Rooms are a little bit small but there’s a Japanese style.

As a family of four — 2 adults and 2 children (4 and 12) we had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The location was good on a quiet street and not too far from the Kyoto station.
Check-in.

From Gojo Station, if you’re traveling light, you can take Exit 1, which brings you directly onto the same street leading to the hotel.

Fabulous room at ridiculously low price. Bath/shower was particularly great. Fantastic location. Very helpful staff. Breakfast also terrific.

Had a wonderful stay at BnA Alter in Kyoto.
Our room was 501 — which featured a fantastic mural and light show by artist Mon Koutaro Ooyama.

I read some of the cleanliness reviews prior and had none of those issues, we stayed here for 4-5 days and of all the hotels we stayed in, more and less expensive, this was all in all the cleanest.

This is a nice place to stay if you want to experience an authentic and traditional ryokan an amazing Japanese experience you would want to know/live at least once, staff was friendly and room was

Out of all the hotels I stayed at this trip to Japan, having gone to Fukuoka, Osaka, Nara, Tokyo, and Kyoto.

Location is not entitled their fault. About a 8 minute walk from the nearest metro. Staff was always polite and helpful. Front desk staff spoke multiple languages so that was helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at The Blossom Kyoto. The location was excellent just a short walk to multiple train stations, making it easy to explore Kyoto.

The Blossom hotel in Kyoto is one of the best hotels we've stayed at. The staff is extremely helpful and kind.
