Motel has lots of old world charm, but my personal preference for the room was not up to my expectations.

Such a beautiful hotel with the kindest staff ever.

Great location and wonderful facility. Staff were great — so friendly and helpful. Loved it. The preservation of the historic buildings in Tasmania whilst still serving modern life is impressive.

We hired a motorhome from near the Hobart airport and on our last day we stayed at this campsite before returning the motorhome in the morning next day.

Super friendly staff and a lovely family atmosphere. The air pillow was an absolute highlight for my 3 boys.

This place exceeded our expectations. Breathtaking views. Fabulous service, including breakfast. We also enjoyed a great dinner. The rooms are spacious, clean and well laid out.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Very spacious and clearn room. So close to Salamanca markets and some very good restaurants all within close walking distance. Very friendly and obliging staff.

Check in and out was seamless. Hobart is an easy town to walk around so the position of the hotel was good and if you are hiring a car to travel around the Island, Avis is next door.

We booked an apartment room which was brilliant for our week-long stay — small kitchen and separate living/dining room on Level 9. The room was very clean and extremely comfortable.

I was very disappointed when I tried to call for many times, and get hold on the phone with NO answer from reception about the car parking.

Great views! We enjoyed the open space of the hotel. Comfy bed. Clean. Good lighting. Big windows. Near lots of good places. They held our luggage for us before our flight which was super helpful.

Stunning scenery and architecture, really amazing setting. Service is excellent and very precise, appreciate a lot the fact that the GM is always interacting with guests and making sure all is well.

We stayed at Saffire for 3 nights. On the first day had a boat cruise which was awesome. Staff were friendly and helpful. We also did some biking and loved it. The whole experience.

We were warmly welcomed by the front counter staff and offered bag storage as we arrived early and well before check-in time. This allowed us to freely explore the city.

Upgraded to harbour view… so very worth it. Light spacious room, good soap, shampoo and conditioner. Elegant & clean.

Vibe Hotel Hobart is an excellent choice if location is a priority. The hotel is perfectly positioned in the heart of Hobart, making it easy to explore the city on foot.

The hotel is spacious, clean and adorably retro. But in saying that, it has been kept up to date.

We came off a red eye plane trip from Perth WA and as we are in our 70s, we were knackered. They found a room for us quite a bit earlier than check in time. We were very grateful.

Average hotel with large rooms. I stayed there for business and reception was closed during when I was checking out. I left the keys in-drop box and called the hotel for invoice.

Had a wonderful 6 night stay here in January, 2026. Huge room with very large living areas. Well equipped laundry (combo washing machine/dryer).

Needed one last nights accommodation and fell into this little gem. Good location, vaulted ceilings, continental breakfast at a reasonable price.

This is a hotel in a traditional old building in a great central location. We enjoyed our stay and the staff were all really friendly and helpful.

The apartment is beautifully restored with thoughtful vintage touches. Mary is fantastic, very kind and helpful.

Location was central to restaurants and weekend markets. Apartment was comfortable with well equipped kitchen and laundry. Free parking was an added bonus.

I you have availability on this place, just go-ahead and book. Our Host John was wonderful. The rooms were so unique with Antique touch.

My friend & I loved our stay here. We stayed 3 nights, then left to do 3 Capes Hike, then returned for another 4 nights. Lovely room with 2 x single beds (including electric blankets) & bathroom.

We’ve just concluded a seven-night stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Hobart and were very impressed overall.

We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hobart for a family holiday in early January and had a wonderful experience. Check-in was seamless, and Kat at reception was particularly lovely and helpful.

This place is my home away from home. The lounge area is so cozy and the staff are rad.

I've been meaning to stay here for years, rather than just coming in for cocktails during happy hour. Well worth it!

Very comfortable hotel in a good location in town and a very short walk to the harbour and information centre where many day tours leave.

We recently enjoyed a 5 night stay at Movenpick in a Harbour View room. The view was fantastic! So lovely to see the sailboats and the sun rise and set.

A great little one night stay, lovely room which was very well equipped. The room was spacious & very light & bright & the kitchen was wonderful, it even had a dishwasher.

Lovely 1 bedroom apartment includes huge, clean and modern bathroom. Extremely comfortable king size bed with soft linen. Nice little kitchen nook and separate living area.

Nice old buildings full of Character, rooms had no aircon (only heating) but the room didn't need it, it seemed to keep a nice temp throughput our stay.

We loved staying at this stately home in a beautiful historic neighborhood. The downhill walk to town was a quick 10 minutes. Returning was uphill, but not onerous.

Every great hotel experience is largely about staff/guest interaction and this hotel excels in this regard.

Travelodge Hobart is very conveniently located — within walking distance to Brooke Street Pier, common tour meeting points, and Salamanca Market.
