With the sort of luxuries you’d expect from any top end hotel in the world, VERGE in the centre of Launceston was a real surprise packet. The industrial modern decor is stylish, warm and private.

We loved our stay at Alice’s Cottages in the Irish Cottage. Everything we needed was provided. The room was very clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable and warm.

We stayed just 1N and wished we had booked the cottage for more nights! We had the English cottage.

We stayed here for the last 2 nights of our 2 week honeymoon trip around Tasmania.

A last minute change from a budget hotel to peppers silo ended up being a fantastic choice snd excellent value for money. Large, modern well equipped rooms. Comfortable king bed.

We had a two night stay for a special occasion and were not disappointed. Located above Mudbar and on the river it was the perfect end to our holiday to wind down before heading home.

The accommodation was wonderful, we had a river view, the room was very spacious & very clean. The staff at the front desk up to the house keeping staff were super friendly & helpful.

Lovely old hotel in Launceston. Room was generously sized and the bed was comfortable. Check in was quick and simple. Off street parking was available (and ample).

Amazing place to stay. Excellent customer service, my room was to die for — spacious, comfortable, well appointed, beautifully decorated and quiet.

Our stay was for only 1 night. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom, which was perfect for our group of 3. Room very comfortable & warm.

My husband and I stayed at Windarra and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had booked a different room but Susanna upgraded us to 'The Residence' which was absolutely wonderful.

I'm not sure where these recent bad reviews are from.
We come here every year and if anything, the food is better than last year.

A lovely place to stay 20 minutes north of Launceston. Multiple accommodation options for all budgets. Friends staff and very clean rooms.

We really enjoyed our stay in one of the hill top villas — very clean and the beds were really comfortable. Great view.
Would definitely recommend.

Will accept late-night arrivals, and payment can be arranged the next day. The washroom complex is massive, with around 8 separate showers and 5 separate toilets in the male section.

It's our first time to visit Launceston. We were glad we found Hideaway on George. It's a quaint, safe, quiet and clean place. The room is just right. We got all We need.

Great central location set back from the street with parking, close to restaurants and shops. Check-in was friendly, fast and easy.

King room with small balcony was comfortable, clean and spacious enough for an overnight stay. And so handy to have free car parking just outside reception entrance.

Is this a good hotel? Sure. Facilities are modern, the building is clean and tidy and the service is good. It is… at best, a quality beige experience.

Great Location and Service. I will be booking a Deluxe Room next time though as the beds are much more comfortable. The standard room bed was too hard for our liking.

The 2 bedroom executive suite is actually not executive quality. The suite 219 we were allocated was dated. Only ensuite and bathroom were new looking. Carpet was dirty and not flat.

This property is on a steep road — we liked it a lot. The view in the room was phenomenal, with the city right under your eye.

Steep drive but great location… excellent rooms. Needs a lift if you have knee or hip issues. Great price.

We stayed at Kurrajong House for 5 nights. The room was beautiful and cosy and the bed was comfortable and super warm during the cold nights.

Had a 1 night stay in the Emily room, what a gorgeous room and house. About a 7 minute walk into town.

Amazing experience. I would have to rate this as one of favourite, if not my favourite luxury stays. The room was really clean and layed out nicely. It's very private and quiet which was perfect.

What a magical moment place, the room was fantastic. The fire pit with a loaded wood pile ready to go was a charming touch.

Beautiful quiet camp ground. Get one of the spots along the side for nice private secluded grounds. Laundry and toilets are really clean.

We had a lovely stay at the Auldington Hotel. Close to the City centre and had no issue walking to and from the hotel. Didnt have any issues with the noise and the room was very comfortable.

I met with James the manager today at the property. James is crearly passionate about looking after his guests and is keen to attract bisiness travellers. The property was very clean and tidy.

Tim was a superb host. He gave us so much help and information. Pointed us in the right direction every single time.

We stayed in Febraury 2026. An old hotel that been parially renovated, it is well located, with free off street parking. The rooms are spacious and clean.

An older, but rather grand looking building. Used to be a former Grammer school I understand. We loved the old World charm of the building & the proximity to town & free parking.

I have stayed here a few times before. On short notice, I needed some accommodation, due to husbands urgent surgery and preferred to stay here again.

Had the pleasure of celebrating my 60th at Sporties in the function room with family and friends.
It was a fantastic night with brilliant service and the platters drinks and cocktails were excellent.

Last night my family and I came for Dinner to celebrate my Birthday.

After a long training session, we took the team for a couple of beers in the beer garden.

We booked the function room for a 60th birthday party, the staff, venue and catering was fabulous and a great time was had by all guests.

An amazing boutique hotel with beautiful, quiet rooms and charming Victorian-style décor. The rooms were peaceful, elegant, and full of character. A truly relaxing and memorable stay.

A great hotel! Freshly renovated as it smelt super clean and nice. The rooms are stunning, even though we had a room facing a wall there was still ample natural light, lovely bathroom.

The rooms are good and big enough. The entire cabin was fully cleaned, and you don't have to worry about cooking as they have all the utensils.

We had an overnight stay with a late check in which was seem less. All was done over the phone and Annette was very kind in turning on lights and air conditioning prior to our late arrival.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel.

Location; Easy short walk to cafes & restaurants further along Brisbane Street.
