What a wonderful spot, Ash, Brock and Al make you feel very welcome and from our experience nothing is too much trouble.

From the first moment I stumbled across Grande Vue (on a previous trip to Hobart) every interaction with the wonderful host, Ash, and staff, was a delight.

We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t fault our experience. The hotel was beautifully presented, very clean and thoughtful designed, making it feel welcoming from the moment we arrived.

Cosy, welcoming, unique, and deeply relaxing — it felt like a little hideaway right in the heart of everything.

Excellent location. Well equipped room. Bed was not comfy thou. Two single beds pushed together of different thickness to make a king size. Other than that all good.

A lovely place to stay with all you need including an option to get your washing done. The staff are very helpful and the place was cleaned to a high standard.

Located next to Arthur Circus, it’s just a short stroll to Salamanca Market, as well as local cafes, restaurants, and pubs. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with lovely old-world charm.

The Grand Old Duke is indeed grand. We spent 4 nights there and the accommodation was beautifully decorated and clean. Reminded me of my grandparents home in England.

Perfect location, easy check in/out process, good parking.
The room was nice and roomy but the highlight is the location.

The penthouse room is great value because it's big enough for a catch up with friends and very private. The decor is a little bit tired but it's clean and has a full kitchen.

One of the best feeds I’ve ever had. Was on the search for a nice seafood marinara pasta and found this place and it didn’t disappoint. More of an upper class restaurant with a pub like menu.

We had lunch at the 'Shippies' right in Battery Point. It was a bit of a surprise to discover a big bright modern dining room inside the facade of this old pub.

Beautiful accommodation, For a 192 year old Colonial building, full of history. Room 8 is huge, nice views, a beautiful feel about the place. Comfy beds, very clean.

Stayed at Battery Point Manor and it was a good stay for the price. It is an old property, so you can hear some muffled sounds from other rooms, but nothing too disturbing.

This was a great little find at the top of the stairs to Salamanca markets, an easy walk home from so many restaurants.

Stayed here for just one night on Friday night.
Really enjoyed our time there. The onsite parking was super handy for our rental car.

Located perfectly on the Esplanade, beautiful vibe hotel which gives effortless access to battery point as well as the wharf side, facility wise it has adequate facilities in the kitchen to cook.

Such a pleasant surprise to discover and stay at these holiday apartments right in the heart of Salamanca. Our room (premium) was so pleasant with a lovely view of the park.

Our stay here was absolutely brilliant. Our room was perfect, very large, everything you need in the kitchen to cook your meals, very good bathroom and our bed was very comfortable.

The room was incredibly spacious and came with a fully equipped kitchen. Having free parking was a huge plus, especially since it's within walking distance of Salamanca Market.

We are staying in Salamanca Place looking for a great place for a drink, but couldn’t unfortunately find a wine I prefer.

Had an amazing stay at Watermans Hotel over the Hobart Marathon 2026 weekend. The staff were very kind, friendly and helpful and the room was clean and had everything you need for a stay.

The cutest hostel! Such an amazing view and there’s a lovely resident dog! The beds are nice and big and they’re comfy, there’s private bathrooms with a toilet and a shower.

I picked blindly and excellently for my stay in Hobart. Antony is a one-man show keeping the place in tip-top shape.

Very clean and very friendly staff, we were stuck in Bicheno and desperate to find an accommodation in Hobart, friendly and helpful staff member has been very helpful by getting us 2 bedroom

A good location close to the port and lots of choice of places to eat. First impressions weren’t good — parking is an extra cost of $15 per night, that’s not on the websites!

My husband, my mother-in-law and I stayed 1 night as we wanted to view an art exhibition at Salamanca. Fabulous position for walking to Salamanca and town.

Good view if you stay at unit 3 or 4. Beautiful rooms and decorations. All you need is provided! I love how we can use cookware and kitchen. Just no shower gel or soap. Value for money.

We were lucky to get a room at Galleria on short notice and stayed for two nights. The apartment is located in a perfect spot. The room was quite spacious and had a massive television.

Excellent spot to stay, right in the heart of Tassie and walking distance to everything cool.

We had a three night stay here in Apt 7 in November 2025. The location is excellent, and easy walking distance to town. The upstairs room is as described, with access via a set of steep stairs.

Great location and well equipped kitchen with washing machine. Loved the view very much as well. Less than 5 minutes walk to walamanca.

Great location, comfy bed, nicely renovated. Unfortunately the smoke alarm started beeping at 3.00am and kept us awake on our last night.

We booked 3 deluxe studio apartments. Each deluxe apartment had 3 rooms — kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with lounge. Deluxe apartments are located on the top floor.

Great for the price. Close to Salamanca. The renovated rooms are nice enough. It's a shame the old blinds haven't been replaced because they are a bit dampener on the reno.
