We’ve had a great time. Service was great.

We loved our four nights at the hotel. Was close walk to most city sights. Staff were absolutely so welcoming and the fireplace was great to sit in front with a nice wine.

Fabulous location in walking distance to Salamanca, the Wharf and round town. Beds are super comfy. Beautiful fire to sit around in foyer while mulling over a Zimmah Coffee liquer.

An excellent stay at this RACV property, great staff, wonderful breakfast and fabulous rooms. Definitely in keeping with RACV Club standards!

Superb location! Friendly and efficient staff. The hotel was always warm and welcoming throughout our stay. We enjoyed pre dinner drinks by the fire in the lounge area. Room was spacious and clean and the balcony gave us views across the river and of the mountain ranges. Thoroughly pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend.

Great location in Central Hobart.

My wife and I just completed a 5 night stay. Very friendly staff who were most sincere and hardworking. Room was spotless and very quiet. Our included breakfast was delicious, again nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
Thank you for your hospitality, we were made to feel most welcome.

Cannot fault the service or the room, only grumble I have is the restaurant should be open for dinner.

Fantastic place. Very very clean. Breakfast amazing. Lounge very comfortable. Bar tender very knowledgable got us both onto some wonderful different drinks. All staff from all aspects in the hotel are totally awesome and friendly. We will be back.

Really enjoyed our time here. Staff were lovely, great food and very comfortable rooms. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back.

However, I would avoid the restaurant. We had dinner there last night. Sat down at 7pm. Our meal finally arrived at 9:30pm after we had said that we wished to cancel our meal because he had been waiting too long. Not the best service!

Wonderful stay. The room was beautiful and spotless. Your staff could not have been more friendly and the restaurant food was delicious with a 5 star service. We couldn’t have asked for more. Made our time in Hobart extra special.

Great location, great food and drinks. Rooms are reasonable. But they are renovating I believe so will be awesome soon. Bathrooms are currently great. Room size is fantastic.

Looking for a cbd stay? Look no further. Up to date amenities car parking and good value. Has restaurant and really cool bar and lounge area. Cinemas near by too.

Rooms are clean and plenty of room, meals are well priced and staff are friendly, Gym is well appointed and has plenty of cardio machines as well as weights machines, towels and cold water supplied in the gym as are showers and toilets which is a nice surprise. Definitely will be staying here again.

1bed self contained apartment was comfortable and convenient. Rooms would be next on the list for renovation to match the modern lobby and facilities.

Staying here on a mum daughter sojourn before she flies away to her new life in south France. As per ususql accommodation top notch and staff wonderful. Coming here first time to Racv Hobart it was nice as it’s such a central location I’ll be back with hubby in tow.

Lovely staff beautiful large room very clean bed very comfy the only thing I would say is the shower water pressure wasn't great and it would be good to have some snacks in the room.

Very good location in central Hobart. The building is a bit old but the furniture is new. Nice apartments with kitchen, living room, bed room and bath room. Bathtub and separate shower. Would definitely stay there again.

Just checked out, these guys were amazing to stay with, very accommodating with any requests and all the staff were very kind. All the rooms are beautiful, especially that sitting area! Thanks guys we will definitely come back to you :)

Pleased with my stay here. A late booking meant that my room had a distant view of Mt Wellington. And the constant sound of air cooling machinery. I was thankful that my neighbour did not indulge in the available adult movie channel because having adjoining internal doors (great for families) meant that I could hear almost everything in their room. My twin bed was not a king single like in my most recent hotel with another chain, so the comparison was noticeable. Great location. Clean. Lovely efficient reception and housekeeping staff. Mostly very stylish. Great price and free parking for auto club members. Will stay again.

Lovely hotel! Was modern and had big rooms with comfy beds :) The parking was expensive and I would say its worth going out to eat instead of paying the same price or more for hotel food. Overall though the staff was awesome and I would 100% stay here again and will book with them in the future. We also got free wine :0 YAY!

Beautiful rooms. Amazing staff. If you can, book the apartment king room with harbour views. It has a spa on the balcony and the room is stunning. We also stayed in the one bedroom king room which was fantastic as well. Very spacious rooms. Over the moon.

Great comfortable room. Just recently renovated so really new and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our air-conditioned on the last day and they moved us to the bigger room next door with no issues. Great service.

Our family holiday with adult children has found this hotel very convenient in it's location and the staff and service provided have been exceptional. We would highly reccommend this hotel. We are looking forward to eating at "Charcoal" this evening as we farewell Hobart tomorrow.

Good and reasonably well-priced hotel, close to Salamanca market, and other destinations are within 10 minutes of walking.

Room was excellent, recent renovations were completed with space and functionality!. Great buffet breakfast with local produce. Staff were friendly and helpful. So glad we booked another night on our way home!

Located in the city center near the Chinese Western Food restaurant bar, such as a full range of large supermarkets in the back Street room clean and spacious all applications have a full range of advanced equipment fitness room lobby design style one into the elevator to shoot Pau Baohan practical.

Room was clean & comfortable. I was surprised at the name of the hotel when I entered my room as there was nothing 'apartment' about my standard hotel room but when I read other reviews, I realised there are obviously different categories available. Beware travel professionals & make sure clients know what they have booked! No L'Occitane bathroom amenities, no espresso machine & no pillow menu (I travel so much I bring my own pillow! ) for me but you get what the company trave…l budget pays for, which in this case is perfectly satisfactory.
Nothing extraordinary here except two things I find vital to like-minded business travellers. 1. An excellent firm mattress & good quality starched linen. One of the best hotel/cruise ship beds I have experienced in a couple of years (& I sleep in a lot of 'Good, bad, & probably ugly' hotel/cruise ship beds throughout the year). That probably puts this in the top 5%. Or, top 1% if you exclude my amazing, wonderful & perfect mattress at home.
Well done, a good night's sleep is what it's all about & that was a 9.5/10. 2. $8 for a 150ml glass of St Hallett Shiraz. Not ridiculous. But delicious + very reasonable & probably helped to my excellent night's sleep (no really, it was the mattress! )

Great service for breakfast and lovely food. Very prompt to be seated. My waiter Tim was wonderful and very efficient. Made an awesome coffee.

Friendly, helpful staff and a very comfortable place to stay. Hotel rooms and apartments in the heart of Hobart CBD. Charcoal Restaurant puts on a good breakfast. Function rooms and a large seating area on the ground floor. Undercover off-street parking. Motoring club discount.

We enjoyed our stay. Good service from everyone. The car park can get a little hectic some days.

The room was very clean, very professional looking. The bed was sooo comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, not even a fingerprint or streak on the stainless steel or glass. The restaurant downstairs was very lovely. I had the Gnocci and it was delicious. 10/10 would stay here again.

The staff were all fantastic. The restaurant inside is top notch. Awesome food that is prepared spot on and again fantastic restaurant staff make a winning combination. Had a drink in the new bar attached to the hotel. Beautifully renovated old Cascade Brewery. Great service too.

I stayed in a premium one bedroom King room. The room was luxurious, quiet and inviting. The bath was enormous and the raindrop shower head was really cool. The L'occitane bath products were a nice touch as well. The bed was comfy, as was the pillow. There is a pillow menu if you dont like the ones in the room. Well stocked mini bar and also an espresso coffee pod machine. The views from the eighth floor were of the waterfront, and there was even a spa on the balcony.
The staff were all very friendly. The room service was quick and there was a good selection of current movies to watch in your room but at $16 they were a bit pricey.
I would definitely stay here again!

Close to Market, CBD and easy access to parking. Great room, easy with a 3yo on a trundle. I would highly recommend and we will stay here again.

THE place to stay in Hobart CBD. 24*7 reception (which few places have). Super friendly and efficient staff. Decent rooms. Good breakfast options. Meals. Bar. Has the critical mass to be good all round, and has the high standards to make it a very fine place to stay.

I found the room I was in was very comfortable and all facilities offered were of a high standard. I would be happy to recommend this establishment to any person visiting Hobart.

Great place to stay. Nice food. The waiter/bartender Thomas really knew his spirits and wines. Was also a great host keeping our wine glasses always full. A great asset. Will stay again.

A centrally located hotel with nice modern bathrooms and friendly staff. I really appreciated the shutters on the windows that assist with the cold nights. The room I had was nice and large and perfect for the price.

Great place to stay in Hobart. Gave 4 stars only because there is no pool or spa & fitness centre on-site. But they do offer a free pass to a gym located down the street. The apartment rooms have kitchen and laundry appliances which makes it easy to prepare meals and do washing as you want. Good location and breakfast was included.

Hard to give a great review as when we stayed there renovations were happening. However, the 'apartment' we stayed in had only a microwave to cook with, rest of room and location were good.

Stayed with overseas visitors late last year and had a fantastic couple of days. Room was really comfortable and amenities were first class. Would definitely recommend and would certainly stay there again.

Stayed in a deluxe Room which was about $450 a night and $15 to park in the carport they provide. Firstly the carpark is terrible and no room to park yet still have to pay for it, then check in area was very different and entrance was poor with false walls up due to construction (staff were friendly) but we were not told about any of this construction on the phone or site. Now we finally got to our room and walls are dirty, carpet is hard, TV has foxtel but no channels just normal TV which is very little and poor picture quality. Spa bath on the deck was terrible condition and was just a old corner spa out of a bathroom (was not a proper outdoor spa and the handrail was rusty with a terrible view after we were told the view was meant to look over the Harbour (instead we just had a building to look at). We do not recommend this to anyone and never be staying again.

Flew in late of an evening to find that I had to walk up some stairs and through a very bizzare checkin area, which is not the norm for most hotels. Found the lift and walked to the front door of what was supposed to be a shared room, i. E. 2 rooms and a small guest area. Turns out I was walking directly into a bedroom. Was very disappointed. However once I got past the sleeping guests I discovered a lounge area complete with kitchen equipped with washing machine, dryer and dish washer. No Balcony, just 2 bug windows looking towards the Cat and the Fiddle arcade. Our room had no air conditioning, so had to turn on the one in the lounge. So far it has exceeded my expectations.

We recently stayed at this hotel (Sept 2015) for 6 nights. Overal we had an amazing experience. Our flight arrived in the evenning and by the time we arrived at the hotel it was almost 8pm. The staff at reception were very helpful and the check-in process was very smooth. We were also informed that the restuarant would still be open for a meal if we like. The room was a lovely room with all of the modern ammenities, including nesspresso machine, mini bar, spa bath etc. We had a great view of the city centre (although not much to look at) as well as Mount Wellington around to small parts of the Harbour. The hotel is very centrally located having only needed to use the car for day trips to Port Author and Huon Valley (a great driving trip recommended by the restuarant manager). The restruant served breakfast daily which was either a well stocked buffet or made to order food (when the hotel wasnt fully booked). All of the staff, from reception to the food and beverage and cleaners were all very professional and friendly offering advice, and a friendly chat about things to do. The only negative thing that comes to mind, (which is very insignificant) is the street access to the carpark is a little bit dificult at first as it down a lane way off a side street, perhaps this could be provided to guests prior to their arrival, however as I said I believe this is a very insignificant aspect of our stay.

We spent 5 nights at the RACV Hobart. We were disappointed to find, on our arrival, that the building was undergoing renovations. We were not advised of this when we booked and feel this was a bad oversight by management. We were subjected to jack hammering during the day, sawing that started around 7am, the dining area being dark and dingy and the entrance being wet and narrowed in by timber safety fences. We were not impressed by firstly not being advised and secondly by the state of the building and noise. We were also kept awake in the early hours of the morning by patrons at a nightclub across the road. We think the building needs double glazing!
