Motels in TasmaniaMotel

I was looking for some last minute dog-friendly accommodation in the North-West. This was the cheapest option I could find but the booking website I found said it was sold out of dog-friendly rooms.

Wow, what a beautiful little motel. Only had one night there but it left a great impression and I would definitely return.

Location close to the city centre, grounds well kept & tidy. Swimming pool was clean additional towel were a bonus.
Welcoming friendly staff.

I have stayed here twice over the last two months for several days.
Both stays were quiet and relaxing, providing a comfortable and enjoyable time.

The facilities were excellent we had a family room the beds were configured perfectly, they were also super comfortable. Love the wide parking spaces right outside the room. In a great quiet location.

We love this motel. Very nice modern comfortable and clean rooms with amenities. David, the owner, is super nice and welcoming and also gave his guests Easter eggs on Easter Sunday morning.

Had the most amazing stay over the weekend. It was quiet and well maintained with everything you need. Gorgeous view of the river and some neat local things to do in Ross and Campbell Town.

Beautiful rural setting and township. Riverview motel has very well appointed accommodation with friendly staff and all the facilities you will need for your stay.

Had a great night's sleep here. Everything I needed after a long day of travel. Comfy bed, ok shower.

Lovely position on the river and plenty of things to do for those with children and adults.

What a great RV friendly camp. Beautiful sites, well maintained. Self contained only. Fantastic hotel/pub next door. Facilities can be used at a cost. Great reasonable prices at pub.

Absolutely fantastic place to camp! It’s conveniently located just off the road with only minimal traffic noise.

Had a great large sized suite with a kitchen and a full sized bathroom. Just down the road from the main shops, and directly across from a 45 min paved walking track.

Very handy being so close to all the amazing murals in Sheffield. Quiet spot.
The room is clean, shower is quite small and old fashioned. But not bad.

Managed to secure a 2 night booking here due to a last minute cancellation. Superb location, friendly and helpful receptionist and spotless.

Enjoyed our stay here, room serviced each day and clean. Very quiet area which I like compare to the cbd area. Everything we need in a room thank you.

Super clean, neat and spacious rooms. Central location. Perfect for overnight stay. Thanks.

What a gem of a place. We were running late and worried we wouldnt find accommodation for the night. Arrived and was met with a lovely lady.

We found this lovely, clean and very comfortable motel in St Helens.

Recently beautifully renovated motel, comfy bed, pristine condition bathroom, with a super helpful receptionist who showed us places to eat, sightsee, and thoroughly enjoy ourselves.

Utterly fantastic town. The proximity/isthmus, scenery, and architecture are all a credit to Tasmania. The Nut just adds to the value of this wonderful town.

We had a great time staying here. Good view easy access. Their restaurant had good food and their staff was excellent in customer service very approachable and will look after your needs.

Ok so the weather was not so great but hey you are on the West Coast so expectations must be kept quite low. Arrived at an amazing feel or relaxation but prestige at the same time.

From the moment you arrive at Risbys, it's clear this is so much more than just a hotel.

Great spot to rest riding the East coast.
Steve was very accommodating and friendly.
The room even had a sea view!

Fantastic! Our hosts Steve and Heather were so welcoming and fit us in even though they planned to be closed over the Christmas period. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable.

Tim was a superb host. He gave us so much help and information. Pointed us in the right direction every single time.

We stayed in Febraury 2026. An old hotel that been parially renovated, it is well located, with free off street parking. The rooms are spacious and clean.

Perfect winter getaway to recharge the soul! Stayed in the recently renovated premium ocean room. The uninterrupted view to the ocean was spectacular, even from bed (which was super comfy)!

Food was great, service was excellent. We were looked after really well by our bar person. Ithink her name was Kiara but she was a lovely polite person from Canada.

Exceptional accomodation, our room was very well equipped, very comfortable & cosy, with all elements of a tranquil environment. Extremely welcoming. The gardens were stunning. We loved out stay here.

We had a truly lovely stay at Annabelle’s in Scottsdale. The gardens are absolutely outstanding—so beautifully maintained and a real highlight of the property.

Stayed here for a night before flying from the airport.

Brilliant location with views of the ocean. Nicely tucked away on the river and foreshore walk board. Pets are allowed🥰❤️
The room was warm and TV on when we arrived late.

First thing I’d like to start with saying how friendly the staff were and very knowledgeable about what was on offer and what they would recommend.

I stayed here last night in room 43. I had an excellent stay, enjoyed the town and the accommodation. I arrived early and was able to check in, which was much appreciated.

I attended a charity fundraiser here last week. 150 or more booked in for lunch and the food came out so quick. I ordered the pizza and it was amazing.

I attended a huge fund-raiser here in the weekend… Wow! The owners were wonderful, the staff were friendly, the food was awesome. Such a perfect location for the event, loads of room, gorgeous views.

We stayed 4 nights at Mayfair Plaza. Quirky and unique motel which is in a converted shopping plaza. The rooms were large. The ground floor rooms have a window that faces into the covered courtyard.

This motel is inside the Plaza. It is very quiet at night, easy for us to rest, and the surrounding facilities are quite complete.

My partner and I stayed here on Monday for two nights. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. Laundry a big bonus. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely three night stay in March. The location was perfect and the staff most helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Motel Strahan to anyone travelling through this part of Tassie.

Nice little seaside retreat, the room had everything you needed. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The room itself was spotlessly clean.

We loved our two day stay here. We arrived with my husband being unwell and Belle went out of her way to make us comfortable.

Lovely place! They are renovating and improving and it looks wonderful. New hangout area and fire pit!
Only one feedback.

Vary nice and well equipped place, walking distance to the historic site!
The Wi-Fi is not working gods in the rooms just in the reception area.

We've dined here from time to time over the years, starting when on honeymoon in 1972. Seldom been disoppointed and this Saturday evening was no exception.

We came here just to have dinner during our Port Arthur stay. All the staff were very lovely, the dining and bar area is a bit outdated but clean, warm and welcoming.

It was a mass exodus from the Spirit after the day voyage to get to Devonport, then to this motel.

Great value motel, close to the Spirit ferry.
Lovely big room with full-sized couch, large bed (king? ), table and chairs, modern kitchenette, and large modern ensuite that included full-sized bath.
