A lovely hostel, I made a reservation before and after my booked tour with Under Down Under in Tasmania and also spent several nights there during the tour.

Great hostel! Modern, in a great location, and always kept really clean.

Very friendly owner who helped me to secure much needed propane gas from the free box before a trip to the Western Arthurs.

Stayed at Narrara Backpackers during a proper Hobart storm and honestly felt safer there than I do in my own home. The absolute highlight was Mo — the nicest human being I’ve ever encountered.

I would love to give 5 star to everything in Pickled Frog! The sheets and environment are extremely clean. The public area are nice and cozy.

My 3 day stay turned into 3 weeks when my adventure plans changed mid trip. I love having a private room but having the hostel vibe to meet people and have activities.

Very friendly host, and a satisfactory sleeping pod. It was a bit dirty with crumbs and a dried orange peel in the pod itself but the bed and linens appeared to be very clean.

Chris was a good host (his boss should give a pay raise).
All the backpackers were super friendly and make you feel welcome.
Good location aswell.

It's a good place to crash if you are on a budget. The rooms are not great, but you meet some interesting people in the dining, lounge and rec areas.

Stayed here for two nights, room was tidy, comfortable nights sleep, wash areas cleaned daily and had no issues. Lawrence on reception was very helpful and informative.

Quaint and friendly hostel located perfect 5 minutes from everything you need — City, walking tracks along the river, museums, bars, City park monkeys!

The hostel was just like any other hostel I’d stayed at — if anything it felt more comfortable than some I’d experienced along the east coast.
