Stayed in a superior, 2 bedroom chalet that slept 6 people — 4 children in bunk beds in a room, and queen bed in another room.

Stayed in an unpowered site. Very roomy and secluded (but we got one of the better ones). Site had plenty of room for a small van, a swag and a car, with room to spare. Included a picnic bench.

Very friendly owner who helped me to secure much needed propane gas from the free box before a trip to the Western Arthurs.

Stayed at Narrara Backpackers during a proper Hobart storm and honestly felt safer there than I do in my own home. The absolute highlight was Mo — the nicest human being I’ve ever encountered.

I had a good experience at Deloraine Hotel.
The room was clean and comfortable, providing everything I needed for a pleasant stay.
The food was really lovely, with a nice selection of options.

Dropped in for a counter lunch & the staff were very friendly & made you feel welcome. A few locals frequenting the bar, with mainly tourists in the dining area.

River's Run in is such a beautiful part of Southern Tasmania. It's only about 1.2 hours drive from Hobart.

Montacute is Montagreat! Its location is right in the heart of Battery Point and quite peaceful. The space is well maintained and the host Antony is quick-tongued and very accommodating.

Quiet retreat in the bush. We went to a wedding there and it was a great setting with good facilities. We camped in our tent.

Clean bathrooms and kitchen. Steve always goes above and beyond to help you out. Best campsite in Tasmania.

I have eaten at the lodge for YEARS… new menu, new chef, new management and OMG can you taste the difference.
The LAMB CUTLETS were juicy, the roast veggies were cooked to perfection.

Friendly staff, great meals and perfect location to explore the west coast.

If you are claustrophobic, this is not the place for you. We booked this in our tassie trip for experience. Good to experience. The pods were quiet, people were respectful.

We stayed in a two bedroom cabin for 4 nights, they were good enough to give us another cabin as there was some issues with the original cabin. They need a new lounge, it was not comfortable at all.

We stayed on a powered site for two days and were really impressed. The park is very clean, the amenities are well maintained, and the staff were extremely helpful.

We just spent three nights at the NRMA Port Arthur Holiday park. We are driving around Tassie for three weeks in a small motorhome. We used a powered en suite site here and it was excellent.

Plenty of wildlife and so close to the Historic Site.

I would love to give 5 star to everything in Pickled Frog! The sheets and environment are extremely clean. The public area are nice and cozy.

My 3 day stay turned into 3 weeks when my adventure plans changed mid trip. I love having a private room but having the hostel vibe to meet people and have activities.

Absolutely amazing service. We had to cancel our booking for personal reasons on the day of checking in due to technical issues, but they were very gracious and cancelled our booking for free.

Brilliant campsite, good size pitches, immaculate private bathrooms, only a short walk into the town. Very welcoming & gave maps on where best to see platypus. What a lovely stay thank you.

A nice grassy path was a bit spoilt by local pet owners and local wildlife using it as a toilet. I had to clear my site before I pitched my tent. Only 2 toilets amenities old, camp kitchen good.

Very friendly host, and a satisfactory sleeping pod. It was a bit dirty with crumbs and a dried orange peel in the pod itself but the bed and linens appeared to be very clean.

Chris was a good host (his boss should give a pay raise).

It's a good place to crash if you are on a budget. The rooms are not great, but you meet some interesting people in the dining, lounge and rec areas.

Stayed here for two nights, room was tidy, comfortable nights sleep, wash areas cleaned daily and had no issues. Lawrence on reception was very helpful and informative.

Strahan Backpackers is a hidden gem. Tucked away in a quiet, wooded corner of town, along a trickling stream with a resident platypus, it is a peaceful place to spend a few days.

The staff there are so friendly. Jeff was always there if we need help. He also told us the spot to view platypus.
Also, it is the cleanest the backpackers’ stay I’ve ever been.
