Ottawa Hotels near Bytown Museum

Our recent stay (Girls' Getaway) at reStays was nothing short of exceptional!

Our group has now stayed at reStays Ottawa for two consecutive years, and once again, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.

We needed to be out of the house for a day while some renovations were taking place in our house.

I had such a wonderful stay at Le Germain, I really recommend it to anyone who wants to have classy and restful stay.

Staying here was a really lovely experience. The room surprised us in the best ways, with amenities and considerations which were unexpected yet so welcome.

We stayed there last weekend. What a fabulous find! Great rooms… small but has sink… mini fridge. Most comfy bed! Has a court yard with individual gas bar-b q for the spring and summer!

If you want a nice apartment in a great central location, this is a great choice. Great value. The bedroom and kitchen/diner were good. Study a nice bonus. Bathroom very small. Kitchen well equipped.

This was recommended to us by family who stayed there previously and it was everything my wife and I had wanted in a hotel stay when on vacation.

My wife and I came to Ottawa to skate on the Rideau Canal. The conditions were perfect. It was a bit cold but the ice was incredible.

I had the most wonderful stay here! The accommodations are very comfortable and every team member was welcoming, but a special shoutout to Bich!

I haven’t had the chance to stay here yet, which is why I didn’t rate the rooms.

I stayed at this hotel for work in Novemeber of 2025. Rooms were nice, clean and large. Each evening my room was reset. Breakfast was excellent.

My husband and I love staying here. This time was made extra special by Angela, who checked us in and made us feel extra special. The room's view was exceptional and oh so quiet.

It was a real jail, so don't expect comfort and fancy stuffs. The location it's very convient, everything is walking distance.
The staff have a lot of good recommendations for food and for visit.

Amazing customer service. I stayed here for two weeks for work and honestly every single staff member made the experience great. Not just the front desk or housekeeping, but everyone.

This was an excellent stay and I really don’t have any major complaints, just annoyances. The hotel itself was very clean and easy to access etc.

Haven’t stayed here yet, but passed by during my Winterlude walk and was immediately drawn to the location.

I’ve stayed at many hotels in Ottawa — and this is the one I always come back to. It’s centrally located — one minute walk away from the Rideau Centre and 5 minute walk to the Byward Market.

Very clean and comfortable stay — this was our 2nd time staying here and we refuse to stay anywhere else in Ottawa moving forward.

This little hotel is a real find. The owner provided a single business woman with all the service and personalize attention that I could have hoped for.

My partner and I stayed at Holiday Inn Ottawa Downtow last week, and had a really comfortable experience.
The room was cozy, neat, and clean, with all the essential amenities provided.

My husband and I had a very cozy weekend here to celebrate our anniversary. The Christmas decorations were beautiful. The breakfast croissants and homemade preserves were 10/10.

First time staying at the Chateau. Reserved a king room in the 'gold' section (4th floor). Nice room. Small-ish bathroom, but nice just the same. Comfortable bed. Big tv. Rooms are quiet.

The restaurant was quite overpriced. I liked the room, but honestly I dont think it is worth ~400 CAD without breakfast (May, 2026) per night.

This hotel is extremely well located. When we checked in the staff was very friendly and help us solve a minor booking issue.

No complaints, staff was great, food was awesome. Valley service was great and nice guys.
No extra charge for our dog and the best cot ive ever seem for our friend for only 20$ extra.

Very nice room. Great daily housekeeping. Only complaint I have is our room was by the service elevator. It was very noisy early in the morning as the staff was preparing their cleaning carts.

Great location. Easy walking distance to Parliament Hill and not too far from the Byward Market area.
The room (Premier King) was quite small but adequate and quiet.

A great location for exploring Ottawa downtown. Reception staff were efficient and friendly and there is a nice little bar and restaurant.

We stayed here this past weekend for a hockey tournament and we had a fantastic stay.

Overall 4.5 star. Bring your pillows they are not that comfy and the beds you can feel the spring's. I also found some hair in the shower on the first night.

Stayed here for three nights over Christmas as a staycation. Hotel is in a great location, rooms were great and spacious, and staff were wonderful.

This looks like a nice hotel and room but if you look closely, you can tell it's old and they haven't paid close attention to detail making it look updated.

The house is wonderful, the staff surprised me. I have never been in such a place before. The interior is incredible, it was like walking through a museum.

Was very easy to check in and out. Location is great. It was a bit loud while trying to sleep, hearing people talking and walking around. Bed in the private room I stayed in was clean and comfortable.

I stayed at The Metcalfe for three weeks because of an unexpected issue in my home, and I honestly don’t think I could have gotten through that time without the amazing people at this hotel.

The metcalfe is one of the best hotels in ottawa. The service is impeccable. We booked the junior suite. The living room was spacious and nicely decorated.

This hotel is in an excellent location, and provides excellent value for the money.
