The staff at this hotel were absolutely wonderful. My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night and returned for our anniversary this year. The staff were so sweet to us. The hotel is very clean. The new restaurant downstairs is also very nice. Good food and drinks. The manager of the restaurant had the chef make us a heart shaped pizza, which was a sweet surprise. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Although the bathroom is as small as it gets the room is comfortable and clean. The dining is very good in the hotel and a Tim Horton coffee shop is attached to the lobby. Parking is ample and safe underground and easy to access.

Always provide excellent services.

Great hotel. Parking however is a little hard to get to because of the O Train construction.

The hotel staff are very un helpful. Most hotels have a list of restaurants they recommend, or even will tell you where they recommend if you ask. This hotel doesn’t do either. The concierge said “go to bank street and walk around, you’ll find a place”. In addition to this, the artwork in the room & bathroom are very violent. Overall, it’s just a below basic hotel, and doesn’t exactly deserve to be apart of the Marriott system. Would give this a 1/5 stars.

Very nice ambiance of this hotel, kids friendly and really great location. A plus … Tim Hortons is also in its vicinity.

The staff were awesome and very helpful anytime of the day or night. Tim Hortons right inside which was a bonus for me.

The staff at this hotel are marvellous! We were warmly welcomed on arrival by the concierge and presented with bottles of chilled water. The receptionist advised us where to eat in the evening, and also gave great advice where and when to queue for tickets for Parliament Hill. The break buffet was excellent with a wide choice of hot and cold dishes, and the waiting staff were very helpful. And the hotel is great, go to the top floor for great views over the Ottawa River!

Beautiful hotel located conveniently downtown. The customer service of all staff is top notch. For instance, just standing in line I observed staff going the extra mile to provide their clients help, support, or to answer their questions. They always warmly greet every single person that walks in the hotel. It's the little things but it is clear that this Delta values providing a great guest experience. I was also very lucky to have Virginia as the attendant that helped me with my check-in.

Modern and close to all the attractions. The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the area. This goes for the concierge to the cleaning staff. The rooms are small but comfortable and has all the usual amenities except there was no safe. Also the pool was going through some kind of major renovation so that bummed out the kids. There's also renovations happening at the hotel parking entrance, so that was hard to find when we first got there and easy to go in the wrong way.

Spacious, clean rooms. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in Ottawa. The hotel staff are friendly and well point you in the right direction for any interesting attractions. Plus the lobby area is always stocked with refreshments!

Excellent stay, the room was thoughtful, well designed and maintained. Loved the walk in shower and the desk. I had impeccable service from their IT service — brilliant! Great stay! The only thing I missed was the pool, which they are renovating and will not be open until the fall.

+ Extremely friendly front desk, modern restaurant and lobby. Rooms are pleasant and clean, with great working area and practical desk with connectivity typical of Delta chain. Decent lounge for status members. Gym is mediocre, functional. As of early 2018 pool us under reconstruction. Location is convenient in the sense that it's central and on Sparks, but you are not as close to amenities like you would be at courtyard@byward.

Probably my favourite hotel when I stay in Ottawa for business or pleasure purposes! The rooms are always clean and well-appointed. The service provided by the staff is excellent: they are attentive, kind, and knowledgeable.

Great front desk customer service form the time I checked in. Annie was great, helpful and friendly. Parking was not great, had to pay quite a bit. It would be great if parking was included or even get a discounted rate.

The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. The good provided n meetings was delicious and there was plenty served. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. A very nice stay.

We were two families and our choice stopped on the Delta. We love the chain and loved our stay. Our rooms were really good and the staff was very nice to us. We had a problem with the air conditioning and we were quickly moved to room. We recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

Very clean hotel with AMAZINGLY friendly and helpful staff. 20 minute walk from the market downtown. 24 hour tims in the hotel is great after a night out. Small bathroom but well kept rooms. Would stay here again.

Stayed at this beautiful hotel last month. The room is very chic, has double beds and a sitting area with sofa and seat, perfect for relaxing, the bathroom is spacious with glass and granite. Room has coffee and tea. Very spacious room. Overall, was very happy with the room size and decor. Felt like home. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The gym, a bit small but fully stocked, pool was closed off so didn’t get chance to check it out. Definitely worth the money.

Stayed for 3 nights, check-in was great (thank you Virginia! ), room was clean & good enough for stay (no hair dryer, glad I brought my own). View from my side was good (see pic) close by to Parliament. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Stayed here for 5 weeks straight minus weekends. Hit or miss with the rooms (cleanliness, size and condition). Old loud air conditioner kept me up at night in two rooms. One room had no water pressure so I had to literally cup water to be able to bathe. No fridge or safe provided. On the plus side, staff is decent! Gym is better than average.

They charge 22$ instead of 18$ for parking so pay the parking and not for the pass. They charged my co-workers credit card the night before we left instead of letting us pay in the morning as we had requested. I don't stay at hotels often and I am going to assume this is normal but I specifically was paying cash. The bathrooms are ridiculously small to the point you straddle the toilet to close the door. The sink is also super small. Water gets everywhere. The bed was comfy and the temperature was comfortable. Won't go there again as another hotel close by has suits for LESS with full apartment size rooms.

We had amazing service from start to finish. The rooms are clean and the food is great. We didn't know the pool was closed, so the concierge arranged for us to use a pool close by. Our three year old was in heaven, from the toys they gave him, the view from the big windows and the friendly service. The hotel is nice, but the staff make the difference.

Very nice hotel in downtown Ottawa. Our family stayed in several rooms over a weekend. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms well updated. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They went the extra mile for us when they found out the reason for our visit. The bar and restaurant staff on the mezzanine level were also great. The breakfast choices were tasty and the bar list features some local drinks.

Rooms are quiet and clean. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms are a bit small but are good enough. Staff are friendly and helpful, the restaurant in the hotel is good. Prices are about what you would expect. Location is decent, there are a couple good restaurants nearby. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Great location close to the downtown Supreme Court. Rooms were cozy albeit a little space constrained. Great views from the higher floor. Close to a bunch of downtown restaurants. The breakfast spread was lacking however the reason was the start of holidays so I'll give that a pass. Overall good location and decent rooms.

I would like to publicly thank Alexander Thompson, a hotel employee of yours, for his help last evening. I had a family emergency and had to leave the hotel at 11pm. I needed transportation and he took such great care of me, with empathy and compassion. His kindness deserves to be recognized and I will be submitting his name to receive the Stars of the City recognition. Thank you Simon for noticing that I was distraught and needed some help. Been here a few times. This is my Grandmother's go to hotel when she is in Ottawa. Also had a work function here for Christmas a few years back. The rooms are nothing special but the staff are very friendly. Very clean hotel overall and perfectly located on the north side of Center Town making it a perfect area to call home while you visit Ottawa. You can walk to all parts of Ottawa downtown core form here in no more than 30 mimutes in any direction.

Nice clean room. Came to hotel in blackout, staff were helpful with getting us settled. They forgot to mention that pool was out of service. They charge you a huge deposit for the room (very fine print) we made the best of it but probably won’t come back.

Nice establishment in a place close to everything in the city center. Beautiful large comfortable rooms, excellent place for events such as professional meetings or marriages.

I visited the hotel to check in on behalf of a pair of newlyweds who would be arriving much later in the evening, following their reception. The main lobby and reception area are very clean and inviting, having been recently renovated. The suite itself was very nice, with high quality furniture and (basically) floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom and adjoining living room. I found the audiovisual set-up very professional, with cables to mirror your computer's screen, etc. I was a bit surprised however that there was no bath tub. It would have been a very nice gesture to have had in the room fresh flowers or champagne or at a minimum, congratulatory chocolates for the newlyweds, considering the number of rooms that they booked for their wedding guests. But I suppose this could have been offered to them upon their arrival. Overall a nice establishment.

Lovely hotel with great rooms. We upgraded for a small cost which also gave us access to the vip lounge where food and drinks are available also breakfast. Bed was really comfy and hotel is spotless. Staff on reception were really friendly and helpful.

I'm not going to beat around the bush. This place is very nice for the price. There is a pool and sauna. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. The elevator was fast. There are restaurants in the area and we could easily walk around the downtown core. We had lots of fun exploring the city and taking in the sites. This was a good home base for our trip.

I attended a professional conference here today and was very impressed with the conference rooms and all the staff involved in making the day run smoothly. Staff were always on hand to provide assistance and information. Refreshments provided were plentiful but very few options for the vegan guest. The gala dinner provided was incredible, with the offering of a vegan menu option for the main course. Staff seemed a bit confused about what a vegan diet was, attempting to offer me soup drizzled with cream and salad covered with goat cheese. Food aside, this was an excellent venue for the conference and gala attended. Plenty of underground parking and within walking distance of Parliament Hill, Sparks Street and the Byward Market.

The Delta Hotel is my favorite place to stay in Ottawa. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are all well kept and always clean. I stay here often for work and have never had any issues with this hotel.

Such a lovely place that we held our wedding reception here, too. The food is always great, and the service is even better. Seriously consider holding your corporate or social event here.

The room was clean and spacious. However, the overnight receptionist was very unskilled. First, He couldn't figure out that I have two rooms booked. Second, he didn't know the type of my rooms. Third, I booked the room with breakfast included. Normally, receptionist would friendly remind us the time for it. However, he didn't mentioned anything until we specifically asked about the breakfast. And he told us a time which is different than the one printed on the elevator. Lastly, he told me that I can only pay for parking at the garage which I found later was a complete lie.

Good for a very short stay where you don't actually have to spend a lot of time in your hotel room. The gorgeous lobby and bar belie the state of the rooms that await above. Beware, only the first three floors have been renovated. Brace yourself for Soviet era austerity and drab decor on the floors above. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

I was there for a 1 1/2 day conference. The service was excellent, right from the check-in (Hiram was very professional and efficient, with just enough warmth and friendliness) … over to the servers in the breakfast/lunch/snack areas (they were all very attentive to my severe allergy — thank you, I felt that everyone showed proper concern) … and also the server I had for my table at dinner (who was very attentive — from pouring wine, to offering more bread, to ensuring that my dinner was nut free). The bar staff was very friendly and attentive. I found my room to be very clean. The lobby was very bright and inviting — I LOVE the deodorizer that is used in the lobby. The only thing that I could suggest is that there needs to be bathroom facilities closer to the conference facilities. I would definitely recommend Delta in Ottawa.

Great hotel with great staff (including housekeeping! ) located close to the attractions (10 min walk to the Hill). The rooms are recently renovated in 2012 and have a lot of wood accents. I really love the smart desk with all the connections you can dream of to plug in a laptop to the big screen. Only minus was the non functional ice machine on 9th floor and slow elevators. Parking is available downstairs in a shared underground lot (confusing to navigate! ) with max price of $18/day.

I stayed here over the Canada day long weekend. The location was excellent as it was an easy 10 minute walk to the Parliament building for all the Canada day events. The rooms were also clean with a fantastic view, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was also pretty good. It wasn't anything special, but it was buffet style and was enough to last me till dinner. I would definitely visit again!

The rooms are very nice. Wi-Fi is good speed but unsecured so if you are about your security then you won't like that. They have a good selection of channels. Nice desk to do some work. No fridge or safe included by default but you can request if you need them. If I needed to come to the area again I'd stay again.

I had a wonderful time at the Ottawa Delta. It's in a perfect location for seeing the sites as it's a hop skip and a jump away from parliament, both museums, and of course it's right downtown. The staff there was amazing, and they helped me with anything I needed, making me feel extremely welcome in a new city. Special commendations to Lara (redhead with glasses) who was extremely patient with me and my million questions.

Nice central hotel. Suite was nice, comfortable beds and nice via of Parliament. Staff were exceptional: very friendly and helpful!

We checked in and saw that the room wasn't properly cleaned; dust on coffee machine, kettle and telephone. The service was not so good; when I informed guest services that the ice machine on my floor (4th) was broken so I couldn't get ice, they just told me to go to 6th floor where there was another machine.

Great clean rooms and friendly service. The restraunt was very good too. Bonus points for having a Tim Hortons in the lobby.

Overall it was an okay stay but we won't be staying there again. Location is really nice but the building is aging and it shows it. We had a super tiny end room next to the stairs and there were kids running up and down the hall and in and out of the stairs all night as well as staff having loud conversations right outside our door that could be heard clearly. The bathroom door opens very awkwardly into the bathroom creating almost no room to enter and exit. The air conditioning was not working and was quite warm inside the room despite cooler outside temps. When I asked a staff member about it he said that they knew about issues but offered no fix.

Went for a convention. The building looks high end. There's a Tim Horton access inside for coffee lovers. The convention room is decent and the chairs are comfortable enough to be sitting for a long period of time. It got little cold at times tho. Nearby paid parkings.

Meets the standard, room was a bit worn (closet door broken and scratched furniture). Staff were great and always went above and beyond. Elevators could be slow so used the stairs and even the service elevator once (staff coordinated).

I met some family at yge hotel restautant for breakfast. The buffet was just OK. Service was quick enough, but food was mediocre and overpriced (It is a hotel, so maybe that can be overlooked). Coffee was great though!

Hotel is close to a couple little restaurant and places to eat. Parliament isn't too far, depending on how cold it is you can wall there Comfortably. The hotel itself is nicer from the inside. Places to grab a drink and hangout around the lobby. The room itself is nice, everything that's expected of a hotel, clean and smells nice. Beds are really. Comfy, nice polite employees. Good service. Overall nice experience.

I stayed here for 1 night on December 19, 2015. The room was clean and nice. The view was good. The washrooms were clean. The staff was very warm. They had valet parking for 5$ which is a good option and you can just call them to get your car multiple times. The best part was there was Tim hortons right inside the hotel so you need not rush out in cold to get your morning tea/coffee. Another thing that I really liked was that they have a delivery menu with menus of all nearby restaurants and you can order get it delivered to your room which was very convenient. The only bad point is it is not in core downtown near the byward market. I did not know that otherwise I would have booked a hotel at byward market like Courtyard marriot which was right at the centre of the byward market. Overall experience was good.

Our check in started off a little rocky. But the Delta staff went absolutely above and beyond to make it up to us. When we got there, the room we booked was still being cleaned as they had to shampoo the carpets. They gave us another room so we could wait for our room to be ready, and when we arrived that carpet had been shampooed as well and was too wet to stay in. So we called and they gave us another room on another floor. It was a little disheartening as I had booked the room months in advance for my 30th Birthday. They made up for it in spades. The staff all signed a card, and sent up some goodies for the room that we absolutely loved. They catered to our every whim, and were so polite and friendly that the whole night just turned around. I ended up having an amazing night thanks to what the staff did for myself and my friends. I would stay there and recommend this hotel to absolutely anyone. If you're looking for amazing customer service you needn't look any further than the Delta Ottawa. I'd give it a ten if I could. Thanks Delta Staff!

All meals of reception, that is really indigestible! No one has our table couldn't find the flavor of the soup (not even our server…) the soup was gross. There is no glass of water on our table, we have to ask you. There was no bread either, we asked and the waitress told us uneasy that there wasn't more… She came back a few minutes later with a basket in which there were 4 bread… we were 10 at the table… Quickly, we we brought our meals main beef, a few potatoes, a carrot (not cooked! ) and 2 pieces of beet. The 1st bite, I realized why the meal happened too fast, it was cold. The gravy was not seasoned. Paid so much to eat that… This is the real flight!

I've never left the Delta feeling like they didn't care about my experience. I'm always addressed respectfully and treated like a valued guest.

We were checking out wedding venues to host our reception at. The Panorama/Pinnacle rooms at the delta seemed like wonderful options. We coordinated to meet, and met up with the representative and were treated wonderfully as we were shown the amazing space. We figured out what we wanted and were told to email more specifically what menu items we would like. Thats about as good as it got. We left the hotel extremely excited and were even considering not checking out other spaces. The next morning (Tuesday) we sent our desires to the rep and received no response. Not that we expected any set quote immedietly, but we did not even receive a confirmation of receipt of our email, a simple "Thanks ill let you know" would have been perfect. A week later, after sending another email that received no response, I called and left a rather stern message stating that we have not heard ANYTHING and are considering other options if we cant get so much as a price. Immedietly, we received an email essentially stating "I am meeting with the chef today! I will get you a quote by the end of the day! " (This was on monday). Again, nothing. Finally on thurday (a little far from end of day monday…) we get a quote. With a kind line in the email saying, "In regards to the venue space, I no longer have them available on _______. " SO to sum things up. Absolutly no follow-up except when chased, and then this guy BOOKS THE ROOM WE WERE WAITING TO HEAR ABOUT!?!

Very nice place to stay. Rooms are very clean and provide a cables to plug (almost) anything you want to spend a good evening. There is a stunning view over Albert and Lyon Streets at the Penthouse level.

I booked a room for 2 nights for the Peace Officer Memorial, I will not stay here again. First off the staff were super friendly and very helpful, and the 24 hour Tim Hortons was great. That is the end of the positives. The room I had was not great, there was no fridge in the room, nor was there a dresser? What hotel rooms do not have dresser? There was one large drawer thing in the corner of the room? The closet was small, and 1/2 of it was taken up by a built in shoe type rack, so hanging my uniforms took up all the usable space. The rest of our clothes had to be left in out suit cases. The internet Wifi was hit and miss all weekend. The room itself had paint cracks For the price we paid to be close to Parliament, this hotel failed.

Went online and read over reviews good and bad and all said the same thing. " The staff is great and will go over and beyond for you, so true! From the moment we met Adam at our car door ready to point us in the right direction and offer a hand with unloading the car and making sure the kids were welcomed and got a gift package. The family suite was a nice surprise since we thought we were getting a standard room, the space was welcomed. Worth saying with Adam and Delta Downtown again and we look forward to our next trip back. We wish every well at the hotel and a great finish to summer.

I booked a suite Room and it cost me almost $500 a night. But when I checked in, found room is dirty and you will smell dust from the Air condition. I had allergy after saying there. I informed the front desk about the issues … she ignored me. Her name was Jose. Staffs and bell boy were very rude. Please rethink before you book this pathetic hotel. I will never stay at any Delta Hotel.

Great hotel, great employees. Stayed as part of a group and staff, particularly in the lobby were falling over themselves to provide assistance with boxes etc.

My husband and I had a great experience at the Delta Ottawa City Center Hotel, thanks to the nice young Front Desk Manager, Chris and his Front office team. Everything was great, from check-in, parking the car, being upgraded fro free to a king room which was beautiful. As we were checking in we just casually mentioned we were celebrating our 20 year wedding anniversary. Chris was wonderful, gave us some great suggestions about where to go, what to see, great restaurant tips. After dinner we had a nice surprise when we got back to our room Chris sent us a bottle of champagne and straberries to help us celebrate our Anniversary. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated. We enjoyed our stay at The Delta and would highly recommend it. The location is good too, everything within walking distance. Sincere, C. D. Staff were great. Rooms we found to be average at best. Stayed here on air miles, wouldn't if I was paying out of pocket. If you are bringing a car it costs either $18-$22 per day to park there.

I stayed two nights at the Ottawa City Center, booked through hot wire. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They had staff watching the elevator ensuring only hotel guests were entering the hotel which made me feel much safer being in the downtown core. Anytime I needed a cab a staff member was happy to help arrange one for me and even saw to it that the cab arrived and walked myself and my friend to the vehicle and helped us in. The rooms were clean, bright, and modern and very comfortable. I had a minor issue with payment of parking as I had accidentally paid twice (once through the hotel and once through the parking garage) I contacted the hotel to ask them about the multiple charges on my credit card and they dealt with my issue right away and kindly refunded me the full amount they had charged. I would definitely stay here again.

Average even though we had the most expensive suite in the hotel, rooms have 2 Internet connection one really fast but only available through wired ethernet cable and there is the wireless which is average, 40 inch LCD TV with a good cable TV line-up. No fridge in room. Just wasn't impressed in comparison to equally priced hotels but no negative comments :).

I stayed there quite a few years ago I stay classy years ago race 2 one bedroom suite one bedroom suite the fridge I stuck 018 frozen all right all the rage what is it called to say to me for that refund my money.
