Pet friendly, good services! However there is a 50$ charge for your pet and there is a parking fee of 25$. Great locations and not far from the parliament hill.

Had a great 2 night stay at this hotel. Other than the AC being too close to the head of the bed… there is nothing wrong I can possibly say about this hotel. Chic, modern, comfortable, clean, friendly staff, location, good price.

A friend recommended this hotel to us for its excellent location, Elgin St and the Parliament buildings just a short walk away. Very friendly attentive staff, nothing was to much trouble. A little disappointed with the location of the room, at the back of the building overlooking the waste bin area, but the room itself was very comfortable and quiet. Really loved the majestic sized bed.

If you want food, I cannot recommend this place. Very poor room service. Your meal will either be late or forgotten as was the case in both meals that I ordered, unfortunately.

Nice, quiet d/t area, close to all central points, clean & cozy room with everything you’d need, restaurant is highly recommended, can’t wait to taste the oysters!

Room was clean for most part, bathroom could have been cleaner upon check-in. A cleaner accidentally walked in when I was changing which was weird because it was 4PM and I had just checked-in so the room was already clean. Location is very central and walkable distance to everything. I had no natural light at all because my room faced a corporate building and had no option for regular curtains/blinds — only blackout.

Room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the linens crisp. My big disappointment was I couldn't take a bath due to the drain stopper being broke. I suppose I could have called the front desk but we got in late and who wants the hassle at 11pm after driving 6 hours. All in all passable but missing the attention to details.

Stayed for two nights. Location is great, unless you don't like parking in downtown (it's only busy during rush hour). It's 5 min walk away from Parliament and many places. $32/night valet parking but no need to pay parking in downtown. Byward market is probably about 20 min walk. Customer service is excellent. We had a king size bedroom. It was ok. They had a fridge which was nice.

Such an amazing location, so close to everything. Very friendly staff as well. We had 3 people in a double room and it was a perfect fit for us. It was a great stay overall!

Stayed there the night of my birthday, and the staff surprised me and my 3 friends with a bottle of sparkling white wine and strawberries and chocolates, and let’s not forget the complimentary sparkling wine we got upon our arrival! The staff is incredible and very friendly; room was clean and beds were comfy! They make sure you are treated with the best service and a smile.

Service is better than great. Very clean rooms, bathroom. Bedding was clean and fresh. The concierge was friendly and very helpful. Would recommend a stay here.

Great hotel. Fresh fruit and bottled water available to guests, a very appreciated gesture for me as I never eat enough fruit or veg or hydrate adequately when I'm travelling. Valet parking available throughout at a set rate with a "come and go" option. Restaurant has delicious buffalo style cauliflower.

My experience here wasn't great. The room was small — as mentioned by many reviews here. The sound from the adjoining room traveled into mine, making me feel like I was sharing my room. Additionally, there is two-tiers of internet. This isn't 2008; have a decent internet connection included in the hotel room, even if the room prices have to increase $5 each. Overall, I'd recommend other places downtown before recommending Arc.

Great hotel. Kind and informative staff. We stayed in the intimate queen room, it was beautiful but small.

Although the room was a bit small, it was clean, well laid out, and looked quite new. The staff was excellent and the room service was quick and delicious. Would definitely stay again!

Restaurant throws out your food instead of offering to put it in take away containers, the mini fridge is warm, you ask for more soap, shampoo & conditioner for a family of four & they give you shampoo only, no extra soap, very small rooms. Only gave 2 stars because it's downtown. Will only stay at the Westin from now on. Way better than the arc.

Was there on a business trip. The space is clean but a little basic compared to Le Germain on the same street. The staff was professional and courteous. The hotel is surrounded by pharmacies and small restaurants which is great. Watch out for a few impracticals like having a staircase instead of flat ground or a ramp in front of the hotel (awkward pulling luggage up).

Hotel and conference rooms are clean. Nice in-house restaurant with good food but a bit pricey in my opinion ($20 for a hamburger with fries for lunch. Not too bad). Friendly service. Enjoyed my time.

Clean and friendly but pretends to be fancy as the price doesn't quite reflect the service. Internet is intentionally slow and cannot stream Netflix. Charging $10 for faster speeds is a good way to make a lot of otherwise complacent customers decide to leave a negative review when that's the only thing they can do with their Wi-Fi. $50 deposit just to borrow an umbrella on a rainy day comes off as cheap and greedy.

Greatest boutique hotel in Ottawa. Staff is amazing and friendly, rooms are cozy. Hotel is located in the heart of the city, walking distance to pretty much anything you need.

Quaint property conveniently located in downtown Ottawa. The lack of onsite parking (only valet and offsite parking lots) is somewhat problematic and adds to the cost of your stay. Ours was $28 for a nearby lot. The room we had was outfitted nicely with a king sized bed, LCD TV, mini fridge and Keurig. The fabric headboard oddly had a quilted shower curtain draped over it (kinda strange) but the bed was comfortable. Noises from other rooms could be easily be heard while in the hallway but, when in the room, nearby rooms could not be heard. All in all, a decent little property that offers a quaint, compact, stay in the heart of downtown.

Crappy. Should have stayed at the Westin which is where we normally stay. Stupid waitress threw out my food instead of wrapping it up for take away (I ate a quarter of my over priced sandwich & a few fries), rooms are small, coffee machine doesn't work, beds are doubles not queens, they don't provide extra soap in the amount we needed, the website didn't tell us valet parking only, they don't have cots. Everything is cheap here.
Giving two stars because I don't see any bed bugs.

Very comfortable! Loved the Roman tub! A chic boutique hotel with excellent service. Front desk was very attentive. The restaurant has interesting ways to prepare common items, making for a surprisingly enjoyable meal.

Terrible hotel. As an avid traveler, we like to spoil ourselves every now and then by staying in a nice hotel. The service usually provided in a 4 or 5 star hotel helps to burn off some of the stresses involved with traveling. Whoever manages and trains the staff at this hotel should be fired. Upon check in, the host informed us of a $50 pet fee even though we were told prior to booking that there was no additional fee. Instead of apologizing for their miscommunication, we we…re left to feel like they were doing us a favor by making an exception. When asked for help with bags, we were forced to wait for a good amount of time even though we were the only people in sight, then left to handle the baggage cart on our own. Finally, when calling for a late check out time option, we were dealt with in a very rude and careless manner. This is a hotel that's marketed as a high end, boutique hotel but unfortunately you'll get the same treatment as you would in a Red Roof Inn!

Booked for their majestic king room, got the small queen room instead. Room was clean enough but bathroom left something to be desired. There was a coffee mug ring left on the side of the tub. There was soap scum left on the towel rack. There was little black splatter marks on and around the light switch which I had to clean myself. Their website boasts about their great spa amenities in each room, but the only spa-ish thing I saw was a rain shower head. Many other better choices out there.

We stayed for one night for a birthday getaway. The location is perfect for a “night around town”. Local dining and drink recommendations from the staff in the lounge were great. Rooms are snug as your should expect downtown, but the bed was simply amazIng. Free weekend parking located just down the street.

I cannot remember ever having such an amazing, friendly, quick and ever so friendly check in! Michelle at the front desk was so welcoming and helpful and quick to find out where and when stores were open for me close by. I loved being upgraded to a fabulous suite! Jean-Andre the bellhop, valet and jack of trades doorman could not have done more to help me. Other hotels could learn lots from the outstanding customer service at the Arc hotel. The rooms was spotless, comfortable and everything needed for a comfortable stay.

I had a gift certificate for a night with breakfast and valet included so my review might be slightly biased. The room itself was like any other room, nice and cosy. The valet service was fast. Front desk answered my questions clearly and quickly. The restaurant food as decent.

2 stars, 1 for the staff that is very nice, 1 for the food it is good, but that's it! Entering the lobby it smelled like sewer with a touch of perfume completely disgusting! The rooms are so small you can't even open your luggage! The bathrooms are very old they need a refresh! Completely overprice you can stay at the Fairmont across the street for 20$ more per night!

Our room was very nice. However not having any vending machines and needing a beverage in the middle of the night really sucked. Oh and not sure the reason but the main lobby smells like sewage.

Bed is pretty awesome and comfortable. Room was clean. Staff is amazing and made this 4 stars vs 3. The bathroom is terribly small and the room is even smaller. I'm used to larger rooms in Canada (even in Toronto), so this room size was a disappointment (King). Service as mentioned before was worth its weight and would make me come back for that specifically over the room. The larger rooms are under romantic and family which I found out after the fact, so there is some hope for next time.

I originally saw the hotel’s website when it first opened, and I loved the design of it — both the website and the hotel looked absolutely elegant (note: the website since has changed and is rather ordinary). so I took note and when travelling to ottawa I made sure to stay there — twice in fact. And no disappointment to my expectation! details such as a glass of champagne when checking in is a lovely touch which I highly appreciated. The hotel is very conveniently located so you can walk to many places downtown. Additionally, fair pricing makes this little hotel a total gem. note: I don’t think that "boutique hotel" is an appropriate description for it as I haven’t seen anything for sale (technically a boutique hotel offers for sale everything you use).

The service was beyond phenomenal. The way the staff was candid, polite, and helpful made me feel like I'd actually known the specific individuals a long time. Astrid and Nicholas really were charming, welcoming, and great to chat with during my stay. There were others as well, but those two made my first impression! Thanks, I'll be back.

Our room was OK. Small but functional. I'm going to go to Ottawa. Not to mention that we were a few steps away from the arrival/departure of the Marathon!

Very comfortable bed, coffee kurig, refregirateur, safe, ice tray, they give apples per floor, bilingual staff welcoming and Nice, close to all services, valet service but very poorly insulated hotel, small sink not much room for there Put things, no recycling, lack of electrical outlet near the bed to connect cellular device or other.

This hotel makes you feel special. They give you a glass of wine when you come in, they have all the amenities for free and a great package of extras for a reasonable price (parking and breakfast) Would definitely go back.

For the price, I was expecting a bit more. The rooms were fairly small, bathroom small, and the overall feel didn't impress at first. However, the concierge was wonderful, they really made the experience worthwhile. They treat customers like people, not just someone they needed to put into a room. The centralized location was also a big plus, everything is a 20 min walk away at most. The rooms were clean and tidy. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Good location in the down town of Ottawa. Small rooms for the price though. The elevator is weirdly tiny. Makes me wonder what the building was before it was a hotel. TV's need to be updates. No HDMI ports so I couldn't hook up my laptop.

The reception is very friendly, and the overall hotel look is modern and refreshing. The supplies provided at the hotel are phenomenal.

Location, room, and service were great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean.

The room was beautiful. It was spacious and the bes wss beyond comfortable. The view was a lacklustre but it was in such a good location we spent most of our time walking the city. Everyone we dealt with at the hotel was pleasant and helpful.

We were in Ottawa for one night — it was a quick trip, and we were glad to have stayed at The Arc. Some of the staff who greeted us were quite young, and a little bit goofy/unprofessional, but it didn't rub us in a bad way — just an observation. We were given vouchers for a free glass of wine, however our event started earlier than when they began serving them, and ran later as well. We didn't get the opportunity to sample a glass. The bed and the pillows were so comfortable. The shower was fantastic. We could hear people in the next room over, but it wasn't an issue for us come bed-time, which was a blessing. Valet brought our car to us in a few short minutes, which made the check out process quick. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay again.

Cosy, quite, comfy bed, everything one is looking for in a boutique hotel, few steps from main landmarks of capital city.

Our stay was fantastic. We cannot recommend this hotel enough! My now husband and I stayed at ARC when we were in town for our wedding. The Lobby The lobby was beautiful. We took pictures down there after we got dressed for the wedding and there were tons of great places for this. The Rooms Our room was small but quaint. The hotel looked older but nicely upgraded and well taken care of. Everything was very clean. Location It's in the middle of downtown Ottawa. Everything you'd want to see while staying there is in walking distance of a short drive — Parliament, the Art Museum, Rideau Center, The Byword Market, pubs and food, etc. The Glebe is only a 5 minute drive too. The Service The service was by far the best we've ever received from any hotel! When they couldn't find a clothes steamer and my husband needed same day dry cleaning for his wedding clothes, they made it happen. Valet parking was always quick. They served free champagne and chocolate from 2-11 every day downstairs. All the staff knew who we were and that we were getting married and took extra good care of us. Everything would have been significantly more stressful at a different hotel, but we didn't have to worry about anything. Overall Stay here! We loved it and will stay next time we're in town. It wasn't anymore expensive than chain hotel but had way more character.

Very Nice hotel. The rooms were very up dated and fancy buy they were really small. Fridge and safe in all the rooms and the staff was very nice. Valet parking was 28 dollars a night or you could park over at the N. A. C for 18 dollars a day free in weekends. Some people were saying Wi-Fi was 10 dollars a day that is not true it was free. You just had to sighn in with your room number and. Their was no charge for the Wi-Fi (other then what was included in the fee) Over all I was impressed with the hotel.

If you like boutique hotels, then this is for you. Otherwise the rooms are tiny, the bathrooms smaller, Wi-Fi is $10 a day and hotel staff are not usually all that pleasant. The first day I had a very nice doorman who helped me in with my luggage but those at reception are very, very, rude. The rooms are usually very clean and I love the turndown service.

The Table D'hote menu during the holidays was awful.
