The room was pretty nice we had a corner room with an on suite. It was big and spacious. It did not like the atmosphere as far as the people. They seemed very unfriendly. The front desk staff was not friendly. Check in was alright. Check out was horrible. I stood waiting for someone to take care of me for about 10 minutes. I ended up saying something because other people were being taken cared of before I could get checked out. I left there very upset. It seemed to new the front desk person that could have checked me out didn't like either my English or my color.

I was in Ottawa to present at a conference and stayed at the Business Inn for a few days. I was very impressed with the size of the room, the amenities, and the cleanliness. Having a kitchen was very handy and the large living room area gave me a space to work in the evening. The location is also fabulous and I was able to visit many restaurants by simply walking down the street. I strongly recommend this hotel, especially if you are going to be without a car.

My first time staying here. Check in was quick. Room was clean. To my surprise, it had a personal computer, a printer an air purifier. It was great and staff were really helpful as well. Only thing they can improve on, was breakfast but still did a good job.

We enjoyed our stay at the business inn. The place is very clean and neat. We didn't expect to get a full apartment with a living room, dining room and a full kitchen, plus there is house keeping and room services! There were two TVs and a computer amd a printer for us to use, we we didn't need to use. The price we pay was great for its downtown location. We were able to walk everywhere and saved money for parking! The surrounding areas have lots of good restaurants and shops for us to visit. Whether you are looking for a place to stay for short term or long term, for leisure or for business, this hotel will fit all your needs. You can even host a few friends or having a casual business meeting in your suite. Laundry, breakfast and gym are all available. I am impressed and will book this place again if I am in Ottawa again.

Great rooms at a convenient location in the downtown Ottawa area at a very competitive price. Front desk staff were polite and friendly. The included breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast plus breakfast sandwiches. Would stay again!

Sadly I didn't get to check-in. I put my VISA Debit as a card but apparently it is not hotel policy. They told me that when I arrived to the hotel and already took 300$ off my card. The girl said theres nothing she could do to help me and made me feel like it was my fault. At the end of the day I slept outside in my car with 300$ short. (I would rate zero star if I could)

One of the best hotels in Ottawa. Super clean, very spacious at a great location. Also great value for money for short or long stays.

We were in a room/studio freshly. Totally equipped (cook, oven, microwave, TV…). Very clean.
Breakfast is gargantuan and friendly staff!

The room we got was called studio and it was a full floor. Under my point of view one of the best rooms I have stayed in. Great, new everything, super clean, and breakfast very well. I missed some chocolate, but that's my weakness.

The business Inn has berry large, well equipped rooms. Excellent breakfast provided, and close proximity to everything in downtown Ottawa (10 walk from Parliament). Inexpensive and clean. I would absolutely recommend. Ps, their bedding and pillows are REALLY good.

Very good hotel, the room is huge, the size of two standard rooms. The bathroom is very well equipped, the bed super comfortable and spacious. It has a kitchen with basic elements in case you get lazy eating out. A desktop PC and two TVs. The room was very quiet and the breakfast was very good.
The breakfast is typical of this area of the world where the natural food as the. Fruits are missing in the diet, but it is also very well, it meets.
The only thing that would improve is the signposting of the halls as one can get confused to get to their destination. I recommend it!

Clean, large rooms with kitchen. Slightly dated plumbing and bathroom fixtures, but perfectly functional. Water pressure in the shower was very strong. Breakfast is decent, and they have packed food bags that you can take with you for your day at work or sightseeing. Location is excellent with a large selection of restaurants and pubs very close by, with one right downstairs.

The place is very clean. You will not find cleanliness like that in any hotel or even at home. Breakfast was very generous and tasty. We could even take with us specially prepared bags for with the snacks…

Great service, the ladies that come and clean are really charming they were so cute & polite There's a gym, a laundromat and a pool room/casino, not mention a ton of restaurants and bars to visit. Also some pretty good vegan restaurants nearby.

Great Hotel! We arrived home today from our stay here at the Business Inn and it was great! No complaints whatsoever. There is a full kitchen with stove and oven, complete with the essential cooking utensils needed to make your own food and save some money. There was even a computer fit with a printer in the room (the computer kept our son busy with web math games when he woke up before us). It had a fan for your pleasure and THE BEDS WERE RIDICULOUSLY COMFORTABLE, all of our plans were derailed because we were so comfy and just didn't want to get up! If you are feeling adventurous and would like to try some local cuisine, you are as close as a 1 minute to as long as a 15 minute walk from good food choices. From fast food, to Dunn's Deli, to some Ottawa originals, you are right in the action at this hotel. The parking is $15/night and your car will pretty much be sitting there your whole trip! You are a 16 minute walk away from parliament, and a 5 minute walk from the Museum of Nature. There is so much to do, and you really don't need your car if your staying at this hotel. Their complimentary breakfast was excellent and had everything you needed for your day! Including pre-packed "snack packs" with water, cookies, apple slices, a granola bar and even a mint once your done chowing down! it sure kept us full for the majority of the day.

Excellent Breakfast. Quality and variety of food above the average of the hotels with lunch included. Old-fashioned building, in fact, these are former condos. The parts are big. It's old but it's clean.

Loved this hotel. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the room I stayed in was really nice. It had a kitchenette and an office space with a PC. It also had a big sitting room area. 100% would stay there again.

Everything you need to be comfortable. Practically all the amenities one would want. Very good. The not so good will likely be the gym. On the other hand, the provided breakfast I find was an upgrade from the normal relative to other hotels.

Not perhaps a typical 5 star rating as the building is not new, but it has all the advantages of the older spaces — definitely more spacious than newer facilities, together with service which would leave the new 5 star hotels green with envy. The suites have just about everything you might need. I travel solo and had a "mini suite": desk, table, computer with printer, Tv, leather recliner. Full kitchen etc. It had the first bath I found clean enough to use. There is a free laundry, with a beautiful steam cleaner unit. A basic gym, good breakfast (even a carry out lunch), and hospitality suites. This is a great place to stay if you value comfort over swank. Excellent value. Definitely my goto in Ottawa now.

This was situated in a really great area… definitely bang for ur buck! The room itself was huge, with a queen size bed, living room, kitchen, bathroom and a computer station. The room was very old and you can tell the staff maintains it well with fresh linens and towels. The hotel includes free breakfast which is your standard bacon, sausage or regular breakfast sandwich. Fruit, juices, bread & cereal!

I had a very nice stay with my family. The rooms are comfortable and offer good breakfast. There are washing machines and dryers for customers to wash their clothes at no extra charge. It also has pool tables and a moderately equipped gym. Good value for money.

Really great value. Great location. Easy check in. Staff are polite. Quiet. Reasonably priced underground parking. I would have given 5 stars but the decor is VERY tired and drab. Very clean though.

We stayed in a large very comfortable 1-bedroom unit for 2 nights. Even though we arrived late evening, an indoor parking space had been kindly reserved for us. Continental breakfast was delicious. Excellent downtown location.

The room and general decor of the inn was quite dated and there was an absence of ceiling lighting which made the room feel a bit dim. However, there was everything we needed and more within the suite itself, including a Dyson fan, a desktop computer, a full kitchen, living and dining room and more. We enjoyed our stay due to these extras and the overall service, plus free breakfasts and to-go snacks. The area is fantastic, especially if you're into shopping, dining out and having a few drinks. The only thing that let down the experience was the dated interior.

This is a pretty good hotel. Defi Italy on the older aide but the rooms are full apartments with a full kitchen, dining table, living room and computer with a computer. Definitely worth the price of the rooms. Maybe not the ideal place if you are looking for a really modern flashy hotel. The people at reception were really nice and helpful.

A very beautiful place where there is only peace and tranquility, as everything inside the hotel is beautiful. Its facilities, its decoration, its design, structures and all the other things that this hotel has. The rooms are very comfortable, and very spacious, have hot and cold water, with shower, iron, burrito for ironing, pay TV, with a very large bath tub, are well decorated and aesthetically well located all the accessories of the room Because there's a lot of space. The service: not to say… They are very friendly and helpful, of course it is their work but there are many that even their work or perceive propionas are very rude, crude and disrespectful. They love to put on their bad face, but in this case they are very patient and willing. Great service. A budget hotel in terms of location as there are cheaper but farther away from the city. The rooms are beautiful and remembered, they are very well equipped, they will really be fascinated when they go. It's just that I was confused about hotel but this is worth a lot. Locked up recommended. If you are going to occupy this hotel and if you do not go take a look at nothing else to see the quality of it. Pro: Spacious condo style rooms, with a kitchen and work station with desktop and printer in every room. Breakfast is simple but sufficient, including juices, coffee, cereals, breads, pastries and made to order breakfast sandwiches. 24 hour gym area includes treadmills, free weights and even a barbell. Cons: Elevator fits 8 people max without luggage. Parking is very limited in both outdoor and indoor lot. Rooms are a bit dated. Overall good value for money. Would stay here again.

Well located, staff nice and friendly, room clean and quite. Breakfast normal for Canadian style. The Wi-Fi is not good because always interrupt connection. No locker on my room. I believe that could get more folder about the tourism attraction and where we can bay it.

Beautiful hotel. Great location — close to a lot of restaurants, pubs and attractions. The days are very helpful and provided detailed directions when needed. They are very friendly and polite. The rooms were spacious with amenities such as fridge, stove, dishes and coffee maker. It had a large sitting area with a very comfortable sofa. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were perfect. Overall a great place to stay in Ottawa!

Was not expecting what we walked into! First off, AMAZING front line staff who are professional and friendly making sure that everyone feels welcome and understands the lay of the land. They treated everyone with patience and courtesy from the large group from out of country to the obviously exhausted couple with young children, making check-in a quick and painless endeavor. Affordable underground parking with plenty of room and quick access to the hotel. Then, we walked into the room and were floored by it's size, cleanliness and comfort! All the staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating with genuine smiles and inquires as to whether we needed anything. The location is steps from EVERYTHING from pizza to shopping to Parliament. Staying there on a Friday night gave us a great look at the bustling night life in beautifully lite patios throughout Elgin St, just outside the front door. With a U of O student starting next month, this is our new 'base of operations' for visits!

Is a slightly older hotel but well located. Parliaments Hill is about 20 minutes away. Walk. Breakfast is OK, room also good.

In a great location it allows you to turn to downtown Ottawa without taking the car. Comfortable and spacious room with PC in the room connected to the Internet. Free Wi-Fi. Good, plentiful and varied breakfast.

Price and location pretty good hotel. We had an apartment here which was very well furnished though quite old.
The hotel has its own parking lots which are subject to charges.

Staff is helpful. Rooms are nice. 10 min walk to everything in the core. 'free' parking if you park down the street. They've replaced our tea pot and fridge after they stopped working (Brand new ones). We usually have one major complaint at a hotel. We're happy to say that at the business inn there is nothing worth complaining about.

It is a good hotel, but our room was a nightlife area and was almost impossible to sleep. The breakfast, not the wonder. It can be because it is clean and has good price, also well located parking, but it is not the best sleeping quietly.

I have booked this Hotel based on very good reviews. … and will see and comment after my visit. You just have to wait. Sorry I had to select four stars based on the other people comments. By the way, visiting Ottawa first time on the 5th May 2016. So far having a wonderful time in Canada (Québec). Kia Ora.

Beware* 15$ parking. Also they ask for a 300$ deposit from a credit card with no previous heads up. The staff is extremely fake. The room however was amazing, clean, tidy and very large for the price. Highly recommend just be prepared for the steep deposit and extra fee for parking.

Well situated. Plenty of places to eat. Lovely apartments with full kitchen facilities. Helpful staff. Good breakfast choice. Stayed 28 Aoril for 4 nights.

We had 3 Visitors from Vancouver and booked a suite for them at the Business Inn for 3 nights and from their reaction they enjoyed their stay and found the location very convenient to town, museums, parliament and market place all within walking distance. They expressed excellent service. We enjoyed a good meal at MacLarens with them and took in a couple of games at the pool tables for relaxation. They did stay an extra night. WE'll definitely use it again.

Booked a room from Brockville for my myself and my sister and niece coming from Thunder to watch the Oscars. They had suites and big tv's which was perfect for our night. When I got them they said I wasn't supposed to reserve because I was "local. " mentioned that Brockville is over an hour away and they said it was still considered Local. I said I would have my sister who was from Thunder Bay come in and take over the reservation and they said she couldn't because I made it. I said okay, forget the reservation she will come in here and just see if you have a room available. They "yes, but we will still know you're with her. " I asked what the distance was in km that made this policy — since it was so strict and she said " an hour. " I was about to interrupt that I was more than an hour and she stopped me by adding "… 2 hours. " I mentioned that it was pretty vague for a strict policy. Happily did not stay there — never will. Had a GLORIOUS night at Best Western Plus Victoria Suites on O'Conner.

It was our first time in Ottawa with the family. We would definitely stay here again. Our stay was really comfortable and felt at home especially with two children. It wasn't a bad walk into the town considering we came in the middle of winter. Overall stay was excellent Double thumbs up!

I stayed with my wife for a few nights. We did nlt expect the room to be that big and equipped as it was. We had a kitchen, balcony, kingsize bed, a couch, a computer and a big TV in our main room. Additional we had a lot of storage space in two seperate wall-closets and a normal sized bathroom. About the bathroom was nothing particular special. The Houskeeping was special though. Very friendly people who even cleaned a big mess we made. No hesitation. Totally professional and clean. We were very pleased with that. A friendly set of staff in the breakfast room and the reception desk gave us the feeling of beeing important. We would not hesitate to book again in this Hotel. Its location is also a key role in planning trips around the canadian capital.

Great place. Was very surprised at the rooms. If you are staying more than one night it is very comfortable. Huge room with kitchen, table, couch and king size bed. Fabulous breakfast, plus they do up a travel bag of food! Close to all. Great area to walk around in. All staff helpful and friendly. Only problem was trying to park so you could register. Need to do something about that. The taxis are taking the space so you can run in and register. All in all well worth the visit and we will definitely be back! Thanks.

We booked a week at the Business Inn. Rm 229. Extremely clean. Quite. Great view of the park and local heritage houses. The local neighborhood was fantastic for restaurants and pubs! Service was exceptional. The price was extremely reasonable. Full kitchenette and computer with printer! We stayed 3 nights at the Marriott downtown for the honeymoon, big mistake (dirty, poor service, EXPENSIVE) we soooo… regretted leaving the Business Inn. WE highly recommend this hotel.

We had an amazing time at this hotel. Very good customer service from the staff and housekeeping. The rooms are so well maintained. And clean. Very good breakfast too. Definitely recommended and will return again for sure. Keep up the good work!

I stayed here once and there was construction for the full week beside my window. What view I had was of construction men's butts. Furthermore, the second time I asked not to be on the floor and told me, "Maybe somewhere in Quebec would better suit your cheap needs. " It's family run, which usually I totally support, but this time it was a vicious circle of an entire family ganging up on me when I complained. I would never stay here again and hope that if someone else has to complain, they listen and don't just push you off. Completely disgusted by the entire establishment.

I originally booked the superior studio and it was really nice. It is essentially a bachelor apartment and looked to be newly renovated. I wanted to see if I could upgrade and get a room with a balcony just to be able to sit outside at night and enjoy ottawa's view. They were very accommodating and switched me to one of those rooms. The room was huge, it essentially is a one bedroom apartment. The only thing that needs to be done with these room is an overhaul and update of the decord and fixtures like in the superior studio. The decor (carpet, washroom, and curtains especially) feel like you are in the 80s or 90s. The rooms could be so much more special with some work done to them. The location is nice, right on Elgin Street with numerous bars and stores around. The Canada Museum of Nature is close by so is the rideau canal and its bike paths. Parliament Hill and the locks are about 10 minute walk away and University of Ottawa is about a 15 minute walk away. Breakfast is your standard continental spread. The breakfast to go bags could need a revamp. They come with a bottle of water, an apple, a granola bar, and cookies (cookies really aren't considered breakfast food). Perhaps throwing in a sandwich and maybe a few other things in like a yogurt will make it a better to go breakfast bag. I do suggest asking for a room that faces away from Elgin street as it is a busy street during the day and at night is very noisy due to people going to all the bars at night.

It is a very good experience. Room is big and bright, with a kitchen and a small living room. They also provide a gym and many other services. Close to downtown and good price. I'd like to book there again if I go to Ottawa.

It is really a good deal to live here. The advantages are too many to describe: a clean and neat badroom with a comfortable bathroom, a nice living room with computer equipments, a kitchen with complete implements, delicious breakfast, free laundry and strong Wi-Fi. Moreover, its location is pretty good for travelers. It's in the middle of the main attractions, Ottawa VIA station and Central Bus Station. Therefore, it's very easy to walk around the city. This is one of the best hotels I have lived with such a good price.

Best inn ever I was there last night they were like so welcome to me.

I recently spend 3 nights at The Business Inn. I was amazed with all the amenities in the room, not to mention the size and cleanliness. The staff were very helpful and efficient. There was no game of "20 questions" when checking in or out! That is so unusual and MOST appreciated.

Absolutely the greatest! Brekfast is awesome, rooms, service everything about this place is great :).

It may be a great deal, I never found out. Booked and paid for my daughter and son in law, a military reservist, a night so they could travel to Ottawa for remembrance day ceremonies. Despite a 5 hour drive, my pregnant daughter, with my 2 year old granddaughter and son in law were refused the pre paid room because they have no credit card, despite the fact the hotel was offered my card, cash from them, well above their required deposit or even a call from a Expedia rep, who booked the room. The desk person, Michael, claimed no manager to talk to, was rude, condescending and at 10:30 at night basically told them, too bad, you will never get a room in Ottawa, After being hung up on (from Toronto) 6 times, I sent them to the Sheraton where they were welcomed with no problems.

This is a terrific deal, and I don't have anything critical to say, though I do have a suggestion. First, to give credit where credit is due, the price is great, the cleanliness of rooms is great, the size of rooms is unbelievable, the kitchen in the room is nice, the free breakfast is decent, the gym and laundry are helpful, the location is excellent — — right near a restaurant strip and many attractions. But even the good can do better. My suggestion is that this place should model a good establishment that's part of a good tourism partnership. Instead of the insipid coffee in the room, why not order a selection of fair trade from the excellent Bridgehead a hundred feet away? Why not feature local farmers, bakers and jam-makers at breakfast? Why not list the nearby restaurants with local food, beer and entertainers? Why not highlight local farms and gardens to visit? In my e-book called Food for City Building, I argue that restaurants, hotels, farmers and others should band together as members of the hospitality industry and be. HospitABLE together. We could wait for government to support such a combination, if anyone can hold their breath that long, or respected places like the Business Inn could kick off the campaign. Then it would definitely be the best deal in town.

My wife and I just stayed 2 nights at the Inn and it was a fabulous experience. The suite was perfect in every way from furnishings to funcionality. The breakfast menu was amazing in quality and variety. To be sure sure the staff in all aspects were great. We have stayed in many hotels in many countries and this was by far the best value we can remember. This was our second stay and we would not hesitate to recommend the hotel unconditionally Cheers and enjoy your stay.
