The view. The service was good. The room was clean. Love heavenly bed.

Worse experience ever. The hotel could not find our reservation for our second room even though we had a reference number. They did not even offer to find another room for us. And parking was terrible to get to.

We absolutely LOVE Westin hotels. This is our place to stay everywhere we travel. We wouldn't have it any other way. We also love the Westin Burger from their room service menu.

I’ve been travelling to Ottawa for the last 10 months. The Westin is the best hotel I’ve stayed at here. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make your experience great!

I’ve stayed here twice now and have zero complaints. The location is perfect and close to everything and staff is extremely helpful. Clean rooms with luxurious beds.

Lovely stay. Friendly service. Excellent breakfast buffet with excellent hosts (cheerful breakfast service is a great way to start the day) Great Wi-Fi.

We loved this hotel. We came with our Boston terrier Charlie for one night on labour day weekend and from arrival to departure we were made to feel special. Loved that they call you ten minutes after you arrive to make sure everything is okay They offered doggy bed and bowls but we had brought our own. The room was huge, clean and modern. Great location too. Steps to Parliament Hill. Only problem was the parking is a bit confusing to get into. And, guys, the toothpaste you provided us upon request was ridiculously small. Barely enough for one use! Other than that, we will be back!

Very nice location. Facilities are modern and we'll maintained. Staff are very nice and professional. Guest rooms are amazing. Clean, comfortable and very well kept.

Stayed here for the Canada Day long weekend so the place was packed but check in was still fast and easy. The rooms were spotless and each day the cleaning service made sure it was that way every time we got back to the room. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The best thing is it's close to Parliament Hill and the Byward Market, about a five minute walk to each. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I'm in Ottawa.

Great spot for Canada day celebrations being 3 min walk to Parliament Hill and Major Hill park for fireworks. Room was spacious and clean. Appreciated the robe and soothing oils for a deep sleep. Service was efficient even with a crazy horde of people checking in Canada day. Don't expect a huge pool for lap swimming and you'll be pleased. Also nice touch with $10 bike rentals and new balance workout rentals.

A wonderful hotel, in a convenient location. The staff is extremely friendly, and goes the extra mile. Rooms are quite, good sized, with new looking amenities (from TV to fridge to lamps). Bathroom is a bit all, but ok. The hotel has direct access to the shopping mall as well as the Shaw center.

The room was clean and comfortable. The view was great. Centrally located. But that was all the positive I can offer. In a town filled with upscale establishments the Westin epicly fails to offer a great customer service and uses its location as sole point of interest. First off, they advertise on Google offering free breakfast. Not so. When this was brought to the attention of management they failed to offer any sort of token of appreciation other than claiming no responsibility for Google's description. Not even a voucher for a drink or food credit of any sort. The pool is filled with screaming kids at all hours with no adult swimming periods. The hot tub despite being posted as 16 years and up also filled with kids. Once again management doesn't care. So since you don't care about my patronage don't expect me to return. At 250 bucks a night I can find a better place to stay and spend my money on.

Nice hotel. Good views. Check in took a long time. Not enough staff when I came. Hotel is very loud at night. Bad room insulation. If you are anywhere close to the elevator you will not sleep.

Beautiful hotel. The room we were in had a beautiful view of downtown Ottawa. It looked modern and spotless. Very spacious. The bed was comfortable. The pull out couch was not so comfortable for the kids. They both complained that they had back aches. The amenities were wonderful… Basketball court, full gym, warm salt water pool and hot tub. They had many clean towels in the gym/pool area. I would definately stay at the Westin Hotel again.

Chic and modern hotel. The meals provided for the events are very good and good quality. The staff, especially those at the front door, are very nice and friendly.

Recently renovated, the Westin is centrally located near the Market area. Convenient access to Shaw Centre and also indoor mall connection. Great team and staff as well as amenities.

We enjoyed the conference last weekend at the Westin. The amenities offered for the attendees were excellent; a good selection of fruit, pastries, along with many choices of beverages. The washrooms were very nice. The staff, I have to say, were outstanding. Friendly, helpful, and efficient. We would consider staying here on our next trip to Ottawa.

Great place and always love the service. I have been visiting here each time I'm in town. The menu could you a refresh but alcohol selection was amazing.

Beds/pillows are extremely comfortable. I had a fabulous rest. The rooms temp was adjustable (usually in hotels the thermostats don't really change the actual temp). Rooms were very clean. Awesome showerhead. Comfortable robe. Workout clothes/shoes provided; and great views from the gym. Long wait for the elevators but otherwise this place was amazing. Oh — no extensions for late checkouts so just be mindful of that.

I was there for a social evening with other professionals. The service was impeccable. Thank you.

Had the oppurtunity to be here for a conference. The meeting rooms are really spacious and has a good view of the downtown. Really liked the interiors. The catered food was delicious and had a lot to choose from. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The parking is however quite expensive even on the weekends.

Fantastic location within walking distance of the Byward market. Great service. Rooms were nice and well maintained. This is hands down one of my favourite hotel in Ottawa.

Stayed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day the hotel staff were terrific, turkey to go and steaks with room service were great! Thanks Erin P and the 2 Laura's for making a very difficult Christmas better. The suite was beautiful and the view of Ottawa at Christmas so nice. Your staff went above expectations, much appreciated and loved the tree. Beds were very comfortable.

A very well located hotel, a few steps from Parliament. We had made a reservation via Hotwire. Simply disappointed that we were placed in a very poorly positioned room, probably because we went through Hotwire. We were also told that the hotel does not have a bath and that the internet was paying. But after going through another person we finally got the free Wi-Fi (and we were hinted that some rooms had room). I have not found it very professional to have two different versions in an establishment of this class. That's why I put 3 stars. However the room was clean even though the décor should be redone. But this is the case for all the hotels in Ottawa, including the Laurier hotel.

I had a great experience… the rooms are very clean. The bar downstairs is very welcoming. The food option is also well balanced. Definitely coming back.

The rooms were nice and well kept. They gave out free lavender smell bombs which was cool. Service was great, everybody was very helpful and the location was right beside the Shaw center which was super convenient because that's where the conference I was attending was being held.

Great hotel. Stayed here for two days and it was worth it. Clean rooms and offered a lot of nice services. Proximity to parliament and the Rideau center made it even better. Service was very nice and quick. Overall great stay, especially for professional events.

The staff at the hotel was very professional. We ate at the Shore Club restaurant during our visit. Everyone in the group is still talking about the meals three days after.

Work holiday party, 55+ people. Staff were courteous, patient, and sincerely pleasant. Barman was jolly and personable. The food was fantastic and Venue TwentyTwo was a perfect location to celebrate with colleagues and loved ones.

Good location. The rooms are not the cheapest but since you get there well from here it is still appropriate. Ideal for a medium budget.

The hotel and the room were very nice. Location is a 10. The specialty rooms were set up wonderfully and the caterer that was used was spectacular! Major problem was the elevators and thus access to the lobby or up to get to your room. I waited as least in 3 separate occasions between 10 and 15 minutes for an elevator. If I was on a low Floor I would have taken the stairs. It was not uncommon to wait 3 to 5 minutes on most occasions. It was quite frustrating. The only other concern would be that we did not get extra soap or shampoo when they were almost finished. It should have been no big deal to have a second set waiting.

The conference room was great and the hotel staff were very pleasant. They have a very nice lobby and even foster dogs for adoption (which you may interact with if you are so inclined). The food served at the meeting was wonderful. While I did not stay overnight, the attendees who did described it as a very nice experience.

Incredible hotel service at the The Westin Ottawa. Our Association hosted a board meeting at the hotel this week and we had great service throughout. Every request was addressed within minutes. But what was really amazing was that upon leaving from my two night stay someone approach me asking me if I need help with my luggage and checking out and he ask me if everything had been good with my stay. I had a terrible night the first night due to noise. A group of people around my room where talking super loudly for hours. It was 3:00 am and they kept waking me up. I did not have the energy to call security and I told the person I knew I should have. Turns out he was the operations manager. Tonight and got an email from the experience supervisor apologizing to the noise and telling me my breakfast will be taken care off. I never expected any follow up. I was the one that suggested our Association tried this hotel after years dealing with a different one due to incredible past experiences in my previous job and I'm glad I did. This hotel knows how to go above and beyond!

Fantastic hotel. Excellent service. My wife lost her glasses in our room (we looked for 2 hrs). The housekeeping came right up when I called. Cleaned the room and found her glasses in a small hole behind the desk. Thank you so much.

Service was attentive and personal. No complaints at all possible in that regard. Food was also good. I asked around, where can I get an excellent meal and was directed here. Good, not excellent. In this league you have to get top cuts of meat and cook them to perfection. Take pride in it and it will show. Cook a good meal, and, well… It's just a good meal. Sorry.

Nice hotel. Excellent location. The employees of the hotel are attentive and do everything they can to make your stay a memorable one. I also love the fact that the Westin is a pet friendly hotel!

The hotel is located in the centre of the city, close to the parliament, the Byward market, and many other places of interest. The room was great and clean and the service excellent.

Very nice here. Staff is helpful and willing to accommodate your wishes. Here for wife's birthday and the staff have been very thoughtful adding their own little touch to make the stay special.

My retrette was so good. The room was at the right temperature, and also the Tette on the shower had had good pressure.

Got a chance to stay here for the weekend and found it to be very clean. Room was quite large. Staff was very helpful, especially when looking for local places to eat. We had a later flight and had to check out at 12. Julie (Concierge) was able to secure our luggage until we were ready to leave, so we had a chance to explore Ottawa without dragging our bags around. Nice customer service!

The Westin hotel chain is reputed to be service. I did not dislike my stay at the Westin Ottawa. The rooms are clean, the perfect bedding, outstanding service and the location is unbeatable.

Disappointing service misses. The good: location, room, and view of Parliament Hill, plus truly the best check-in experience I have ever had with Zachary. Unfortunately that warm fuzzy feeling fled quickly when his colleagues dropped the ball. The bad : it went downhill quickly from there. It took over 50 minutes for our bags to arrive after we dropped them off at the front door and self parked (I guess I shouldn't have tipped in advance). When I called to inquire where the bags were I was told that they were busy and I could go down to the front desk to pick them up. Which I did — of course the bags were not there. They arrived shortly after that. Room Service: without hyperbole this was the worst late night room service I have ever had (and I have had a lot). The homemade kettle chips were completely soggy. They should have been thrown out two days prior (I used to make kettle chips — I understand the problem that when it is humid they only last max 2-3 days. ). There is in my mind absolutely no excuse to be selling several day old and soggy kettle chips. If you don't have the volume, buy in good quality kettle chips in a bag and use them. Please stop serving that soggy mess. The chicken club wrap was completely dry and cold because they make it in advance and apparently the cook hasn't figured out that putting the sauce directly on the tortilla only make the tortilla soggy and the sandwich dry.

First, Ottawa is amazing! We've loved our visit! The Ottawa Westin is amazing too! We have a corner room overlooking the Parliament, just spectacular! The bed is great, the bathroom is really beautifully designed. No complaints about the room or the front desk. We decided to stay in last night and went to the bar. James was one of the bartenders and waited on us. We ordered calamari to munch on with our wine. When it arrived it was chewy, doughy, not cleaned properly and all round nasty. James asked how it was and we told him. It was immediately taken off the bill. Some time later we ordered the 12 oz filet. We split it plus split the baked potato. Neither were hot and several bites of the steak was grisly. We said mother but at $48.00 (I think) plus the potato everything should be perfect.
We'd certainly stay here again and drink here just not eat!

Very nice facility. Fairly quick check-in process. The room was great and the bed comfortable. Also a great view of the parliament buildings. Would recommend to anyone.

Upscale. Rooms seem to have been renovated. Very nice colour selection. Great location being in the mall. Bell hops were very courteous. Staff was always helpful. Room service was swift.

Nice hotel, room was clean and well designed. Only issues I had were pillows that were too soft and shower curtain that was stained. Hotel lost hot water due to neighboring sinkhole so I checked out early.

The location for this hotel is one of the best features of not the best thing about the hotel. It is connected to the Rideau Centre mall which will be even more useful in the Winter. Also, this location is within walking distance to most of the places you would want to see such as the Parliament Hill. Other than that, the staff here is great. There was some issue with my reservation from Priceline but they helped out with that. Facilities are great. Two restaurants with the hotel and Daly's has good breakfast. Also the gym and pool were both good.

Location, good. Service had no issues. Room was your typical hotel room, nice presentation and appears deluxe but the pillows and bathroom are about your average hotel room.

Presented at a conference here. Facilities were good, although I wish there was one large screen as opposed to two screens on either side of the presenter. Enjoyed the view from the junior suite. Rooms are clean and appear newish, although ceiling heights are low and my wife felt it was more of a 4 star experience based on room layout and ambiance. The lobby is nice. The attached shore club has great cocktails. If parking, self park maxes out at $25 with no in/out privileges. Valet parking is $42 with in/out privileges. Would recommend to Ottawa visitors.

Checked in for an overnight stay, and had requested a corner room with a view of Parliament. Staff fulfilled my request, and the room was clean and comfortable. Not to mention the bed! Very comfortable, and provided an excellent sleep.

My room and the overall accommodations were fine. Where I ended up disappointed was upon checking out and being charged for Wi-Fi access despite being a Starwood Preferred Guest. It's not about the $15 per night fee but the way they chose to deal with it. Would have been a very simple matter for the manager to simply reverse the charges and demonstrate exceptional customer care. As opposed to that she took a long time (I waited over 20 minutes while trying to check out) developing a defence for her position, which was indeed correct since I did not book the hotel on the Westin website or using the SPG app, but her manner of delivery and decision on this minor matter has me far more inclined to stay elsewhere next time I'm in Ottawa.

The Westin is one of my favourite places to stay in Ottawa. Always lively and yet welcoming, the hotel is spotlessly clean and well kept. The staff is attentive and helpful. The rooms are modern and bright, with great bathrooms and comfy beds. The workout facility is nice, but is a bit limited in equipment if you want to lift weights. Lots of cardio equipment though. The Westin Workout gear is a great option so you don't have to pack your own and lug the sweaty gear home. Meeting rooms can be a bit cold, so bring a sweater.

Excellent hotel. You can access the mall from the hotel and it is also located at the heart of Ottawa with access to byward market and Parliament buildings. Beds were good size and place is very clean. Rooms also come with a nice 55" led TVs. Great gym area. A bit on the more expensive side but you get what you pay for. Would book from here again.

Went to the Westin to visit friends staying on the 19th floor. The concierge was very friendly and helpful. The suite was amazing. Large bathroom, bedroom and living area. Plenty of space to sit and put food and drinks. Spectacular view, overlooking the city. The parking was very expensive for 2 hours on the weekend almost $8. And the parking meter ate my $10 bill and I needed to call for assistance. Assistance came quickly but was unable to recover my money from the machine so parking ended up costing me $10 instead. The Westin is in the heart of downtown Ottawa you couldn't ask for a better location.

Nice size rooms with lots of light. We got a room facing the canal and it looks great. Closets are a little small for our suits, but that might not impact most travelers. Good comfy bed.

This is my first time in the Westin Ottawa, and the hotel itself is quite nice. The lobby is modern, the rooms are large with a new large flat screen TV with USB connectivity and free Wi-Fi. There is a good gym on the 6th floor with a fair number of cardio equipment and a free weights room with decent weight machines. There is also a pool which is currently under remodeling, but you do get free access to another hotels pool in the interim. Really close to the Rideau Centre which is extremely convenient. Great experience thus far.

Friendly staff, super clean hotel. Absolutely loved my stay there. Great location as well, right in the heart of downtown. I walked to the market, Parliament, Rideau Canal, etc. Highly recommend!

I travel here on business a couple times of year & it feels like home. Staff is always warm, friendly and helpful. The hotel's proximity to the Convention Centre, the Rideau Centre, the wonderful ByWard Market and Parliament Hill makes it an ideal location.

I wish I could stay here every time I come to Ottawa because of the excellent accommodations. Everything was very comfortable and the location is the best.

The hotel is fine although a bit uninspired in ambiance. It is definitely time though that hotels like this stop trying to screw clientele for things like parking (32 dollars per night) and Wifi (really? 16 dollars per night? — why not charge people for turning on their T. V.? ).

The Westin was an amazing hotel it overlooked the parliament building and at night you can look out your window and just enjoy the view of the beautiful city the in the morning you can enjoy your time in the nice spa pool it was a great hotel and I suggest if you want a great hotel experience I Ottawa you should come here.
