Rooms: Always clean but covers are a bit worn out. Compared to other rooms/hotels you might get one that the walkable space is quite limited.

October 2025/Family travel/3 nights stay. My family of 4 adults stayed at Hotel Guest1 in the last week of October. We loved this hotel and the services.

It was our first time staying at Koko Hotel, and we’re glad we decided to change our booking at the last minute.

Good location and comfortable room.
Perfect for solo traveller. The room size is larger than expected. Suitcase can be fully opened. Air conditioner is separate in each room.

Nice and quaint hotel located in Asakusa. Walking distance to Sensoji Temple and Sumida Park. Rooms are a bit small if you are used to Western standards.

We loved this hotel! Very comfortable and right in the heart of all the beauty (while still being private and quiet). There’s a cafe attached to the hotel which is a bonus!

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable.

Price quality iis definitely in equilibrium. The location is fantastic. Away from the hectic streets and shopping area but in a very central and authentic neighborhood at the same time.

Feel Asakusa Hotel exceeded our expectations majorly!

We had a wonderful experience at Tosei Hotel Cocone Ueno Okachimachi. The staff was incredibly warm and always ready to help with a great attitude, making us feel welcome from the very first moment.

Me and my wife had an amazing stay here for a week.

Staff — Hotel receptionists were prompt and efficient. They were able to communicate clearly in English. The check-in and check-out processes were relatively fast.

Stay: Couple. 2 nights in October 2025. Standard room for 2 guests, non-smoking.
Staff: Not exactly friendly but not rude either. Guided us to use the self check-in machine.
Location: Excellent.

Convenient location, it is a 17-20 mins walk to Sensoji and the shopping areas but it is perfect, in the sense that it is peaceful and quiet.

It was our first time in Japan, and it was everything that we expected. The room was intimate but had everything we needed.

This hotel is in a great location. It’s near train stations, attractions (Ueno Park, Ameyokocho etc. ), convenience stores, bars/restaurants, shops and a grocery (Takeya).

There's a lot of APA hotels scattered throughout Japan, but this location specifically is excellent. Largely due to its great location. The rooms are modern, clean and in a great neighborhood.

The owner of this inn is so nice and kind. He will give you free snacks and drinks, cup noodles and more. The room itself is 1 room. Nice bathroom, 2 couches and 5 beds.

The residence would be perfect for a small family. I have stayed there with other 5 friends and the space was very limited but it is possible to stay there.

Automatic 5 stars for finding my beats headphones after we checked out and holding them for me for a few days to come back and get them! Absolutely amazing customer service, super friendly.

Still the best premium capsule I've been too! Not my first time here and service is still the same. Staffs were nice and accommodating. Capsule size is big enough. Can also put luggage under your bed.

Fairly new hotel in the Ueno neighborhood close to Kuramae.
It's a 5 room hotel (each room on one floor). Rooms are extremely spacious and modern, I stayed on the 5th floor.

Most amazing hotel in Tokyo! It was like a warm quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo after a long day. Very clean, modern and beautiful room with built in onsen (tub). Great location too.

Had a wonderful stay at Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro! The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. It’s conveniently located near the train station, making it super easy to get around Tokyo.

Overall had a very pleasant stay here. I booked a comfort double room so I could have an in-unit washer dryer.

The front desk and housekeepers were considerate and nice to us guests. We were a group of 3 laughing together while checking in yet they warmly welcomed us with a lot of patience and smiles.

The hotel is right in a shopping area, super convenient with lots of food options and gachapon stores around.

The hotel has been fully renovated last year and provided all necessary amenities including facial masks and serum for ladies. There is even a small onsen area for guests.

My family of 3 stayed here for 2 nights, good value hotel. The tatami/futton bed are quite comfortable and room have good heating during the cold nights. Necessities are all provided.

This place is very good if you want something cheap and well located in Ikebukuro.

The room is clean, service at the counter attentive and helpful. The heater (air conditioner) has a bit noise, but acceptable. The breakfast is perfect, has a lot of options and delicious.

Rooms are very small, but if you are always out and about exploring tokyo, its actually not that bad. The rooms are also very clean.

I think this is a reasonably priced hotel near the station. The room seems a bit small, but everything is arranged neatly, and the bathroom is very clean.

Fabulous location, so new, so clean, so many mod cons. We had two connecting rooms due to older kids which worked perfectly. Yes small but everything is in Japan. The bathrooms are weird but fun.

Spent the second half of Golden Week at this hotel. It's absoutely perfect for the solo traveller.

I stayed here for two weeks at the end of October to the beginning of November and the staff were great: really friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at ALFIT HOTEL & BAR. The location was great. We were in a business district and only a short walk to the train station.

Great location, walking distance near Skytree and Oshiage station with heaps of restaurants and shops. Room is accessed by a lift. Heaps of floor space to open suitcases.

Economic and worthy choice for me to stay here for a week or so. Was late to check in due to the flight, the owner waited me. Forgot to bring my key, and the girl helped me with access keys.

Very good hotel with great value for money. Comfortable room, clean and well maintained — overall, a very solid stay.
