Sumida Ward Hotels

Located just across the Oshiage Station elevator exit A1. Nice environment with mall across the road.
Very nice and friendly staff. Booked a superior room but got upgraded to a bigger deluxe room.

1. This is my second stay at your hotel.

The views of the Sumida River from the terrace were really nice, and the hotel had an elegant feel throughout the stay.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at The Gate Hotel Ryogoku.

This is the second time we stay at this hotel. The staffs were super friendly and helpful! The rooms are clean and the beds are super clean too!

Keisei Richmond Hotel Tokyo Oshiage is a very convenient and comfortable hotel, especially if you want to stay near Tokyo Skytree.

Happy to come back! 🙂
We found this location convenient for us.
Local shops and restaurants are also interesting and with good variety.

Plenty of food options. Close to the train station and bus terminal. Airport limo arrives at the doorstep and Disney good neighbor buses to bring you to Disney land and sea.

It's a studio apartment hotel.
Very nice, the beds are sturdy, the matresses are not too soft. We are tall and it was normal sized for us.
We could see the sky tree from our beds, which was very nice.

Loved our stay here! Perfect as a home-base while exploring Tokyo. Very close to the Sky Tree with its shops, Super market and public transport.

Rooms — they allowed my daughter to stay with us. It was our choice. For its price and location this is one of the best.
Service — they will assist you no matter what.

Check in was relatively painless. Staff are polite, competent, and have a good command of spoken English. Rooms are quite small. There is a tiny bathroom with small tub, shower, and toilet.

Huge rooms and perfect option for group travel.
Near airport link and Asakusa temple.

Booked my last minute trip to Tokyo and I managed to book in this hotel. I think the price I paid was reasonable for the date I booked and it's quite a high season in Japan. I was travelling solo.

"The room was beautiful and clean, offering excellent amenities including a washing machine. Great location near Tokyo Skytree.

Great location, walking distance near Skytree and Oshiage station with heaps of restaurants and shops. Room is accessed by a lift. Heaps of floor space to open suitcases.

Nice, very clean and reasonably priced hotel.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Perfect place to get your head down for a night or two whilst traveling.

I genuinely am surprised at how small the rooms were and toilet. Not my first time in Tokyo but this is HAHAA legit small.

Great location close to the train station. Rooms are very big compared to tokyo norm. The staff are excellent, if you have a baby they really look after you well.

We really enjoyed our at skM, the room was spacious, clean, serviced daily and had a good selection of free snacks. The staff were amazing, the breakfast isn’t big but it’s enough and quite enjoyable.

Best hotel! Location is 3 minute walking to kinshicho station.

Stayed at the Freda inn for 3 nights, excellent location for shops, cafes and the underground station, we took a no. 17 bus from the airport (got a ticket at the bus information desk) and the bus

Only a short walk from the Skytree, it's a perfect location away from the hustle and bustle of the city whilst being close to transport.

Best hotel I have stayed at so far. Very friendly staff, rooms were amazing and the rooftop is just an amazing bonus. Also well communicated with the metro system so you’re pretty close to everything.

Hidden hotel gem in the Ryogoku district, very close to a subway station and a short walk to Ryogoku Station. Literally right next door to the National Sumo Arena and the Edo-Tokyo Museum.

The room is clean, but a little bit old furniture, AC only 3 modes (L, M, H), close by metro station and bus, you need to take at least 2 lines to go anywhere, beaitiful view to Skytree!

We had a wonderful experience here! My wife is pregnant, so we were hoping to upgrade for a bit more comfort.

Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Tokyo but want some calm at the end of the day.

This place is now added to our favorite places to stay in Tokyo. Amazing location — very near the Tokyo Sky Tree, restaurants, shops, supermarket and Oshiage train station.

We stay for 4 nights at this apartment/hotel.

Close to the skytree and the subway. Nice room and service!

Very convenient location. There's a Family Mart 30 seconds away from the front door, and it's a 3min walk to Oshiage station. Not to mention Tokyo Sky Tree is also just 3min away!

Great hotel for solo travellers!

It could be a good return for the price but I found my room to be too small.

Wonderful hotel with great staff. They are super helpful to English speakers. It's clean and the views are amazing from up top. I didn't use the spa area though because I have tattoos.

Incoming a very detailed review! I stayed here with my husband for a total of five nights (not consecutively) back in September.

The location has its charm during the day and night. It’s reachable via Tokyo Skytree Station if you’re coming from Narita Airport.

Our family visited Tokyo in July and stayed at the Mimaru Tokyo Kinshicho for three night. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, and they were extremely helpful with many wonderful recommendations.

Tucked away on a quiet street, but close to great food (Minnano Craft Beer), convenience stores, and walkable to Asakusa.

Amazing water pressure for shower, and deep tub. I go to Japan for a lot of things but the water and the baths is certainly one of them.

Conveniently located next to a large station with great shopping, food and Sky Tree access. Staff was wonderful. We enjoyed the breakfast and other amenities.

Rooms — big enough for two people and open two big check in luggages. Bed was okay, I suggest getting the pillows offered at the lobby (different styles / tops) to your liking.

I stayed here for 1 night. 5 Minutes walk from JR. A simple guest-house breakfast was offered. Reasonable price. Didn't expect too much.

My partner and I were in this Inn a year ago more or less and we stayed for two or three nights.

When looking for a place to stay in Tokyo the options are many. The issue becomes what would be a good location to be able to get around Tokyo easily.

Loved our stay at Section L. It was very spacious for Tokyo and efficiently designed. The neighborhood is quiet yet close to the station with easy access to everything.

This is a fantastic hotel for a staycation or long-term stay, especially if you’re staying for 3–4 nights or a week. I’d much rather stay here than an Airbnb!

Stayed here for numerous night and it was a fantastic experience.

Loved the location and the place had everything u need and a great washer/dryer. Perfect for 2 and close to Skytree which is worth both daily and nightly visit.

The blanket was fluffy and the location was very good. There is a very nice view of the Sky Tree.

Mr. Tanaka is probably the best host you could ask for. The hostel is extremely well maintained and spotless, and the rooms are spacious and equipped with every possible amenity.

Honestly one of the best places I've ever stayed. The hospitality was brilliant, the owners could not have done more for me. The whole place was spotlessly clean — they are cleaning every day.

The place makes you feel home!
I loved the records to play in the commom area!.

I liked that it had a very relaxing and casual warm atmosphere! You can really find yourself at home.

This Hotel is amazing! It is located in a cozy area of asakusa, and a brisk 5 minute walk away from the bustling center of the area.

Great hostel in a convenient location. Great value for the price. The place has a very calm and quiet vibe, and everything matched the marketing/photos.
The kitchen space is great.

Spacious space for 4 adults and 1 toddler. Perfect facility and have a balcony if you want to do the laundry.

The room was a nice size for Tokyo standards, kind of a quieter part which was nice; however we did get woken up at 4am by noisy neighbours.

Relative old hotel going to close in June, while the staff members are very polite and helpful. Free toothbrush, shavers and cotton buds provided.

A great budget-friendly hostel with excellent value for money. The rooms and common areas were always clean and well maintained.

I stayed here in a shared dorm during my trip to Japan and had a good overall experience.
