Nakano Hotels

We just got back from a 1 week stay here with my 7 year old daughter and all she could talk about on the flight home was how much she wanted to go back.

Really enjoyable and comfortable stay here. Lisa and the team are exceptionally friendly and inviting.

Location: awesome: just next to the station. Direct access to the shopping mall adjacent (supermarket, restaurants).

We stayed here for our honeymoon 11 years ago and remembered it to be great so chose this hotel again recently for our Dec 2025 (2nights) pit stop.

We chose Chisun Grand Nagano because we had stayed in the same hotel chain before (Chisun Grand Takayama) and were very happy with that hotel. Plus we wanted a hotel that has bigger rooms.

This place was amazing and we will return.
We had two rooms listed as the Grand Twin. The beds were comfortable and the rooms a decent size.

Simple and nice hotel for travelers visiting Nagano. We were greeted with smiles as we entered the hotel. Staffs were very helpful.

This hotel sits somewhere between a budget and mid-range hotel. It has a nice reception area, good laundry, fresh clean guest rooms.

We had a wonderful stay here.

The hotel lobby is on the fifth floor. There are shops and restaurants on other floors.

Good location just across the Nagano Station and has a Don Quijote attached to it and a Lawson kombini just outside the hotel.

Pros:
​Ideal Location: Just steps from Zenkoji Temple. Perfect for Hatsumode, especially since the hotel remains open through midnight.
​Great Service: The staff is quick and professional.

As other posts have said older styled hotel and rooms.
Service was fantastic and the hotel had the best bathroom of our trip. Breakfast was a good mix of Japanese and Western foods.

Convenient location as it’s across Nagano station. There’s a 7-11 next to the hotel. Also, there are 2 small malls — C one and Tokyu next to the hotel.

Dormy Inn Nagano was a wonderful place to stay during our trip to Nagano in February. The hotel is clean, easy to navigate, and had large spacious rooms compared to Tokyo.

We stayed at a hotel Courtyard in Nagano that was very conveniently located near the train station. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.

The hotel is easily accessible from Nagano Station. Perfect location if you will use the Shinkansen very frequently. The room has all the basic necessities by Japanese standards.

Stayed here for about 8 nights. The location was great. The room was smaller than it looks in pictures but it was still nice.

We had such a lovely trip for an extended family reunion, where we booked all of the rooms for the family. Azusa was very helpful in the preparation (via Insta chat).

I had a wonderful experience.

A truly special place! We stayed here for the Nagano portion of our baby moon and we loved it. We felt so taken care of by the kind hosts, whose hospitality we’ll never forget.

This is a incredible hotel with a solid breakfast. They have an interesting bath setup with two baths (warm and cold) as well as a sauna. The rooms were really nice to with great beds and cushions.

What a great room and we slept so well, the hotel temperature is well controlled and never felt cold, I do not even need to turn on heating in my room. Pillows are comfortable.

Just stopped by for lunch as v handy at the foot of the slopes. Slight issue with ordering — machine just wasn’t working. So had to pay cash at the counter. But food was amazing.

I initially booked Hotel Ichinose, but due to an issue with Agoda, the staff kindly contacted Hotel Khuls next door, where one of their team members came to pick us up. They quickly directed us to

1166 Backpackers is cozy and authentic. The staff is enormous helpfull: Whether you need help planning your next day trip or help understanding the bus ticketing system.

We had a wonderful stay at this very welcoming hostel. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, organized and offered great advice. We highly recommend this hostel; we didn't want to leave!

A lovely place to stay, run by a wonderful older couple who were more than happy to show you around or answer any questions you may have.

Absolute amazing location to visit shrines.

To say that the hotel is outdated would be an understatement. I think they were the hotel where the athletes stayed during the 80s winter Olympics.

Cleanliness of room can be better, found a pouch belonging to someone else in the room, left lying in a corner of the room.

My Family of 10 stayed for 5 nights, awesome hospitality. Pete and crew were fabulous so accomodating, felt like home. Great location to ski fields, hassle free. Will be back love Madaroa.

I spent a week here with a group who were skiing at a variety of resorts. Accommodation is comfortable but due for a bit of a spruce up. Lodge has all the amenities you need for skiing.

Great little place, very close to the temple and art gallery. Rooms were nice and private, even if the mattress was pretty hard. The station wasn't too far, and the staff were lovely!

A very cozy hostel with a friendly owner. 20 minutes from Nagano station, but the walk is very enjoyable. When I stayed there, the hotel offered no breakfast.

One of the best places I stayed during my visit to Japan.

🌿 楽奇温泉旅館（Rakki Onsen Ryokan）
We stayed here as a family of four adults and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better base.

This is not just an ordinary review but a heartfelt message of gratitude to the night shift staff. On November 17th, around 10 PM, we encountered an unfortunate situation.

Breakfast soba is delicious.
Inari sushi is also delicious.
I have a salad and one more item, so I'm pretty full.
The free coffee from the vending machine was also delicious.

I was surprised that such a hidden gem hotel with the best value for money existed. Close to the station = close to restaurants and convenience stores. Use Nagano Tokyu parking lot.

Wonderful dinner and breakfast.
A pleasant stay at this place.
We were so full and the lady was so kind to takeaway our dessert and made our bamboo shoot rice into onigiri.

This is probably the only inn in Japan that I.
Would stay again for the food. The meals were like fine dining made with local specialities in a creative way. Think apple baked with soup and cheese.
