Cheap Hotels in Malang near Malang Plaza

I stayed in this Hotel for my Malang Trip on December 16th to 19th 2025. Such a Good place to Stay overall.

I recently stayed at Hotel Whiz Prime Malang and overall it was a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

+ cleaning is very good, people are disgusting sometimes but the staff was quick to clean every mess very quickly, I saw some off them cleaning all the time.
+ very friendly and hardworking staff.

I liked the Bobopod! It gives you privacy in a cheap way. I had the double just for myself, I think in the smaller ones it can be quite hard to pack your stuff.

The 3D2N East Java Tour offered by this hostel was truly a great experience! Every stop was even more incredible than the last and everything was perfectly organized.

Spent 2 nights at Snooze after completing our volcano and waterfall tour. We were welcomed by lovely friendly staff!

Hostel: The six bed dorm room was nice with two triple bunk beds. The beds had curtains, lights and sockets.

Unfortunately our weather didn’t cooperate the best, but the tour was still amazing! It’s so nice to not have worry about anything, Just show up and see beautiful views. Our driver Nino was the best!

I stayed here for two nights during my solo trip to Malang, and I can say that it was worth the price.
The room was spacious for one, though there was only little space around the table area.

Firstly I was going there at february 2025.

So, we loved it here! We stayed for 7 days in a private room with shared bathroom. No complaints, the staff was amazing and helped us with all our questions.

We loved everything about our stay!
We stayed in the private AC room, which had a lovely loft and window to look at the city. It was clean, cozy and comfortabele.

We had an incredible experience with Semeru Hostel in Malang!

The 3D2N was amazing. Everything perfectly planne. Everything on time. People very nice. Don’t be afraid of the odd meals, they are good and no bad-belly here.

Really good location in the middle of the city, it's close to everywhere, just tired of getting a room on the 3rd floor up the stairs, the rest is all good for that price, choose room number 12, it's

The location is convenient when you arrive late at Kota Malang station, we spent a very short night but the room was very clean, it has everything you need, communication with the establishment was

Where do I start?
I arrived early in the morning since my train came in early and they kindly allowed me to check in early, considering I was carrying heavy luggage. That was already a huge relief!

Best location in Malang!
Just a short walk to Kayutangan and Alun2.
Staff were great.
Clean shower room and bedroom with cool AC.
Kopitiam just next door.

The room is very nice, good value for money. Staff is helpful and smiling. Location is perfect, close to railway station.

This hotel definately exceeded my expectations. Dont be fooled by the 'guest house' this is an excellent hotel. Great for recovering after short nights for tours to Bromo / the waterfall. 10/10

Stayed for 2 nights at this guest house. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had wonderful hot shower. The whole place looked very nicely maintained.

Picked this hotel because of its great value. It's in the center of Malang city but with reasonable price. Very clean, neat and good taste breakfast.

Artived early, having ridden over Mt Bromo, was hopping to becable to park and leave luggage, but they checked us in do we could have a snssck and shower before we explored, fantastic setvice.

To start, my favourite part was walking into the room and immediately smooth jazz began playing.

Best experience. Hotel is beautiful, homie and spacious. It has high ceiling and well-ventilated, the furnitures are tasteful modern vintage wood furnitures. Staffs are professional and accomplished.

We always stay in this Guest House every time we visit Malang. And each time by design we choose the rooms on the 3rd floor. Especially 301, 302 0r 303.

Hot water, decent aircon and comfy beds. The staff were lovely and helpful. Good location in Malang, can walk to most central stuff.
