Snooze Malang

I had the best experience staying at Snooze Malang for 2 nights. The bed and the room are really comfortable. The air con is pretty cold especially at night, but you have a comfy blanket provided so it's really okay. The staffs are so nice and helpful. The toilets and bathrooms are also very clean. Lastly, the location is great! It's near city center. Walk for two minutes and you'll get to Klojen Market where you can get delicious East Javanese breakfast there. Price is worth it. I'll definitely book again when I visit Malang again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The 3D2N East Java Tour offered by this hostel was truly a great experience! Every stop was even more incredible than the last and everything was perfectly organized. Our tourguides on Mount Ijen, Walle and Kiki, really did a great job!

Spent 2 nights at Snooze after completing our volcano and waterfall tour. We were welcomed by lovely friendly staff! Our dorms were more like individual bedroom pods which was great, super clean, comfy. Pod included a mirror, shelf and hanging space as well as a locker within the room. The hostel was so clean probably the cleanest hostel I've stayed in! The high ceilings made the whole hostel feel so welcoming and fresh. The staff recommended cafes which was appreciated and we were able to order food in.

THE BEST HOSTEL I EVER HAD!
I don’t usually say this lightly, but Snooze Hostel truly exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel genuinely welcomed, warm, attentive, and effortlessly thoughtful, like a five-star hospitality experience in a hostel setting. The guest relations team is simply superb and outstanding, their attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference.
The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and calming, perfect for travelers who want to rest and recharge while still feeling connected. Everything is exceptionally well-maintained, and I have to highlight this, the cleanliness is absolutely top-notch. The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are spotlessly clean, which made my stay even more comfortable and worry-free.
What stood out the most was the service. It’s rare to find a team that is this sincere and consistent, they go above and beyond, not because they have to, but because they truly care.

Having stayed in 50+ hostels across 17 countries, I can wholeheartedly say that Snooze Hostel in Malang is one of the best.
I opted for a 5-Bed Female Dorm, and it's my first time experiencing a dorm room without sleeping in bunk beds. The choice to split the beds with walls is so clever I wish more hostels will do the same thing and follow suit! Each bed includes a hanging shelf, personal light and an electrical outlet. The mattress, pillows and blankets are nice and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and include personal lockers.
If I were to start my own hostel business, it would be like Snooze. The facilities are very clean and tidy. There is a common area for socializing, a huge well-stocked kitchen if you wish to cook yourself and so much lush greenery that truly makes the place feel warm and welcoming. It seems as if no matter what time of day, I always find a staff member cleaning (mopping, organizing the shared fridge, sweeping, wiping counters, etc. ). I can't think of any suggestions for improvement as they seem to have covered all the bases. The property runs like a well-oiled machine. On top of that, the hospitality of the staff is top tier. They happily answered any and all questions I had regarding tours and planning logistics for my onward travel.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay so much I extended for 2 additional nights. Thank you again to everyone at Snooze Hostel Malang for your kindness and service! 5/5 🌟

The Snooze Hostel Malang has very spacious, clean and comfortable rooms as well as plenty of cozy spots in the common area. But what really makes this place special are the wonderful ladies who work there! They are so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The ladies at the reception gave us lots of tips for our time in Malang and one of them even texted my boyfriend to apologize for not being able to say goodbye! Sooo nice!

The hostels operated by Snooze are of impeccable quality. I stayed at the ReVive by Snooze in Banyuwangi and the latest Snooze in Malang.
First and foremost, I'd like to highlight the exceptional kindness of the staff. From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed like family. It's truly heartwarming. I felt so comfortable that I extended my stay. The staff is attentive and responsive to each guest's need.
Regarding the facilities, the single rooms are spacious and very well appointed. The hostel's design is impeccable. Each room has a bathroom with a sink, shower, and toilet. Several sinks, showers, and toilets are also available for guests. Each is separate, allowing for use according to each guest's needs. The hostel also has a fully equipped kitchen. The common areas are very well laid out and decorated, allowing for relaxation or socializing with other guests.
I would like to sincerely thank all the staff for making my stay pleasant and unforgettable.

I stay here for about 7 nights, everything is perfect:
The kitchen, refrigerator, dispenser, gas stove (if you want to cook your own meals). I choose these hostel rather than 4-5 stars hotel because I can chit chat with other travelers or backpackers, and it’s fun for me. By the way, the hostel crew are very nice and friendly. You will always see the crew cleaning every day.

A wonderful stay. We had three nights here and loved it from the moment we stepped in. The staff are all so genuinely lovely and helpful, constantly wanting to ensure your stay is perfect. They answered all of my questions thoroughly, helped with restaurant and activity recommendations, and arranged transport for us to our next destination. Communal spaces are big, clean and welcoming, and the room (we had the deluxe double with private bathroom) was huge and brilliant value for money. Cannot recommend enough!

This hostel is located in a beautiful townhouse area surrounded by greenery, with lots of plants and a very relaxing atmosphere. One of the best things about this place is how quiet it is. There is no motorcycle or traffic noise at all, both during the day and at night.
In the daytime, it’s perfect for backpackers to relax, read a book, plan trips, or just enjoy some peaceful time on their phones. At night, the environment becomes even better for sleeping — calm, silent, and very comfortable after long days of traveling.
Even though the price is very affordable, the facilities are excellent. There is a large common area and a well-equipped kitchen. The bed spaces are spacious enough to sit upright without hitting your head, and each bedroom has its own bathroom. In addition, there are many shared bathrooms and toilets, all extremely clean and well maintained. High-speed Wi-Fi covers the entire villa.
Cleanliness here is truly impressive. You can always see the staff working hard to keep everything in perfect condition. All shower amenities are brand new, and the hygiene standards are top-level.
The staff are friendly, professional, and always smiling. Whenever I had questions, they were happy to help. I would especially like to thank Melan (美兰) — she was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. Her warm attitude made me feel very welcome and comfortable during my stay.
Overall, everything about this hostel is excellent.

Snooze Hostel in Malang was the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. It truly feels like home. The staff are incredibly kind and sweet. The hostel is unbelievably clean — you can see it being cleaned all the time. The rooms are lovely, and there are many great cafés and restaurants nearby. Simply perfect.

Amazing hostel, welcoming and attentive staff, nice rooms, everything is well kept. The only downside was no ac in the room, just a fan, and a window to the hall — if someone wanted to, they could easily open it and peek inside, so I had to sleep with it closed. However, I had an amazing stay, I can't recommend enough!

Best hostel I have stayed in so far! The staff is super friendly and helpful. They can also arrange various trips to the natural wonders nearby. The beds are very comfy and you have a lot of privacy with the darkening curtains. The hostel is also very clean, I couldn't find any negative points.
The location is in a quiet neighborhood, which I liked. It is a little bit further from the main sights of the city, but grab is very convenient and cheap.
Also try the Ruca cafe next door, they have some amazing bbq chicken!

Hands down one of the best hostels I’ve ever been too. The service is incredible, the girls at reception are so nice, so warm and so happy to help you with whatever you need. They’ve got recommendations on recommendations.
The beds are super clean, and in the dorm, you’ve got your own space. The ceilings are super high too, so you feel like you’ve basically got your own room.
Location is super central too. Would ++ recommend.

Top quality hostel well located in the center of Malang. Beds are extremely confortable and provide a lot of space to unpack. Cleanliness is top notch, bathrooms are big and has hot water shower. There is free coffee, tea and water. Ultimately, staff is extremely adorable and ready to help at anytime. I joined the 3D2N tour including waterfall and 2 volcanoes with their partner company and it was super well organized. I would definitely recommend for anyone to stay there to explore Malang and as an excellent starting point to explore the very East of Java island.
