I can't begin to describe how good Hotel Tugu is.
Not only is Malang the coolest city in the world, that is the complete package.

The hotel is actually a museum. The granddaughter of a 19th century Chinese sugar baron, an internationally renowned elegant lady, transformed it from her home shortly before her 100th birthday.

I stayed in this Hotel for my Malang Trip on December 16th to 19th 2025. Such a Good place to Stay overall.

I recently stayed at Hotel Whiz Prime Malang and overall it was a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Shalimar in Malang. It’s like stepping back in time, but with a modern, very comfortable twist. The room was beautiful and spacious — a good bed, a nice shower.

From the moment I arrived at The 1O1 Malang OJ, everything about my stay was a pleasure.

All the staffs are very nice and warm in serving you.
I had important event to attend, so I request to get early check in before the event at the reception.

The best part about this property is strategic location.
Pretty decent room and the bathroom is recently renovated.
Service is meh, barely any services.

The rooms are spacious with good lighting. The staff are friendly, good but small parking lots. Toiletries are not complete but acceptable.

The Snooze Hostel Malang has very spacious, clean and comfortable rooms as well as plenty of cozy spots in the common area.

The hostels operated by Snooze are of impeccable quality. I stayed at the ReVive by Snooze in Banyuwangi and the latest Snooze in Malang.

I was very satisfied with the service at this location. From arrival to completion, everything was smooth and professional.

I read the review before book for a night. Yes the room and what's inside is old but for the price, there is nothing to complaint. Walkable to stasiun Malang.

I recommend every body try to stay this hotel. The Old Artistic Hotel bring we to remember Javanese Culture.

If you like clean place this is the place to stay. The design is very modern and you get you own private room. For the price it is great.

Great place to stay on a budget or for a clean environment. If you have a noisy neighbour this is not so good as the walls are very thin. Not any room to unpack or store clothes in most rooms.

Ijen Suites Malang is a true urban oasis! 🌿 The location is posh and peaceful, right in the city’s heart.

Decent hotel in a good location, near alun alun malang, Ijen boulevard, and diverse malang local food cuisines.

So, we loved it here! We stayed for 7 days in a private room with shared bathroom. No complaints, the staff was amazing and helped us with all our questions.

We loved everything about our stay!
We stayed in the private AC room, which had a lovely loft and window to look at the city. It was clean, cozy and comfortabele.

Stayed at Merbabu Guest House and overall had a good experience. The rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable, and the included breakfast was delicious.

Very friendly staff. Good location and good breakfast. Very clean rooms, just the bathroom was a bit outdated.

An amazing stay in Malang! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I stayed at Butik Capsule Hotel during my trip to Malang and couldn’t have made a better choice.

The room is very nice, good value for money. Staff is helpful and smiling. Location is perfect, close to railway station.

Where do I start?
I arrived early in the morning since my train came in early and they kindly allowed me to check in early, considering I was carrying heavy luggage. That was already a huge relief!

Best location in Malang!
Just a short walk to Kayutangan and Alun2.
Staff were great.
Clean shower room and bedroom with cool AC.
Kopitiam just next door.

It's worth the money.
First the room : it's clean, doesn't have an odd odor (in my and sister's room at least), tidy and comfy.

The guest bedroom is clean. There are a lot of cafes around the hotel, it is a very strategic location. And the morning breakfast is great!
