MADOR Malang Dorm Hostel

Spent some amazing 3 days discovering East Java with Mador Hostel. The group was great, the guides we had were amazing too, especially the one from the waterfalls and our driver Rama was always full of energy. The tour ran really smoothly overall!

I can’t comment on the actual hostel. But I’ve just finished the 3 days tour East Java tour with them and I can’t recommend it enough! Everything was so well organised, communication and accommodation great. Special shoutout to Prince herri our driver, who kept the vibes high with his tunes and laughs. Our local guides at every stop were also fantastic — thank you Bang bang, Rafa and addi, you all made our trip!

I had an amazing stay at this hostel. Everything was spotless and well-organized, and the staff were absolutely lovely—super friendly and always willing to help. I also booked the 3-day tour through them and it was incredible: perfectly organized, everything included, and our driver, Bondan, was a solid 10/10. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

I didn't stay at the hostel, so I'm only rating the 3D2N East Java Tour. Everything was well organised, our driver Bondan was amazing! Such a warm and informative guy. He told us many interesting things about the culture and just how locals live. The bus was comfortable enough.
I booked the dorm option and the accommodations were great, the beds were comfy, everything was clean and well kept. The food was also very good.
Be prepared for sleep depravation but it's all worth it! The views are one of the best in my life!
They also help you arrange the trip to your next destination!

Good: Staff was super helpful in helping us book the Bromo tour — offered great price as well and everything went great — totally recommend.
We booked the room just to have someplace to rest before the tour and it was great: comfy bed and clean room. Bathroom was quite clean as well, though we did not use the showers. For the price, great option.
Not so good: Can be a bit noisy if you have bad luck and the people in the bunks are making some noise, as they are right next to the rooms. There isn't a window in the room.
The location is good if you are just coming and going for the tours, but maybe would pick another area if you are planning to stay some days in Malang.

I didn’t stay in the hospital but I took the 3 day tour. My driver Wahyu was a really nice guy. Very friendly and he always made sure everyone was good. We had 27 people in our group. Usually I don’t take tours (especially with big groups) but I really enjoyed myself. The 3 locations were great, the guides were always nice. The price is very fair, especially as it included a drop off in Bali (I went to Ubud). I would definitely recommend the tour. Only negatives: some people got sick after lunch on day 2. You won’t get much sleep on the tour, I slept probably 4 hours average each night. Some people slept in the van but it’s not easy if you have a bad seat / when the road is bumpy.

Had a great stay here but I also booked their 3D2N tour package to mount bromo, mount ijen and tumpak sewu. It was a great experience the food was good quality and the drivers and local guides are super helpful. Especially driver Wahyu.

It was the best planned tour we have been on. We were always the First to the Places and also the First to leave to avoid Traffic.

I recently did the 3 days, 2 night East Java tour and had an amazing time. The tour was so organised and the drivers were so lovely. I went solo and it was so sociable with a lovely group of people. Will recommend this to everyone, thank you.

I booked the 3D2N Java trip. I had such such good time. The waterfalls on day one were really impressive, and the guides took soooo good pictures. For mount Bromo I think we sat a bit too long just around in the morning waiting for the sunrise, but the hiking afterwards and the jeep tour were so much fun, wow. And my highlight for sure was day 3 mount ijen with the bluefire. The hike is a bit of a challenge, but I love that. The group was very nice and all the guides, too. The drivers especially at the first hostel were in such a good mood for karaoke Hahahh.
The only thing, these are always extremely long rides in the car, but I guess everything is very far apart — but remember to bring a hoodie into the car, the aircon is extremely cold.

We stayed at the hostel for one night before joining the 3D2N tour. The hostel is comfortable, clean, and offers great value for the price. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and spoke English well. The tour itself was perfectly organised — although we didn’t get much sleep, it was absolutely worth it! The experience was unforgettable. Someone recommended the tour to us and I will definitely be recommending it to my friends as well.

I stayed at the hostel one night before my 3D2N tour with them. The hostel is nice and clean and the bed in the dorm very comfortable. The tour is amazing, very well organized and with nice guides and company. Prepare to be sleepless for 3 days but it is totally worth it!

We stayed one night at the hostel before joining the three-day tour of East Java they organized. The hostel is clean, comfortable, and has a lovely garden. The tour was perfectly organized down to the smallest detail, and the prices are very reasonable compared to the average. Our drivers, Tile and Heri, were kind and always helpful, taking care of everything we needed. It was a unique and special experience – we highly recommend it to everyone!

What a place! Couldn’t recommend enough! Me and my partner stayed in a private room which was very clean and spacious.
We then did the three day tour that MADOR offer for by far the best price and it was the best thing we could’ve done. The three days were absolutely amazing and was hard to put into words. Everything was planned and ready for us for when it was needed. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Just finished the three day tour the hostel offers to Tumpak Sewu, Mount Bromo, and Injek Volcano and could not fault it. The whole trip was so well organised… the weather was awful throughout the whole Injek trek and we still finished the trip in fits of laughter — testimony to the positive attitude of the Mador crew. The hostel beds were so comfortable and the staff were so nice. We also did the East Java tour with them and it was literally incredible! All of the guides were so lovely and the accommodation was lush and the food was delicious! Such good value for money.

Definitely book the 3D tour with them! A highlight of our entire 5 month South East Asia trip. Such good value, with food, accommodation and even Bali transfers included at the end of the trip.
They are super organised and responsive and Bondan kept us well informed throughout the entire trip.
Couldn’t recommend enough :)
