Charmed & Delighted.
Our stay at the Varscona was just right. Staff were genuinely welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and modern. Bed was crisp and comfortable. AC was faultless.

I had a recent long-stay here due to a series of medical appointments at the U of A.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, room was clean, bed was comfortable.

Love this hotel! Had such a good time doing karaoke, they even let us stay for hours past check out. Kind people kind staff clean place. ……….

Haha.

Had an excellent stay. Very convenient location next to highway one. Room was perfect temperature. Sandhu at the front desk was very accommodating.

The hotel was very conveniently located near the hwy at the entrance to Medicine Hat. The suite was very big, comfortable and clean.

Hourum, the front desk manager, was the reason our stay was incredible.

If you want to go have some fun and win some money this is the place to go. Just like every casino winning is tough but in return you get great dealers, amazing pit bosses and a fun atmosphere.

My wife and I stayed here mid May 2026 and the hotel was better than I expected. (with all respect)
My 2nd floor room was very clean — although furniture was a little sparse.

In spite of being very near to the airport and next to a fire station this place was remarkably quiet. Very comfortable. Room was clean. Front desk staff were helpful.

I had a good overall experience at Grid 5 Apartments. The building is modern, clean, and well-maintained. The units are stylish and comfortable, and the amenities are a great bonus.

I’ve had a positive experience living at Grid 5 Apartments since 2024. The location is very convenient, right in downtown Calgary, with easy access to transit, restaurants, and shops.

I stayed at this hotel during a short business trip and was really impressed. The staff were polite and welcoming, and my room was spotless, fresh, and very comfortable.

I had a very pleasant experience after spending a couple of nights at this hotel! The first thing that impressed me was the politeness and helpfulness of the staff.

I can't understand that this place only has a 3.8 star raiting.
The rooms are small but tidy and clean and you can see that the owners put effort into them looking nice and up to date.

I’m really not sure what all of the negative reviews are about. I had an amazing experience staying here for 3 nights. Didn’t find the rooms to be that small at all.

Very nice overall here.
Very friendly and luckily a quiet room!
If not cheap sausage as meat option and if not just cold shower and no soap at hot tub, this would be 5 stars.

The hotel is very nice. Great swimming pool and hot tub. We didnt have a chance to eat at the restaurant.

Wonderful kind desk staff. Always makes for a nice visit.
Very clean hotel.
Beds were super comfortable — no lumpy pillows as other reviews had said.
Pool was clean and big, kids had fun.

All good. Newly renovated room, clean and quiet. Heated garage.
Only thing I would like to be better is shower water flow can be stronger or replace shower head?

The front office manager Lita was delightful 😊. Very helpful and genuinely interested in solving any issues. Keep up the good work.

What a wonderful place. The Big Cheese running this joint is the nicest, kindest, most helpful guy I have met. The TV is bigger then other places I have been.

For the price this is a great place. Nothing special but everything was clean and Sal was a great host. There were a couple little things that were annoyances but not large problems.

Everything was great. Friendly staff, good breakfast, need stronger coffee.
Room was great, TV options were good, had lots of choices once I figured out how to work the tv.

We booked a last minute stay and Sukhdeep was absolute amazing. She was very friendly and authentic.

Stopped in here on our way to Alaska, last year we made the mistake of staying at some boutique hotel in Grande Prairie, so we chose the Best Western, they are doing some remodeling, updating to the

Getting renovated during my stay so I imagine the interior will be a lot nicer in the coming weeks, breakfast was amazing! Not great parking options for bigger trucks or trucks with trailers.

Nice place to spend the night. Clean rooms and comfortable beds.

The cleanliness and the maintenance of the property is on point!.
Nothing to complain about.

Compensation for our troubles.

I had to call in to check for room availability at 4pm. I was told there was only a mobility accessible room available.

Doesn't look like much on the outside but the rooms are clean and the beds super comfy. Reasonable price and they allow dogs. The staff are super nice.

Was looking for a cheap place to stay for the night. I was a little hesitant given how old the place looked, however after arriving the staff were friendly and the room was clean.
