OK for overnighter but not recommended for an extended stay. Pillows are hard as rocks. Linen wasn't changed. Beds weren't made. Keys were disabled by phones.

Took a trip out here for mother's day with my mom. First time at the hotel and I was VERY impressed. The staff from the second we walked in was amazing. Brendan was very helpful when my mom locked herself out of our room TWICE. We went to the lounge for dinner 2 nights in a row and had a wonderful time and our server Larissa was amazing (she even took pictures with our flat ppl). The last night we went to The Ridge and Fletcher helped us out and was great! The food was soooo good too and huge portion sizes. Had the pool and hot tub to ourselves on multiple occasions. The casino was fun (even if I left all my money there lol) although a little smokey as you're allowed to smoke inside. Overall, it was an amazing trip and I'll be back with my mom, my husband, my kids, my friends … everyone!

Love that they have truck parking. So drivers stay respectful and keep your garbage in your truck not in their parking lot. Really nice casino. Lots of choice slot and table games. Will absolutely stop every chance I get. 💕💕

The rooms are awesome and the food.

We personally really enjoy the staff, one person in particular stands out, Phil who provided us entertainment as well as serving us lunch and beverages. Phil was very friendly, extremely funny and very intuitive. He made our quick stop for lunch at Sidelines a very entertaining experience. Thanks Phil, keep being you! Love it.

The hotel itself was very nice, clean and staff welcoming. Once we were in the casino we noticed some people were wearing masks, some weren't about 50/50. My hubby was asked by Security to put his mask on properly as he had it down while we were at a machine. So he wore it properly for the rest of the night. Didn't see anyone else asked to comply and so many weren't even wearing them improperly, just not at all. Very poor consistency on the mask wearing issue. Otherwise nice place to be.

We originally booked 2 nights in a junior suite and were able to upgrade to the jacuzzi suite upon check in. Your staff have all been top notch, friendly and just so nice to deal with! We have had such a great time, we’ve decided to extend our stay for a third night! Thank you for the amazing little staycation!

We were excited about our stay here but sadly left disappointed! We had booked a jacuzzi room for two nights. Check-in was great with a friendly girl. The room definitely needs some work. Beat up furniture and cabinets. Burnt out light bulbs. Stained carpet. Very slow Wi-Fi. The pillows were hard as rock (someone would die in a pillow fight LOL! ). They don’t use fitted sheets on the bed. The top sheet they tuck in was constantly coming off. The bed is worn out with a huge sag in the middle. Our second day I asked the front desk if there was a thinner, lighter blanket they could send to our room. The girl at the desk looked at us blankly and said the only blankets in the hotel were the duvets provided. Overall in a hotel you want a good night sleep. This hotel fails in that aspect.

The friendly helpful staff. It is very clean and a great place to just relax. You can go lots of places around here, Banff, Canmore, Kananaskis and others.

Ordered some food tonight. I wanted a cheese burger and fries. Never recieved my order and both servers denied I ordered it. Payed 120.00 for everything and never had my meal. Terrible service.

It's a beautiful place to stay, beautiful scenery. Nice people. Very very helpful. Quick and reliable. I love this place my Fourth time here n I love it.

The food in the restaurant was tasty and presented very nicely. At the time we were there only two wait staff were working so they were rushing here and there. The atmosphere is calm and the walls are adorned with beautiful paintings. We’ll definately stop in again.

Had a wonderful time. The rooms are so spacious and the service is great. The girl at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. Best buffet dinner for such a reasonable price.

Always a good time here! At the reception we were always greeted with the smiles. Rooms are fairly clean. Staff at the Casino is great, bartenders and waiters/waitresses are fast. Food comes in big portions at reasonable price and everything tastes awesome. My husband and I come once a year for the past 3 years and we plan to continue the tradition for a very long time!

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. Especially the cost of rooms compared to any hotel around! We had a function in Calgary but preferred to stay here. The beautiful mountain scenery and air added another plus! We’ll be back!

Stopped there in the rig due to heavy snowfall. Manager offered a lounge area we could relax in (with our dog) while we were there. Ate three meals while there and the food was tasty. No luck in the casino tho. Will definitely be back. Next time will be for fun and relaxation!

I eat in the bar area when I come here and service is always great. The food is really wholesome and tasty as well. Their chilli is delicious! Drinks are reasonably priced. The only kicker is that smoking is permitted in the eating area. Be prepared to change he tables if that bothers you.

I've been to the prime rib and seafood buffet a number of times now. The layers was very good. Prime rib was great, lobster tails were moist and dessert was on point. The last couple times everything was a bit dry but greatly improved!

Plenty of parking and a very nice facility. We were only there for lunch but the staff and service were both terrific. Prices were comparable to a standard dine-in restaurant and the food was pretty good (chicken clubhouse was particularly great). I can't speak for any of the other amenities or rooms, etc. But wouldn't hesitate to try it out if we find ourselves looking for a place to stay in the area sometime. Either way, I would return to the restaurant for a bite to eat… It would make a good stop for dinner on the way back toward Calgary after a day in the mountains since it is located so easily to access right off the highway.

The hotel is awesome. The rooms are very well appointed and big! Beds are very comfortable. Pool and waterslide are fun and clean. The food here is amazing. I cant say enough about the staff. Everyone is always friendly. Casino is smallish… but still lots of fun.

Love this place been going here every chance I can get for a few years now. However the last time this last time I was at the Side Lines lounge there was only 1 waitress on. She was being over worked and she was stressed out so the service wasn’t very prompt or super friendly as usual.

After a long day of hiking we stopped by for the buffet. We enjoyed the selection of food and friendly service. Value for money was also pretty good. Nice resort and relaxing experience after a busy day in the mountains! We will return again hopefully some time soon.

Asked for a cot at 10 pm. Did not get it until 1:30 am. We were fine paying the $10 fee for the cot but the night auditor front desk man was rude and had the nerve to say I was a liar. He claimed I told him room "178". We were staying in room 320. Nowhere close to 178. He even took the elevator with me and he got off of second floor and seen me going to third floor. We were not impressed by this at all. Otherwise beautiful room and nice casino. Great restaurant staff.

Can’t go wrong with their prime rib and lobster night. The food is great, has a fair amount of varieties for your to choose from. The service is just okay. The floor is okay clean, not very impressed. But again, for this price with lobster and prime ribs, love it!

Casino Buffet breakfast ok, but no microwave oven, you want to drink hot milk or count.

Nice views and spacious rooms! The pool and hot tub were nice as well. Breakfast was just okay but definitely could've been better. It was a surprise to find out that you have to pay for drinks inside the casino and the property could be maintained better — our coffee machine had a lot of dust.

We got there fairly early. Killed some time, had fun. Will be back.

Room was nice and clean. Checkin was quick and we were able to get a late checkout. Brunch was good but the chef stopped making bacon at around 10 which I thought wasnt professional. Think he was too lazy to make more. Some of the cleaners were goofing around making jokes so they could've been more professional as well.

Nice view of the mountains! Clean room and nice amenities. They also offer free hot buffet breakfast. Great service for the most part! Not giving five stars because of this one employee's reaction towards one of the guests that I overheard during breakfast. The guest asked for more milk for the cereal bar since it was empty. She replied with "just give me one sec. I can only do one thing at a time" pretty rude for a customer service job…

Very windy in evening. Casino awesome. Nice wins day and night. Nicer if it were in the Thousands, had to grind to get up to couple gs but had fun with the nephew and my Wife. Even seen a small white wolf. Aho.

The location was great for going to Nakiska resort. The room was clean and service was good. The breakfast buffet was quite good and they handled a very large group just before we got there without running out of things.

As a whole, the resort is nice, if nothing special with a great view out side. The rooms are good, and the complementary breakfast was great — — the highlight of the visit. They have a pool, workout room, and even a gaming room, but I didn't try them out. Service in the restaurant was okay, but they didn't check to see if we needed refills or if anything was wrong with our order until our meal was almost finished — — about an hour.

It's a casino and a hotel with nothing else around for miles. If you like smoking this is your place as you can smoke in it. Casino is ok with mostly older machines. Never started in the hotel but I've heard mixed things. Never are there either. Good pit stop to get your gambling fix. They're building a fuel station right now but given the distance to Canmore or Calgary not sure it will be used much.

Nice mid-sized casino along Highway 1. The Friday prime rib and lobster tail buffet was pretty excellent though also quite busy. Unfortunately the buffet attracts a lot of families with small children, meaning that if something is within eye level for a child, it's probably best not to eat it (I watched a little girl take a slice of cake with her hands). Regardless, the food itself was quite excellent. The buffet includes a drink and plenty of soda, which is always a nice bonus.

Good layout, easy to navigate and nice sports bar although I did not have the food (just passing through). Also the bathrooms were nice and clean, and there is plenty of parking. Lots of staff that seem friendly, and nothing really down on it accept maybe the location depending on what you are looking for. Would be a good place to stay if skiing at Nakiska.

This place is terrible. Why are people allowed to smoke inside? I thought the law in Canada banned smoking inside? Was told it is because it is native casino. Sorry but it is common knowledge what third hand smoking does to others… We stopped to eat lunch and the restaurant is non smoking but you can smell smoke throughout the facility. Food service was very slow. Over 45 mins to get OK food. Won't ever stop here again.

I was there yesterday and was very impressed. The staff was very friendly and professional. The food was amazing. I will definitely be back. Well worth the drive from Calgary.

Its a nice little, mostly lightly populated casino with VERY helpful and tolerant table staff of you're new to gaming. Great service in dining area. A great chill out casino experience and if you stay, my God, you get a great night's sleep and a kick ass Kananaskis view! Good breakfast spread too!

I did not go there, just in the parking lot for the view of the beginning of the Rockies.

Visiting this place on weekends for an awesome lobster and ribs buffet. The price includes 1 domestic beer or glass of wine. They open from 5pm to 9pm but it's better to go there earlier. Because a few times during later hours they were out of some food.

Warning, if you stay here you will be disappointed *** The sound travels through each room, if you do stay here never get a room near the pool as it doesn’t close until 11 and you hear everything. The shower was moldy, only had 2 towels and smelt like my old gym socks. At 3 AM I had to go into the hallway and tell two drunk idiots to stop knocking on their buddy’s door, I called security and the front desk and gave them 30 minutes to stop these guys from making a ruckus, they never came … Took over an hour to get room service to come, and the food was sub par. When walking to your room you can see dry wall patches all over the place from people punching the wall, again, more drunk idiots. This might be a good place if you’re working out there and need a quick place to sleep, but don’t EVER bring your family here, they will be disappointed just as mine was. Not only was it discusting but we felt unsafe and couldn’t sleep.

The food at buffet was amazing. Loved the selection they had. The lobster and steak was really delicious. Had a bit of everything and I thought it was all good. It was my second time coming here and I will definitely be coming back.

I can only give three stars max… The buffet for dinner was just ok, some things were hit and miss. I do appreciate the fact that an alcoholic drink was included in the price though. Dessert was great. The rooms were also just alright. I liked the big bathroom, but I simply don't understand the stand-up shower that's beside the tub… The linens in our room could have been better, there were what looked like oil stains (I hope) on the curtains and the bedding. Breakfast was the best part. They made the scrambled eggs with real eggs which is always a nice touch when going to a buffet and the hash browns were cooked to perfection. The only feedback I feel the need to give about the breakfast was the inconsistencies in the taste of the coffee and the temperature of the coffee and hot water for tea.

Nice hotel. Very low key, dinner was good. Had to prime rib buffet, would have been better if there had been a Gluten Free desert option for adults (not jello and ice cream) the pool was nice, the hot tub jets didn’t seem to work which was a disappointment. The room and the hotel were both clean and the view of the mountains beautiful. The breakfast buffet was good (glad to was free) the GF options were clearly labeled which was nice. All and all a nice place and we will come back.

Hi, just want to say thanks for the fantastic stay at the Stney Nakoda Resort. We were there in the later part of September, stayed for two enjoyable night, and it was a wonderful expeirience. The room, we had was a guest suite on the 4th floor, very spacious and clean, the 2 separate bathrooms were an awesome touch, being there were 3 of us. Furnishing could use a little updating, but that was not an issue. Staff wre very accomadating, and friendly, keeping in mind, a few new recruits were hired, days prior to a visit, a little patience from both patron and employee made our visit complete and very enjoyable. Meals were very flavorable, breakfast buffets had a great assortment, steak sandiwch was simply awesome, appetizers huge and delicious. We did not take in the awimming area, but did tour partions of the resort, all which was very clean, and a very friendly staff, in housekeeping and through out the resort. WE did not have a mountain view, but from the 4th floor east of the mountain veiw our was still awesome. Watched the helicopters load and land contiually thru there running hours. Casino had a grand assortment of slot and cards games, enjoyed the sporting lounge for horase racing and football. Ray, Dixie, and Dawna give this resort a 5 Star plus rating, and hope to be back next year or in the near future, Thank you Stoney Nakoda for an Ultimate Vacation stay of 2 days… Simply loved it""""""

We got there late. Staff was courteous. Room was spacious and ok. Breakfast buffet included. Nice touch. Wish we could have looked around more. Nice artwork around.

Our room was big enough for a family of ‍‍‍ Clean, high ceiling, seperate tub and shower, big TV, free breakfast. We got the play and stay package because its way cheaper plus they give you 40bucks play credit!
The other room, got it with the romance package (again its cheaper) its the jacuzzi suite with big seperate bed and living room with jacuzzi tub, standard washroom. Used this to accomodate friends that celebrated with me! We are laughing a bit loud and never get a knock on the door to shut us up (which we always get in other hotel) Cant hear anything from outside, I am so surprised!
Originally planned to book the Party Room but unfortunately too much for my budget with 2 rooms and buffet already on top so didnt get it! It has pool table (which I Like) and thats all I can say as I didnt experience this room for me to say anything. I might come back next year for party room.

Called reservation number a week before arrival. I requested king bed in a quiet area in a non smoking room. I did advise the concierge we would be arriving late and to hold booking. We arrived to resort (? ) at 8 pm. We were greeted by both clerks on cell phones with no interest in serving us. We were booked into a room on the 4th floor, two queen beds in a smoking room. When we called the front desk to ask for a different room we were told that facility had no other rooms available. My husband went down to front desk to inquire in person and was told again no other rooms available but that they would come spray our room and open the window. We went into casino for an hour and returned to our room to find our keys invalidated. Down to the front desk again to be told "ya it happens". Will not ever recommend or stay in this "resort" again.

Clean, comfortable room. Supper buffet was good. People had to wait standing in line 20 minutes to get their lobster however. Luckily we don't eat lobster so did not affect us. Breakfast the next morning (included) was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Tried to book ahead but website was not working. Paid 197.06 for the room. Now see one on Anoma for $98 — aggravating! Expected to pay more because of not booking ahead but this is a big difference especially since we (and most people) leave a great deal of money behind in the casino. We would stay again. Please fix your website booking system.

Went for the dinner buffet. The food was decent enough. Long wait, an hour and a half before getting seated. Prime rib was good when fresh, but was dry in later servings. Lobster was a bit small but at least it was all you can eat. The side dishes were good too.

My husband and I spent our 1 year anniversary here last weekend! We were greeted at the front desk by the most fabulous Lino. He was welcoming, informative and very helpful with our bikes for the expected storm. We enjoyed our King size room with Champagne and strawberries complimentary of our Romance package. The room was clean, cool and had amazing views of Yamnuska and a number of other great mountain views. We enjoyed dinner at the pub where Laura took kindly to meeting our needs, both gluten free and vegetarian as well as carnivorous activity. She was on point with service, recommendations and overall hospitality. We truly enjoyed our time here, all staff were very friendly and respectful. The gift shop has some great treasures to buy which we will always carry in our vests while riding. Some great local artistry covers the walls and is sold here. Breakfast, both the buffet and menu were delicious! We plan to make this a yearly tradition if not visit more often, such a great getaway and close to Calgary. Thank you to all the staff at Stoney Nakoda for making our weekend unforgettable.

Went for the lobster & prime rib buffet. Food was great for the price. Comes with unlimited pop or a glass of wine or beer which is nice. Staff is super friendly. Make sure you go early or late to avoid the line. They don't take reservations.

Bad attitude lady at the front desk. Even though the manager was very attentive and allowed us to check in early, the experience with this woman was a total turn off and outweighed all the good. The restaurant charged someone else's meal to our room even before we had arrived to the hotel, so when I complained she kept saying that the voucher had my signature (even though it was completely different to mine) and that I was liying. After 10 minutes of dispute and her voice levels becoming increasingly loud, I left and decided to try calling next day and talk to the manager directly.

Great value. The breakfast was great, hot tub and slide were awesome. Did however seem light on staff particularly over the long weekend.

The price was great but the soundproofing of the rooms was poor so it was hard to sleep at night between the smell of cigarettes and the sound of the toilets from floors above us flushing and rushing through our wall and the people talking in the hallway. The food is pretty good for gluten free though. No option for the wings or ribs are actually gluten free when I checked with the kitchen even though it is marked gluten free. The buffets were awesome! And accomodating of gluten free needs.

Everything about this place is terrible. The building and rooms sink of cigarette smoke. The front desk staff are rude and unhelpful. The restaurant food is gross. The rooms have ripped sheets and garbage on the floor. The showers have mold. They put extra charges on our bill for food ordered by someone a day prior to us checking in.

It was great! Excellent value for the size of room, great buffet, and fun pool. The only downside was that as a non-smoker, I could smell the cigarette smoke the moment I walked in the door and it was very obvious in the casino. I'm assuming they have a smoking area indoors in the casino, but didn't really venture that far to find out.

The food is decent, the prices are not bad, but the service always seems to be terribly slow. Lots of gluten-free options on the menu. Tried the gluten-free bread with the California Chicken sandwich — was better than I expected (toasted — was like a crusty white bread). Check the web site for their daily restaurant specials — they have something different for each day of the week, with buffets on the weekend.

The rooms were really clean and nice. The pool was nice with a big hot tub. Great location right near the mountains, Canmore and Banff. The buffet was good (we had the Lobster and Prime rib). The smoking in the casino is the worst part, it's really nice but smells awful.

Nice location and easy to get to. Service however, is shockingly bad. Would never stay here as a guest. Saying service was poor would be giving them more credit than they are due. Example: we were standing at the front desk for 10 minutes while the two staff stood there chatting away ignoring every customer around them.

Stopped in on the way back to Calgary to visit the casino. Nice and clean casino, and the people were friendly. If it were closer to home we would go more often — don't get out that direction much…

This is a decent hotel. The restaurant food was delicious, and the prices was good, but there was a long wait. The rooms were clean and nice, although the separate shower was a but dirty near the ridges. The pool is nice with a good, standard hotel waterslide. Overall a decent hotel. We stopped here as a stop on the way to go skiing, and it worked well for the cause.

Good alternative to booking in Canmore. Good front desk service, clean and priced properly. We had a small discrepancy in billing. But it was our fault. They corrected the error and are refunding the small difference. Great family hotel and dog friendly. We will stay here again and highly recommend it to our friends.

We spent xmas here the front staff was excellent and the girls in the restaurant were also very good the room they gave us was excellent the only thing we missed was there was no buffet during our stay we old folks would strongly recommend this place Looking forward to the Xmas dinner tonight.

I used to work here, and im personally suprised more people haven't gotten sick. Food is terrible and food sanitation is the lowest concern. Please I advise you not to ever eat there.

Large rooms, great deal for dinner buffet. Almost lost our table because the guy at front wrote down wrong number for pager. The smoke in the casino is disgusting and can smell it in the lobby of the hotel.

Fantastic Hotel, grows on you like a wonderful song you could hear time and time again. The rooms are appointed far above what they charge for. The staff has been good to both myself and my crew of men that had the pleasure of staying all summer with. It is a laid back atmosphere that caters to common sense and reasonable requests from its customers. Rv's are welcome in the parking lot and can have full use of the services and amenities of the hotel. The casino is lively and is a non pressure atmosphere. The outside landscaping is totally natural fitting in with the pure environment of its lovely surroundings. The restaurant serves real food cooked with the love and passion. The buffet's are a real deal and offer the people a great value and quality. Pets are welcomed and appreciated. The laundry facility is first class and reasonably priced. The pool and gym are more than you asked for being bright fresh and very well taken care of. Beware of the people giving this hotel 1 star as they are spoiled little brats that no one could please anyway. This hotel is very welcoming and nice to stay in.

The worst. We booked and were charged for a superior room but were put in a lower end room without explanation. When we realized what had been done I went to the desk and they said they were full and that both rooms cost the same so they put us in the available one. Finally after complaining they moved us to the correct room. Then came night time. We had no blanket or pillow for the pull-out bed. When we requested them we were told that they were full and that they had no more blankets. After quite a fuss they finally arrived with a second SHEET. Not a blanket. When I went to the front desk and complained the man suggested that I would be asked to leave if I kept complaining. I said that I didn't even think it legal to rent a hotel room without a blanket or pillow and perhaps I should call the police. Finally a woman came out of the back and said that someone would be up with a duvet. About 15 minutes later we received the duvet with the comment "here's your duvet". She was angry and it was very apparent that she was annoyed. Not one person said that they were sorry. And we were charged extra for the pull-out couch. What a nightmare!

Disgusting food, HORRIBLE service, smelly rooms, bad catering, blackjack dealer was wasted. Worst hotel ever and I've had the displeasure to stay here twice. Second time equally as horrible as the first time.

Well, if my short experience with this establishment was any indication of their service then I will not be turning off the hi-way to find out. I was unable to track down their restaurants menu online but was instead transferred to a mobile booking site when trying to view their main website. The full website option was also not an option as this link did not work. So not initially thwarted by their lack of being compatible with the day and age I called. I called the main desk to an answer of ignorance and a shrug on the topic. I was then forwarded to the restaurant with much the same result; plus the offer of being forwarded to the front desk as they would be able to help me out. Not wanting to be the ping pong ball on a game of I don't know ping pong I declined and kept driving. Looks like i'll be dining in Calgary. I have a feeling I didn't miss out on much; and happy not to have known.

Stopped in for a meal and to check it out on the way back from Kananaskis. Food and drink were good and inexpensive. If you aren't gambling a pint of beer at the bar will set you back about $3. Need I say more.

Nice hotel that is about 30 minutes from downtown Banff. The Wi-Fi worked well for us and the front desk took care of a couple of minor problems we had. The pool and exercise room looked small for a hotel this size so we didn't use them. The breakfast buffet is adequate if you don't expect a "Vegas Buffet" type of spread.

We went out for supper at Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino because of the two for one buffet deal on Thursdays. The food is warm and very good. I found myself going back for seconds. One thing to note is that you must have your ski pass on you in order to receive the two for one deal. I would certainly go back because you can't go wrong with the price.

Clean good sized rooms, hotel well laid out, nice pool area, smallish gym. Front desk staff a bit "hit and miss" with a few items, but overall OK. Restaurant staff worked hard to please guests. Wi-Fi too weak to use, so ask for a cable from the front desk! Overall a decent place to stay within easy reach of Canmore etc, just don't expect every detail to be perfect.
