For starters way too many people given this place a bad review… Yes, it’s an older Hotel, but people like Victorian style homes too, so I don’t see the problem with that?

The reviews here are wild, this hotel is fine.
Is it a step down from what the Ramada branding is usually applied to? Yes, but it's also a fraction of the price that Ramada usually runs you.

Good motel self but lacks service you have to do your own cleaning and ask for what u need other than that it's ok.

This place is wonderful! We stayed here for a couple nights with our dog. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean and beds are super comfortable. We would love to stay here again. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at Pier One Resort in Lagoon City. The atmosphere was serene, with a lovely beach and clean rooms that made for a truly relaxing experience.

We stayed here while the rest of our family camped near by at Black River.

It would be hard to beat the location, right on Lake Nipissing. Incredible sunrises, lots of activities on the water, direct access to a beach that stretches to the nearby conservation area.

Little places like this are lost gems! Sure it’s old… bathroom is 50’s (which I like) and rest is, well… not modern. But it’s right on the lake!

I recently stayed here and was very impressed with the quietness and the warmth in the rooms especially during the cold we've been experiencing recently… I'll definitely be back.

The room I seen was nice and clean people are nice and prime location where lots of store around and fast food restaurants.

Had a great night, very clean and comfortable! The staff were incredibly friendly! Best of all it was super affordable and pet friendly! 10/10 would stay again!

Modest Ink smell coming from some corners of the room. I was asked not to use my 3 in one Lexmark printer/scanner/copier after the hours of 1 am.

Ended up at the this hotel and thinking I would stay one night.

Needed spray paint. Got excellent service, wide selection and good advice. When one of the large cans I got wouldn’t work I came back n got help to fix the issue immediately. Really great store.

My sister and I stayed in the Bobcaygeon area from September 8th-11th, 2025. When we first arrived, there was an unfortunate mix-up with our accommodations at a nearby cottage.

We drove here specifically from Ottawa. The food is very good. We had the fish and chips as well and hot wings.

Good for money. Staff very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. Beds a bit soft.

Room was good except the fridge hadn't been cleaned… leftover food still there. Room was good, bathroom not so much. Old and kind of dirty.

The staff there are non judgemental, accepting and ever so friendly! They work their buttons off and are always making sure you're happy.

I read the reviews with a grain of salt, and booked one night stay. Based on the location and price I had my exectations already set.

My son took a residence at Pitman hall in a single room this school year.

I’ve lived and worked in this building for 3 years. The best dorm in my opinion. It gets a bad rap for being old and grunge which it is but it really gives a fun dorm aesthetic.

Excellent campground. Very reasonable price. Great owners.

We have not stayed in the rooms but they are all being renovated. The campground is great, well run and right in town.

It was my first time in London, and the American Plaza Motel was such a great find! The front desk person was very kind to check me in late evening without a reservation.

I love The American, one of the few places that are down to earth. They do everything they can to really make it convenient for you, flexible and accommodating. Great place to stay anytime!

Grad trip booking:
As a final graduation trip we booked 6 cabins for a 30 person stay, and we would do it again in a heartbeat.

I have stayed at Alton Lodges many times for the past 12+ years and always had a perfect experience. The owners are awesome and friendly people.

Needed a place to stay long term very last minute owners were extremely accommodating. Super convenient location. Rooms are clean. Mine is fully equipped with a kitchen.

Rooms are okay not the newest but sleeps very comfortable. But the staff is amazing but the food is fantastic I was there for a week and the lady on Tuesday and Friday and Saturday she was amazing!
