Great hotel. Spacious room as we took the standard room (31m2) with separate shower, sink and toilet area. Staff was attentive, helpful and can understand English very well.

I haven’t had such an amazing experience at a hotel before. Hotel Emion may be a 3-star hotel but it feels like a 5-star hotel with 10/10 service from the staff.

We had such a good time here. We were a little reluctant because it outside of the city, we almost where going to cancel. Really glad we didn't the train station is close by and and also the bus stop.

Quiet yet convenient location with a beautiful park in the vicinity. Room is larg6and clean. Staff are warm and sincere, especially Ms Aina Sao, a housekeeper, and Alan, a waiter of the restaurant.

The service is top notch! I booked a room but couldn't stay due to a medical emergency and had to return home early. Yu No Yado Shoei was very kind.

Ryokan like dining with Japanese public hot baths. Rooms are traditional tatami floor mats and futons. Service front desk very efficient and helpful.

My stay at the Granvia was beautiful. The rooms, beds, pillows were so comfortable I didn't want to leave the room. Thankfully the beauty of Kyoto dragged me out!

​My friend was craving Thai food, and we were so glad to find this all-day dining spot. A huge plus is that their last order is at 21:30, which is perfect for a late dinner.

You can't get closer to Kyoto station unless you're in it. As soon as we got off the train, we were literally starting right at the building across the street.

Just next to Kyoto station and Avanti mall. There’s also a small 7 Eleven shop at the ground floor next to the main entrance.

This isn't a 3-star hotel. It totally deserves 4 stars! The room was huge, the service was super friendly, and it even has an onsen.

A new, clean, Japanese-style hotel with excellent service. The best thing about it is its location, right in the heart of Kyoto's train station.

The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station, which is very convenient. The single room is spacious enough to open two 28-inch suitcases at the same time. The place is extremely clean.

The room is not so small but not very sound proof. You can hear people in other rooms talk.
There's public bathroom with an onsen. I took a bath at 8PM but there was noone.

Stayed here for 4 nights with a Gate 1 Group Tour of Japan.
We were given a room on the 6th floor. We had a nice exterior view of the train yards. I do love trains.

Wonderful stay right next to Kyoto station so location was a big plus.

The staff was extremely nice, the rooms were very clean and even the supplies were organized. This was my first hotel in kyoto and I would definitely recommend it for any newcomers as well.

This is a very convenient hotel to stay in Kyoto. Kyoto Station is right opposite the hotel, and there are plenty of food options nearby.

We had a fabulous stay at hokkaikan Ohanabo in Kyoto. The location can’t be beat, it is both central and quiet at the same time.

We visited this place about 13 years ago and I believe there's an old review of mine here from back then. We had a lovely stay and we finally made it back 13 years later and with our kids this time!

The room we had was quite small, but the great design overcame this issue. It was nice to have a kitchenette and washing machine. Location is brilliant and staff were fantastic. Loved it.

We were allowed to check in two hours earlier than our check-in time which was greatly appreciated after a tiring travel day. The rooms were very tidy and the service was quick and professional.

This hotel is really exceptional in every way. The moment we entered the hotel, we were greeted by people to take out luggage and we were requested to put our shoes in lockers.

We had an incredible stay and can’t recommend this hotel enough. The atmosphere is so relaxing, the rooms are beautiful, and the food is top-notch.

It was a amazing experience to stay in Ryokan shimizu. Loved how quietly it was and the private bath was amazing. Had the chance to try calligraphy, I think I did well 😅.

We had a twin room which was spacious yet the bathroom was let's say usable. The shower was good. Breakfast for a westerner is limited.

Great hotel in a fantastic location. Only one block from the Kyoto train station. Beds are nice. The room is a decent size, especially for Japan.

The apartment was spacious and super clean. However, there are additional charges for everything, extra futon, coffee pod, car park (even though the apartment has a car park).

The house was very spacious and extremely clean. The owner was very helpful and friendly, and allowed us to enter early, so we could store our bags.

We had a wonderful surprise upon arriving at Towa Machiya Suite. It is truly a hidden gem nestled among temples. The staff were very cordial and attentive.

Cozy little Ryokan; highly Japanese in all respects. Small rooms with futon bed but once getting accustomed it's nice! Staff truly kind and gentle!
