The location in Asakusa is perfect, with easy access to public transport and many attractions within walking distance.

This place was absolutely amazing! The staff were so friendly, helpful, and fun! They make you feel like family. This is the place to stay if you’re in Tokyo, it’s in the perfect place in Asakusa.

Tokyo Guesthouse Itabashi-juku is very well located. The price has gone up a bit, but the staff at the front desk are always incredibly kind and welcoming. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

If I visit Tokyo again I will look to stay here again. It's relatively comfy for the price and the lounge area is exceptionally nice. Friendly staff as well.

Wise Owl Shibuya is very conveniently placed. I can bounce out of there to my needed stations with haste. The crew is superb and very welcoming.

They’re amazing! Even after I left! I got a situation with another hotel I must to came back for some help, the lady from reception helped me to find another placer where sleep.

Everyone at obi hostel was inviting, caring and friendly, I had a lot of fun at obi.

It's great option if you're travelling on a budget or only staying a night on your way out of Tokyo. Close to the Tsukuba metro exit.

Affordable accommodation for single travellers. Quiet, Clean, great ambiance and amazing location. Close to shopping, tourist attractions, cafe and restaurants.

A good budget stay in Tokyo ; clean and comfortable, the private rooms had a sink which is very much appreciated!

The hostel is very clean and has all the facilities one could need (laundry, storage, umbrella rental, free shampoo etc). The staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped me find a cheap gym.

A cozy little place to sleep and recharge after long days in the city. Mostly just the essentials here but that's what I wanted.

A good breakfast. The beds were exceptional for a Japanese hostel. (Vertical instead of horizontal was the only complaint, but it was an important one for me). The beds were very soft.

It’s been such a great time, I wish I’d booked it again for my return to Tokyo (for a return flight)!

For the price, it's actually pretty great. Wifi only works on the 18th floor though. But if you need a place to rest, Wi-Fi, charge your stuff, come here.

Delightful week at here, it was exceeded my expectations despite the affordable price. Masami and the team were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

It was a wonderful experience. Easy to check in. Near the trains station. Also near to 711 and family mart.

Fantastic Location. Close to Honjo Azumabashi. 400 metres. 2 access roads from station.
Use Exit with Lift if you are carrying luggage.
Walkable distance to Tokyo Skytree.

Very clean, nice minimalist aesthetic, and the location is great. Only 1 min walk from the metro station. The service from the staff is superb.

Only minutes from Ueno station.
Sleeping cubicles are comfortable, though ventilation could be better.
Bathrooms were clean.
Nice communal area downstairs for eating, working, socialising, etc.

Previously I stayed in hiromas for 5 days. The place really is comfy and the hostel is not far from Ueno station (its take just 10 minutes walking from Ueno station).

I'm from Thailand, I‘ve have been this hotel last 2 week! It was a good hotel for first time in Japan. Staff are very nice and the hotel very clean, quiet.

Great little hotel / hostel, a stone's throw from Ueno (station / park / you name it), which in itself is single train trip on the skyliner.

We had an amazing experience at this cozy Japanese traditional-style house! The owner was really friendly and we got to chat a bit before we left for Asakusa. I even got to take a picture with her!

The place is an old house and looks awesome, it's close to the station, there's a café on the 1st floor.
The staff is really kind.

A wonderful location in a wonderful community. This is a hostel where you room with strangers who become your friends. There is also an excellent coffee shop that is open Tuesday — Saturday.

Great value for the price — very safe, clean and quiet. The only issue was a musty smell in the ground floor room, likely from humidity.

Best option on a budget!
Nothing fancy you get a private room with everything you need in a great location for a similar price to a dorm room :)

I stayed at Hotel + Hostel Tokyo Asakusa 2 for my vacation in Tokyo and overall had a good experience.

Good location with lots of food nearby and quick walk to the train/metro. Room was small but got the job done and was relatively clean.

The Turn Table Hostel is a friendly hostel that provides dorms, share-bedrooms and single bedrooms.

I genuinely don’t know how anyone could have something negative to say about this place!

I stayed here with a friend for a week or two, and it was great. The hostel offers the basic necessities: a bed, a locker, and a bathroom. Basically a big dorm.

The hostel is very good. It’s an old Japanese house in a great area full of amazing restaurants and bars, and it’s not a long walk to the nearest train stations and bus stops.

I liked the rooms and the check-in process was easy with the tablet at the front even though we didn't receive a code.

June 2026 – We stayed here for only one night, but we wish we could have stayed longer!

Mash Cafe & Bed Nagano is a simple capsule-style hotel offering good value for money. The facilities are basic but sufficient for a short stay. Its location near the train station is very convenient.

I checked in and within a few minutes, felt very comfortable at my temporary Tokyo home! The 2 staff women were so, so sweet and welcoming! They quickly showed us everything needed for our stay.
