After viewing two different room types and comparing their prices and layouts, we decided that a duplex unit would be more suitable for two people.

My friend and I really liked it here. Everything in the room felt brand new. We especially loved the bathroom’s drying function — we could do laundry at night and wear the clothes again the next day!

This is, without a doubt, the best onsen ryokan I have ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely pristine, clean, and beautifully maintained.

The highlight of our trip. Maki and her mom are amazing. We experienced Japanese culture, food and hospitality at it's finest.

Housei is a traditional onsen hotel with large rooms and private bathrooms. The architecture is fascinating and the onsen is hot and mineral-rich, a pleasure to sit with snow falling on your head.

The shuttle bus driver waiting at the station was very friendly and took care of our bags. Arriving at the hotel, the staff greeted us very warmly and quickly got us into our rooms.

A lot of these reviews are complaining about the temperature, check in tablet, and hallway water source. I don’t understand where these are coming from as all were incredibly simple to operate.

I read through some of the other reviews of this accommodation and I don’t feel it deserves some of the critiques it received.
The rooms and building seem to be newly renovated.
