Tokyo Hotels

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at Sotetsu Freda Inn Tokyo Kanda for numerous reasons. It was my first time staying in this location and I was hesitant as I was unsure what it would be like.

The hotel is located less than 10 mins walk from Kanda station. Many restaurants, bars, and convenient shops along the way.

Rooms are small as per Japan standards but not overly small. Perfect for one person. It has all the basic amenities. The main advantage is the onsite hot bath and the free ramen and drinks at night.

We, 2 people, stayed at this hotel for 10 nights. The room was big enough for us (15sqm I believe).
The best parts about this hotel is the location as well as the public bath on the 12th floor.

Great location close to many metro stations. Room very small but very clean comfortable bed. Very strange pillows. Tv. Kettle and fridge in room. Perfect for sleeping in.

Famous hotel nowadays, small room size but comfortable. We choose the hotel just between Ueno &Akihabara. Ten minutes walking to Subway station. Easy way to Ginza.

Fantastic 8 night stay at super hotel premier akihabara! great location and friendly staff (I ADORE their little robot staff). The breakfast in the morning had a good rotation of different foods.

I had a great stay here for about five days. The like happy hour is pretty awesome. It's a good time to meet other people. I did also spend a lot of time just watching the water and sitting outside.

Stayed at Hotel Resol Tokyo during my Japan trip, and overall it was a really good experience.
The best part about this hotel is definitely the location.

We stayed in this fantastic hotel for 5 nights in December 2025.
The location is superb with 5-6 Train & Subway stations around YET it's very peaceful by the River.

Love the location! It is in a quant quiet little neighborhood with lots of great restaurants. About 10 mins from Shibuya crossing so doesn’t have the crowds but you can access easily enough.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our Second Stay—and Certainly Not Our Last.
This was our second stay at Tokyu Stay Shibuya, and after another wonderful experience, we’re confident it won’t be our last.

It's our second time staying at Hotel Coco Grand Kitasenju and it's always the best accommodation we've had in Tokyo. Rooms are larger than normal hotels in Japan, very clean, very organized.

There are several things about this hotel that make me smile :-) every details seems thoughtful.
— hearty breakfast.
— room is bigger than japanese standard (16sqm)
— big mirror inroom.

Ayase.
APA Hotel Ayase is great for our needs — close to the station, clean, and reasonably priced.

Very nice hotel. The location is good because it’s very close to metro and you can get across the city very easily and it’s far from the crowds and the neighborhood is quiet.

I stayed here for 4 nights, it was wonderful experiences. Great value for money. Full amenities including breakfast, tea, coffee, ice, water, pajamas that you can pick at the front areas.

The room, like any other rooms in Tokyo hotels are tiny if you have a huge luggage. But overall nice and clean. They changed the towels every day but will clean on your 3rd day, I think.

It's an alright hotel for its price.
Location is good, it's near Nishi Shinjuku station.

Front desk staff helpful. Rooms are on the small side but clean. It is only a few minutes walk from the main areas of Shijuku. Metro is on a parallel road in front of the hotel.

I really don’t understand what all the negative reviews are about. This hotel is in the centre of one of the main areas of Tokyo. You could not get a better location.

Located about 30 minutes drive away from the Tokyo Haneda International Airport in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Kanto, Japan, the Hotel Gracery Shinjuku is a 4-star hotel in the heart of the bustling Shinjuku

Excellent large apartment with balcony washing machine and kitchen.
I liked everything about this apartment and location.

Excellent apartment, everything you need, top quality, the staff here replied immediately when asked a question online, others hotels take note, not cheap, but I booked last minute, the apartment

I thought this hotel had lots of upsides especially for the price.
Great location in Shinjuku.

I travel a lot and I loved this hotel.
The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The service was impeccable, the included coffee and mini donuts all day & night is great.

Clean and comfortable! A bit of a walk from most attractions in Shinjuku but I would rather walk than be amidst the busyness. Would definitely recommend!

A very lovely place to stay! Check in and out was very simple and done on an iPad. In a quiet area but not far from the busier areas.

When we checked into the hotel this past Sunday, I realized that I had accidentally left my passport at Narita Airport.

Definitely recommend for solo travellers! Single room — Clean room large enough to fit 24” luggage with sufficient moving space.

This is the best Hotel in Japan!
The room is very comfortable and cleaning! I like the top floor and could see Mt. FUJI! The breakfast is awesome and healthy!

We knew the room was small, and it was. However this was easily made up with the most comfortable bed that we slept in whilst away. The pillows were not comfortable to use.

Loved the hotel.
However, found it inconvenient to work on laptop as power connection was too far from sofa. There was no chair to adjust the work position.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was neat, clean, and spacious, with a comfortable temperature throughout my stay. The breakfast was delicious and offered a good variety.

Overall a lovely hotel, close to the tozai train line, lots of eatery options around and many kombini stores. The room is spacious for Japanese standard and the bathroom awesome!

We stayed nine nights in this hotel. The first room that was given to us smelled of cigarettes. We notified the staff and they promptly offered a deep clean of the room while we were out.

The hotel lobby is on the fifth floor. There are shops and restaurants on other floors.

Good location just across the Nagano Station and has a Don Quijote attached to it and a Lawson kombini just outside the hotel.

Pros:
Ideal Location: Just steps from Zenkoji Temple. Perfect for Hatsumode, especially since the hotel remains open through midnight.
Great Service: The staff is quick and professional.

As other posts have said older styled hotel and rooms.
Service was fantastic and the hotel had the best bathroom of our trip. Breakfast was a good mix of Japanese and Western foods.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo. The location, rooms, comfort, and especially the staff are all exceptional.

The room is clean and comfortable, and the staff are kind, helpful and careful. Check-in makes people feel very relaxed. It will be a return visit to the hotel.

I only stayed here 1 night, if it wasn't so expensive I would have stayed more nights. I love the fact that there is no carpet as that just feels so much more hygienic.

We stayed here for 5 nights just recently in a spacious king room. The room was excellent but the true value is in its staff.
