Stayed for 2 nights. The room was great — clean, rustic, and all facilities were easy to use. The wooden tub was a great touch to end the cold day as well! Cleaning was done nicely during our stay, and we didn’t have much to do in terms of check-in and check-out. Was surely a traditional Japanese experience with modern comforts.
It can be a bit cold in the evening especially around the stairs area, so I recommend bringing a sweater to be extra comfy!
Overall a great stay, would love to come back if I get the chance.

We had a wonderful stay here! It's so perfectly situated, close enough to the bustling city and many shrines to visit them quickly and often via 1 bus or train, but far enough to be a peaceful home base to rest at after a busy day.
The townhouse was so clean and so comfortable. So much thought was put into making sure guests enjoy their stay.
Also, I cannot recommend getting a meal plan enough! We had the breakfast (yuba) and it made sure we got a taste of some of Kyoto's traditional cuisine.
