Kyoto Hotels near Toji Temple

We had such a good time here. We were a little reluctant because it outside of the city, we almost where going to cancel. Really glad we didn't the train station is close by and and also the bus stop.

Quiet yet convenient location with a beautiful park in the vicinity. Room is larg6and clean. Staff are warm and sincere, especially Ms Aina Sao, a housekeeper, and Alan, a waiter of the restaurant.

Great hotel. Spacious room as we took the standard room (31m2) with separate shower, sink and toilet area. Staff was attentive, helpful and can understand English very well.

I haven’t had such an amazing experience at a hotel before. Hotel Emion may be a 3-star hotel but it feels like a 5-star hotel with 10/10 service from the staff.

The breakfast is incredible, a huge variety for all global palates. The rooms are spacious and spotless, with 2 sinks.

Great hotel. I stayed here 8 nights. It’s only a 5-7 minute walk to Kyoto station and from there it’s easy to travel anywhere you like. The staff is very friendly and always available to help.

I stayed at Kyoto Royal Park Umekoji for a few nights and had a very pleasant experience.

This hotel is truly worth the money. The location is quite convenient, very close to the station and just one stop away from Kyoto Station.

It was such a pleasant stay. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I first had to cancel the booking after the deadline and it was accepted, which was very kind.

It's a nice place. You have choices of sleeping in Japanese style bed or normal bed.

We booked the Japanese-style family room. Plenty of room for the four of us. My two sons loved the tatami.
The apartment hotel is near the Kyoto Station. In front of a very nice temple as well.

Firstly be sure of the address (this one is Yaoyacho) as there are two hotels with same name nearby (not sure why they hv to name both so similar as we ended up at the other one via taxi).

It was a amazing experience to stay in Ryokan shimizu. Loved how quietly it was and the private bath was amazing. Had the chance to try calligraphy, I think I did well 😅.

What a wonderful place, we stayed here 2 nights.
Breakfast was included, we had a traditional breakfast.
The family that runs the ryokan is absolutely lovely.

I really liked my stay at the hotel. The staff was cordial and tried its best, even with the linguistic barrier.

Perfectly located just opposite Toji station with literally a 5 minute rail ride to Kyoto central station. Rooms are nice, quite spacious for Japan, and the breakfast is good.

Absolutely loved my stay at hotel androoms. Room was large and comfortable, with a beautiful bathroom. Coat brush and shoe horn provided, as well as pajamas and other amenities.

Great place to relax and unwind after spending the day in Tokyo!  Staff were extra kind and extremely helpful.  The facilities and decor are top-notch.

Positives:
-We had a whole apartment to ourselves — it was nice having 2 separate rooms, one western style, one Japanese style.

This isn't a 3-star hotel. It totally deserves 4 stars! The room was huge, the service was super friendly, and it even has an onsen.

A new, clean, Japanese-style hotel with excellent service. The best thing about it is its location, right in the heart of Kyoto's train station.

Awesome hotel with lovely rooms and both public and private onsen. Whole hotel is floored with tatami mats — so shoes are kept in lockers at reception.

Such a nice place to stay and conveniently located next to the train station + places to eat and shop.
Not to mention right next to the railway museum.

I have been in this hotel for 8 nights. Really great. Room super clean, kitchen furnished with all the basic tools and bathroom with washing machine.

I stayed here for three nights. Great location in a real neighborhood which gives you an authentic Japanese experience. It's close to most attractions, shopping areas, and the Kyoto train station.

Stayed for 2 nights. The room was great — clean, rustic, and all facilities were easy to use. The wooden tub was a great touch to end the cold day as well!

Comfortable stay with halal breakfast option available. Loved it!

Good location. Very friendly staff at the front desk, but won’t be there all the time. Clean, comfortable, lot of storage space, enough utensils for 4 people. The kitchen fan is noisy.

I honestly love the room as it is so spacious! This hotel is right next to the Kyoto station making transportation easy and for kids it is next door to a cat cafe.

It’s a good walk from the main station so get the local train service to Toji (1 stop) and walk around the corner to it. Doing this there is a small Nepal/Indian restaurant near the overpass that do

The hotel is situated in a not-so-busy area but is so close to public transportation options. I am happy to discover the area, especially when I joined their activity to the Toji Temple.

Basic clean twin bed room with kitchen with aircond room which is added point.
The kitchen is usable. But need some pot silicon mat & table towel to clean off.

The experience was nice, got a good deal for 2 days at just around 12K inr for two days in November peak season. They have small kitchenette and microwave which is very useful.

Good value for money.
Despite arriving much earlier than official check-in time (arrived at 2pm, but room is available by 4pm onwards), we are allowed to check-in to our room.

The hotel is in a very strategic location, just a short walk from Kyoto Station and Aeon Mall. The service was excellent, and the stay was very comfortable. Highly recommended.

The corner suite is fantastic with an excellent view of Kyoto tower. The room is very big with a large dining table, 2 big tv's, fully loaded kitchen and a large bathroom.

Outstanding, loved our stay here. Great spot close to Kyoto Station, Kyoto Tower, and vast numbers of eating and drinking spots. Would absolutely stay here again on another Kyoto visit.

The hotel is simply amazing.
We left our luggage before check-in and went to explore the city.
During check-in we were offered welcome drinks, which was a very pleasant surprise.

The room was clean and comfortable, a bit small but as expected. The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made our stay really pleasant.

I had a truly wonderful stay! The hospitality of the hosts was exceptional — warm, kind, and always willing to help. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.

Of all the hotels we stayed at, this was our favorite.

We just checked out two days ago, I loved this hotel so much, the staff is so friendly and helpful. It’s clean and cozy we didn’t wanna leave 🥲 it’s close to the kyoto station in a calm neighbourhood.

Convenient location a short walk from Kyoto station. Staff were very helpful and spoke English.

We stayed at Rinn Kyoto Station for five nights in a King Room and it turned out to be a really comfortable and great value stay in Kyoto.

Everything went really from the check-in to the checkout. Staff, breakfast and room were super nic.

We stayed for 3 days and it was an absolute plessure. Everybody is so friendly, polite and attentive. It is the best place to have an authentic ryokan experience. The breakfast was very delicous.

Tabist Groove in Kyoto exceeded all my expectations.

The staff was very helpful with any questions I had about the city and were very nice. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed.
