What an enjoyable stay. Before our stay all stay details and cost information was provided so there was little confusion on checkin.

They’re so nice and the room was quiet, cozy, and comfortable. The onsen on the 2nd floor is small but tattoos are okay. Traditional breakfast in a private room was perfect.

We had such a wonderful experience at Kagihei. We wish we stayed longer. What a lovely surprise to find such peace and tranquility so close to the busy Nishiki market.

What a wonderful stay and experience. I've stayed in Kyoto many times, but this was the first time we decided to stay at Watazen Ryokan for a different experience from a typical hotel.

This property was wonderful and enabled me to be relaxed during my stay. Solo travel or in a group. The facility is very well located.

The facility is so clean, well maintained, friendly staffs, the breakfast is very good, unlimited rice and toppings are plus points.

We stayed for 3 nights in a traditional tatami room and absolutely loved the experience we shared. The staff are extremely respectful, the amenities offered were above and beyond.

I choose Nazuna Kyoto Gosho for my daughter's experience of a modern ryokan. We stayed in the Yatsuhashi room.

While pricey, this modern ryoken delivers quality and consistent service at a great Kyoto location time after time.

This hotel was located a 20 minute walk from the main Kyoto station…. Temples and viewing tower. Approximately 10 minutes to the main town — Gion region and old town (beautiful).

Room was comfortable, clean and inviting. The view of the skyline was enjoyable. Walkable everywhere we wanted to go and very close to the local train station.

The good: very friendly staff, options to have more pillows, an iron, electricity plug converters, etc. Great coffee and nice toiletry selection. Modern-looking and comfortable rooms.

Smooth, nothing much to comment. Agoda stated guests would be charged at check-in for the city tax.

Great cosy place, washing machine, small hot plate, etc.
Minor point is location from Kyoto station but near other tourist locations (markets, etc. ), luggage on second floor is a bit painful.

What a gem of a place! Although we arrived earlier than planned the check in staff kindly held our bags while we strolled around the area.

Our stay at Matsui Bekkan Hanakanzashi exceeded expectations. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully traditional while still offering modern comfort.

Traditional room and experience. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The traditional breakfast was amazing — tip: order less than you would otherwise because it is a lot of food.

You get what you pay for considering the look and the bathrooms in the rooms.

10 mins walk to Omiya train station. Pharmacy, restaurant, bus stop, convenience store are nearby the hotel.
However, this location is far from the happening area in kyoto.

I stayed at Urban Hotel Kyoto Shijo Premium for two nights and had a really enjoyable experience.

We had an amazing stay at Ryokan Kohro.

Tucked away in a quiet street, this lovely ryokan has public baths and gorgeous spacious rooms. We also had a traditional diner which consisted of 8 courses. We paired it with sake.

Great place for two people. Walkable distance from 2 train stations. Self-check-in process is very easy and well explained. It's like a mini puzzle game.

Perfect for two people. We enjoyed our stay for four nights. The shared washing machine and microwave allowed us to not have to go out for breakfast restaurant.

— There are 2 floors. The bedrooms are upstairs with 2 rooms + shared area where 3 people sleep. It sleeps in total 6 people confortable.

Have just spent several nights here and after roughly a month of travel the ability to self cater and eat simple foods can not be understated.
