Cheap hotels in Kyoto near Mikane Shrine

An amazing experience. The host is fantastic. Unfortunately, 5 stars is the maximum available notation but the place definitely deserves more.

Toni is an incredible host with excellent recommendations for the surrounding city of Kyoto. Kokonoe Machiya is a very beautifully restored Ryokan with gorgeous attention to detail.

Very helpful owners, clean and well maintained, futons were comfortable to sleep on, and near Karasume Oike train station which is relatively central location on Kyōto.

Stayed here a few months ago and had a great experience! The host was welcoming and was very helpful in making our trip to Kyoto memorable. The room we stayed very nice and comfortable.

Great cheap hostel with very friendly staff. The location can not be beat. Visited in the winter it was cozy and warm, small but comfortable.

Stay at this hundreds of years old house if you are in Kyoto. The Property Manager is one of the kindest people you'll meet in Japan.

I stayed there for 5 nights.
The hostel is located around an hour (by foot) from kyoto station.
The street was calm, quiet and dark at night perfect for sleeping.

If you are fed up with the monotonous hotels that are common in Japan, this is the place for you. If you are looking for excessive quality, I recommend staying at the Hilton Hotel.
