So I definitely didn't look at the description/photos closely enough. For context this was my first time traveling to japan and traveling alone, so I booked the tatami room for myself. What I didn't realize is that there are only 3 rooms total for guests to stay in and the whole place is two floors with two toilets and one shared tub/shower. It was definitely kind of jank and felt like coming home to my grandparents' house in China. As a solo traveler, it didn't feel like a great value in the end but it would definitely be worth it for partners traveling together.
Nevertheless, it was a memorable experience. The owner was very nice, and it was a great relationship from the start. He's just a chill guy and loves to joke and talk to people of different backgrounds. He would always be there as I headed out for sightseeing in the morning and when I would come back to the room to rest. Very wholesome vibes. Also it's in a great location.
