Hostels in Tokyo PrefectureHostel

My friend and I stayed here for two nights in a private twin room, and we had a great experience.

The counter staff are very polite and willing to help. They can communicate fluently in English with guests. It takes less than five minutes to walk from the hotel to Kaminari Mon.

For the price, it's actually pretty great. Wifi only works on the 18th floor though. But if you need a place to rest, Wi-Fi, charge your stuff, come here.

Delightful week at here, it was exceeded my expectations despite the affordable price. Masami and the team were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

Only minutes from Ueno station.
Sleeping cubicles are comfortable, though ventilation could be better.
Bathrooms were clean.
Nice communal area downstairs for eating, working, socialising, etc.

Previously I stayed in hiromas for 5 days. The place really is comfy and the hostel is not far from Ueno station (its take just 10 minutes walking from Ueno station).

The place is an old house and looks awesome, it's close to the station, there's a café on the 1st floor.
The staff is really kind.

A wonderful location in a wonderful community. This is a hostel where you room with strangers who become your friends. There is also an excellent coffee shop that is open Tuesday — Saturday.

Walls are thin, doors are a little heavy and a little loud (unavoidably).
Ginza line around the corner was convenient.
Location is very beautiful.
I absolutely would come back.
Thank you very much.

Great value for the price — very safe, clean and quiet. The only issue was a musty smell in the ground floor room, likely from humidity.

Perfect location for solo travelers in Tokyo! Staff is very friendly, and the place is nice and clean😊

I checked in and within a few minutes, felt very comfortable at my temporary Tokyo home! The 2 staff women were so, so sweet and welcoming! They quickly showed us everything needed for our stay.

Hotel Adonis is a hostel, not a luxury hotel, so it’s important to set your expectations accordingly.

Clean facilities, soft beds, great thai food downstairs. Anyone complaining about the shower is probably on their first time to Japan.

I am so satisfied with this hotel. The service is impeccable and the check-in was smooth and semi-automatic. The interior is well designed and cozy. Everything is clean and well-arranged.

This place was awesome! Very affordable, clean, and comfortable. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. I loved the manga collection.

To start this off, this is not a hotel it is a hostel, so some of the reviews you see are very confusing almost as if they was expecting a spacious modernised place in which you can spend hours in.

Affordable solution with good amenities but underwhelming presentation and layout.

Pretty good hostel overall!
+ : good location, clean, modern hostel, good Wi-Fi connection, self check-in.

If you can stay quietly, have earpods, This hostel is a nice option!
I was worried about staying this hostel because of bad reviews. But staff is kind and every guest tried to be quiet in hostel.

Hello! Is there a safe place in the hostel to park a bicycle?

Really loved our stay here. The room was clean, spacious and felt very homely. Location was a bit far from the station but we didn’t mind the walk!

Very nice and clean place with beautiful balcony where you can sit at evening time enjoy your drinks smoke and food. Stayed there for six nights. Very close to subway.

Well I was there at Mid-May’25
So in 6beds room, there were only 2 more other people. So it wasn’t crowded. You have all your space as capsule.

I stayed here as a last minute accomodation not expecting much at all and was pleasantly surprised.

Really nice cheap place to stay, the room is super small but you get used to it, and the location is just perfect.

One of the most social hostels I’ve ever stayed at. As a solo traveler, it’s super easy to meet people and find others to do activities with.

This is your classic fun, affordable hostel with great staff. Is it the cleanest? Well, no, but that's not what folks are here for.
The staff are wonderful, fun people.

Tiny friendly comfortable hostel in Tokyo. Glad to be here, can sleep peacefully and get ready for a new day.

This place was great. It's definitely a hostel so if you're expecting something nicer or more luxury, don't.

Suitable for solo traveler and deep sleeping person. You can hear people walk around and use the toilet or bathroom. Overall the place and toilet is clean. Worth with the price.

Self service, read the rules and you're good to go. The best part abt it is the lounge quality despite the low cost per capsule. 3000 for one night and free Wi-Fi and free locker and free bathroom?

Stayed here for 2 weeks.
The location is great, its near Mejiro train station so you'll get anywhere you want in no time.

The rooms are small but are very cosy and Also very secure, has many stores close by.
It's close to the train station with a short walk which will take you straight into the city in one ride which

This place appears to have gotten a lot of unfairly given one star reviews, so I thought I'd give a fairer one.
The hostel is perfectly fine for the price.

I really enjoyed my time there. The location is great. There is a train station nearby. Izakayas, markets and the best miso ramen place next door. People are very nice and they own a cool bar ♥️♥️

This is also a place that caters to men. The place that was for women was one floor. Is was quiet and we liked the neighborhood but the bunk bed was terribly squeaky which made it hard to sleep.

Really enjoyed this place, our room was upstairs and was nice. If there's no one at reception then ring the door bell. Make sure you tell them in advance what time you're arriving.

Very cheap place to stay, nice and quiet neighborhood. The owner is a very nice man with good English vocabulary. Rooms are quite small and the amenities are also small.

As others have stated, the written rules are simply too much, No kitchen after 23:30, Quick shower, Don't jump on the 2nd floor, etc. The owner is not as bad as I thought.
