SPA Hotels in Kyushu

This Onsen ryokan was so good that we added an extra night!

There are no words to accurately express how wonderful this ryokan is. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms comfortably appointed, the private onsens perfection, and the food and service spectacular.

We had one night and 2 meals.
A very elegant and nice clean hotel with helpful staff. You wake up with a stunning view!
It is a hidden gem in Aso.

Did a horse back ride only. Took the 30 minute trail which was interesting. Very friendly personnel and well trained horses that you get to control on your own.

Absolutely nice and cosy room. Location is on a slope so might be a bit hassle for some, but not a big issue. Carpark is available. Note that all restaurants closed after 5/6pm.

Nice, spacious, quiet and clean Japanese tatami room but power plugs were not conveniently located, had to either unplug the water boiler that is behind the safe or use the one in the bathroom.

It’s been an amazing stay here. The room is beautiful, and the dinner, both the food and the service were outstanding.

Had an amazing stay at Gekkoju. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. We stayed in the Yumemi room, which had a private outdoor onsen with a view of the sunset!

This review pertains to the onsen, accessible with an onsen pass. I arrived on foot from Kurokawa, a pleasant thirty-minute walk.

This is a quick review of our stay at the end of Nov 2025.
Room: a little bit dated but clean.

It is a very old hotel but very well maintained and stylish. Their services are excellent and the places are so clean. Their onsen is good.

I'm giving this place 5-stars because:
-The complementary coffee was fantastic.
— The lounge area was great. Sipping coffee there was awesome.

We chose to stay in the traditional Japanese rooms where you sleep on the floor. Mommy and I loved it. The Gaijin, not so much. They missed being in a Western bed.

The hotel may be on the older side, but the charm is certainly alive. We had a comfortable room with all that we needed, and received excellent service. The onsen was great too!

We are currently staying in this hotel.
Benefit — hotel has an onsen.
So, before you busy day starts and after your busy day you may relax at beautiful hot spring.
Hotel location.

We stayed in the tatami room for three nights. The hotel room is old but as clean as a Japanese hotel. The front staff were guided in English and were very polite.

I stayed here because I wanted to use the sauna.
First of all, from the hotel…
From the entrance, take the elevator to the front floor.

Since I'm on a business trip, I had a good breakfast.
Sashimi on the first day.
The second day is sea bream chazuke.
Both were delicious.

To me, the room is a bit small. The breakfast at executive lounge is limited and standard.

Great Hilton property! Superb rooms! Awesome ocean views. The breakfast buffet is pretty huge but very busy with a nice variety of things.

Definitely an older building but it’s relatively clean aside from the mold that I noticed around the shower mirror. I’d say the location was good.

This traditional ryokan truly hit all our expectations. The old-style architecture is full of character, yet everything was very clean and well maintained.

Centrally located, only 2 minutes away from the main station and about 10 minutes away from the bus station.

The hotel is so cosy and staff is very friendly. The dinner and breakfast are also nice. Very suitable for bringing elderly and kids there.

Had a really relaxing stay in this Ryokan. The place is in the old Ryokan Onsen Village. It’s nice to walk around the area as it’s very near to museums, the famous Beppu Hells. And other landmarks.

Close to the station and friendly service. I liked the self service check in/out — very convenient.

The hotel is close to Saga Station. The room is clean and offers free breakfast. Although it's free, the food is delicious. Coffee and tea are provided at any time.

I recently stayed at Hizenya Tsuetate Kanko Hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. Prior to booking, I had read several reviews mentioning that the hotel was old, which made me a bit concerned.

A very enjoyable hot spring experience, complete with a bowling alley and arcade for the kids. Great all you can eat buffet for dinner and breakfast.

This is a beautiful hotel located within a short walking distance to all of the main attractions of Yufuin.

This is the first time to visit the Fukuoka, and this hotel is the first hotel after landing. We lend the car and drive there from the Fukuoka airport.

A very lovely place with great rooms and service. Rooms were clean and were very cosy. We had arranged for dinner and breakfast and it was one of the best meals we had during our trip.

We had the most amazing time at this Ryokan. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. Staff were uber professional, friendly and spoke very good english.

Japanese room is nice. You will get your own toilet and shower with little bathtub. No need to share. But the shared bathroom is a must. The facilities is better in the shared bathroom.
Good service.

We chose this Onsen for our stay because we wanted to use their outdoor baths to experience the autumn colors. We were still a little early for the full colors, but the maples were in full color.

Title: Exceptional Service, Relaxing Onsen, and Adorable Pets!
★★★★★ A Memorable Short Stay.
We spent two nights here and were thoroughly impressed.
· Staff: Unbelievably attentive and kind.

A really good onsen experience with yakiniku style kaiseki dinner. A garden with cats you can relax in and many different private onsens you can enjoy. The owner and staff are really nice people too.

The room is comfortable, the receptionist is friendly and will introduce the services one by one to you upon check in… I purchased the package including the breakfast, overall satisfied with the

I used the tatami room on the second floor and the room condition was good.
The view is amazing. It looks like a nice cafe view in Bukchon Hanok Village.
